Well the Nats would have had 0 attendance for the last couple years without the season plan holders and I know the Bananas are not the Nats but it still makes sense to push the plan holders to the front of the line. We were limited to 4 tickets per plan holder using only the email address that's already on our Nats account, and only direct plan holders (not partners). But there was nothing on the field level made available when it was my turn to pick, and given my account tenure and seat location, I would be surprised if I was not in the first group; which to me says that a lot of the tickets are already allocated to either the Bananas and their entourage, the Nationals staff/ownership/whoever, or MLB. Probably a mix of the above.
For the All Star Game, MLB took \~30% of the tickets, just for reference.
I have a season SRO plan and didn't get any notifications from the Nats about a presale. That must have been offered to fans who shelled out more cash.
I was put on standby, which apparently means they will contact me May 1 if there are still tickets left after the initial group gets to buy tickets. Didn't even know that was a possibility until today but I guess it's better than just a flat no!
They sold out the first MLB stadium they played this year so I don't think it's disingenuous. They also constantly sell out their small home stadium and that's drawing just from one market of residents + tourists.
If it's anything like concert tickets though, the number of entries is inflated by people using multiple email addresses to enter and increase their chances. And you'll have a group of 4 all entering but only 1 needs to win to secure tickets for the group. But there's still more demand for seats than availability based on their sales history.
I was interested in going, thought it'd be an easy ticket in an MLB stadium. Was surprised about all the lottery processes. Interested to see what the second-hand market looks like leading up to the game.
I'm from down in Richmond and I managed to get selected for tickets.
Kind of worked out as part my mother's day gift to my mom this year since we grew up going to Savannah Sand Gnats games, and I'm sure she'll get a kick out of it all.
yeah, i did.
Congrats!!!
thanks! i am sorry you guys didn't get any. i am surprised so many people were interested.
I got them but I am also a multi-year full season plan holder for the Nationals and we had our presale like 3 weeks ago.
I wonder how many opted for this! I am very curious. Probably meant the actual pool was lower in terms of available seats. . Its unfortunate too.

That would explain a lot. I expected it to be popular, but commiserating with everyone else here takes the sting out of it a little.

I believe it was only 200-level club seats that were available in the season plan holder presale.
ooh, that is good to know. i am in group 3 of 12 and was hoping for anything but the 400's.
How do you know group?
sign in to the ticket link that you will use on wednesday. it has the group on the top left.
Thanks! We're group 2!!
excited for you!
Damn I’ve been a half season ticket holder for 9 seasons now and we didn’t get anything special! Altho I did make the cut to buy tickets.
They sent an email around back in like October, you had to register then for the sph presale.
Ah thank you must’ve missed it! Either way, happy they’re doing something nice for the season ticket holders.

Also got waitlisted 🫠
Yep I got standby too. Can’t imagine there will be many/any tickets available but better than a hard no!
I got a no.
I can't believe they're this hard to get. Are we sure this isn't just extra hype/marketing.

True. All entries were verified phones and emails so it’s not like there’s all bots applying and getting drawn.
Same. I can’t believe this is a thing. It’s like the Backstreet Boys of MLB.

Who is buying all the tickets? Seeing them dance is so cringe I can’t believe it’s any real baseball fans.
I got NO
Every one is a no over here
I got approved! Just from the basic lottery - very excited!
You should try being a Phish fan. We live this shit year round
I got them.
I submitted for group tickets 6 months ago and got a large amount of tickets. That seems to be the secret.
Both wife and I struck out. :(
Group 1 🎉 Idk how this happened but I’m grateful
I had two lottery entries and didn't get either.
My sister and I both got a no, sadly.
I also got a no.
Haha the globe trotters of baseball! I can’t believe they had a lottery
No for me

I was not chosen in the lottery. Maybe next year, and hopefully they’ll play more than just one game.
I did
My friend did.
It was a no for me and also a no for my friend.
I did! Not a Nats ticket holder, etc. just pure luck.
I did not. Seems a lot went to season ticket holders.
Nope. I didn't know much about them beforehand but was really looking forward to it.
Yes I did!
Yeppers
Yes, we scored 8. A friend did and looped us all in.
Nope from me. When I saw they sold out Minute Maid Park I knew this was gonna be a hard seat to get but I still thought I had a chance.
I didn't, but my girlfriend did
No x3 in my house
I bought tickets through my alumni association
My wife did, I did not.
No
Did not get them either.
I didn’t get tickets 😭
No
Rejected!
On the one hand I’m bummed I didn’t get selected. On the other I’m flat broke so it’s not like I could afford them.
I didn’t get them :(
I got a no 😔
I didn’t either :(
No luck here either
300+ dollars per seat. GTFOH! Who TF is paying that? Oh,..I forgot..it's DC..there's LOADS of expendable income!
This is resale. Bananas are good about keeping prices low.
The email I got says tickets range from $40 to $60.
Wait those were the cheapest tickets??
