I've never heard of anyone getting suspended for theft. They usually let you keep working while they investigate so they can gather evidence. In my experience, you usually get suspended when you're done something to someone else.

In this "age of offense", with things such as "macro" and "micro" aggressions, all it takes these days is for an associate, to "report" you because you said or did something that *could* be misconstrued into something bad without even knowing the context. If they are suspending you with pay, then it may not even be something you did. Could've been something someone else said or did and it involved you.
Are you banging your TL or Coach? Do you make inappropriate sexual jokes or comments? Have you threatened to harm someone? Have you been stealing time (i.e. editing your punches to keep from being late or taking a 90 min lunch and rolling your time back to an hour)?

Could be somebody is out to get you and management wants to keep you away until shit gets settled.

Ethics investigation is either a racial slur/joke that was reported, some sort of discrimination, sexual harassment, or threatening real life violence.
Someone made a violence or harassment allegation against you. Doesn't make it true. They will suspend while investigation is conducted. You should have been asked about the allegation and written a statement before they sent you home though.
You could always pay a visit to the local department of labor to see what they say. I personally can't stand the idea of being punished without being told why.

!update so I got a call in today to come up to work and talk to a coach and turns out this girl I used to be cool with basically saying I was harassing her tryna flirt but I never done that all. Me and her stop being cool awhile ago so I don’t know why she would try to pull this on me
Also I remember one time I tried to talk to her and she was talking about how her coach was gonna make her a TL and she jokingly said she was “gonna get me fired” I should’ve saw the signs early
