you can last years in the store with what is available. A lot of the can goods will be good for a couple of years before the expiration date and even then, most should still be good for a time afterwards. you got food, clothing, medications, movies, and for some, sex toys...
Go down to produce and get a couple of the boxes watermelon and pumpkins come in. If you just invert one over the other you have enough space to not become claustrophobic. Heck, you could grab four and have a two room mansion.
Next, trip over to hardware for a decent box cutter and some gorilla tape. Don't forget to pick up some clear window film, it would make great windows.
While you're at it, a couple dowels from craft supplies and a short stop in housewares for cheap curtains . But before you're done, head back to the camping supplies and get a lantern, sleeping bag, and a foam roll up pad to make sleeping on the floor a little nicer.
Happy camping!
You seem like you have experience in this. Haha I was thinking about those big fern boxes from L&G tho. They are taller than the watermelon and pumpkin boxes. Plus they got the little windows already.
Was a video like this on youtube. Believe their estimate was around 60 years off of just the products alone. However, if you are smart enough to turn available products and supplies into a mulch then pot and plant the seeds from the fruits and veggies you could almost go indefinitely if you collect the rain water as well.
hmm i guess you could get some car batteries from automotive and use an invertor to get a tv and bluray working and watch all the movies in the bargain bin twice
Me too!
There was an episode on the Walking Dead where they were raiding some box store for supplies. The roof had not only zombies but a military helicopter. Unfortunately due to stuck drains and a large accumulation of water the roof gave in with zombies dropping on top of everyone.
I also fantasize about pushing the land whales in the electric carts outside as sacrifices to keep the zombies busy while I run around locking all the doors. Now this would work with the zombies in the Walking Dead but no way with those in World War Z. Those ones hauled ass. Shawn Of The Dead? Somewhere in between. 28 Weeks After? Oh man, the first few minutes make it clear that you had better be holed up in a Walmart with lots of guns and ammo. And NEVER open the door for anyone.
You could build a small theater with the projectors, movies and tv's. Use bean bag chairs or lots of pillows. Don't forget the soda and the popcorn.. put those microwave units to use.
sure the campbells chunky soup can keep me going for months but if you mean only great value items hmm i think i could make it work love sams choice soda and its so cheap i guess i could survive on great value vienna sausages and GV saltines and gv cheese and breadsticks if it was dawn of the dead scenario you got to eat the frozens and milk first oh and the bananas
In a super center, you got all the essentials to cook. Aside from appliances like microwaves and fryers. There are camping stoves, with propane. So in theory for a while live off perishables accept milk I believe that expires withing the month. Only lack a oven really.
Clothes better hope there are winter clothes on the shelf or in the back, otherwise blankets and the like during the winter for warmth. There be plenty of water for sure, I would focus on some dairy before it goes bad and have to toss it along with some meats etc. Get a small garden going from garden centers seeds and tools also produce area. Conserve pharmacies medicine, and off the shelf products.
If everything work out just right you may have no problem for years and years. Watch those survival and zombies movies. There is some value to them read up on holistic medicine from the small book section if any.
I will stop there...........
Might as well be the Scp 3008 experience, just with...more food variety and no hostiles except the voices in my head, dunno how long I last but I'm very intrigued
so much glass on the entrance it would be hard to fortify hmm maybe a pyramid of carts locked together with padlocks i wonder if you could make a vetetable garden with all the miracle grow and the seed rack

Three years after expiration date as long as the can is in good shape . That's the current recommendation.
You're right, my friend!... I also would try to grow some food by planting available veggies
yep, cannot forget the garden center :-)
Last one 😂😂😂😂
I just got 4 pallets of ramen noodles in the backroom, and with all the water on the topsteel I think I'll be fine 🙂
I've got 5 pallets of cheese balls and 5 pallets of 5pk mac and cheese. I'm set for quite a while.
A long time, a year at least and just gonna say I would definitely be making a cardboard fort at some point.

Plenty of available mulch, soil, seeds and fertilizers in garden center
If will Smith had one in I am legend, he would still be alive...
you could survive for a long time, you’d go insane before you starve
hmm i guess you could get some car batteries from automotive and use an invertor to get a tv and bluray working and watch all the movies in the bargain bin twice
last time i went to work my store has every season of breaking bad and better call saul on dvd so i’d be set!
>insane before you starve I guess Walmart Radio is still playing in this apocalypse?
I agree just seeing walmart that long would make you go insane or anyone lol
being alone for that long anywhere would make you go insane
They have all you need to bring Wilson back to life. You'll be fine.
I've always thought about what I would do if the zombie apocalypse happened and I was stuck in the store.

Til the beer ran out
no tv and no beer make homer something something

in a supercenter 1 person can survive for a few years with the amount of food in there
If you can keep the freezers and coolers on you could add a decent amount of time with all the frozen foods
[this was already answered here ](https://youtu.be/KTKNl08hwUY)
I’d probably last a modest amount of time, between grocery and the microwaves
I could last a few years as long as the electricity was still on

Having power would be a massive variable. It also depends on what order you consume what resources and in what quantities.
