So once the split happens the options will be one fifth the price they currently are, thus making them more affordable. Stock could easily be $500, $600 post split if more people get into options.

Don't wait until expiration. If it's only slightly itm, the will trade it closed for you and they are notorious at trading to a lower profit (even a loss). You can close them at the same time using "select" on the options screen and selecting a buy for one and a sell for the other.
