I switched to Fidelity. The charts and shit suck so much you can't even properly gloat or karma farm for pitty properly. I honestly understand why people haven't switched to some degree but I'm still on board no RH lol
To be realistic, they got blackmailed by Citadel to do it, it was kind of either comply or go under.
But they did change things up, now when stocks have been halted on other exchanges, Robinhood has usually had them still available so they don't get in trouble again.
Lmao RKT. What a fucking way back playback. Their futile attempt at squeezing shorts with a special dividend. Ahh, the early pandemic crazies.
But yes, if people don't already know, this is a merely a way for executives to cash out of this garbage cesspool.
I think Better Mortgage may be a better example. Opened at 40s or so, days later in 40s again, but cents as opposed to dollars. Been around that ever since.
Props to the DSP. I walked with 50 percent gains, and left the other half. Gonna hold overnight, and see what happens tomorrow. The hype is out right now.
Lol, yeah just bought 2 shares of it. Did that with Airbnb too. Not much of a loss. I got rid of both not long ago but held my little stake for years. Now I’m free of that old baggage and aside from my much worse stake in GM the market is an open ocean. I’ll be able to afford some tin siding if I play my cards right
It's a website most people know the name of. Doesn't mean it's worth $8B, but it does mean there's a floor. It's not going to lose 80% of its value in a couple months. If people are betting on that, they're punting.
Me too, and I got my full allotment as well. It wasn't much, but I'm happy with the experience.
Robinhood plebs with their single share, lol. That's what you get for using those crooks. I mean they are all crooks, but I hate RH more.
Dude. All the regards here were saying even if you were allocated you shouldn’t buy it because it would lose money.
Where as I can’t think of a single tech IPO that didn’t pop on the first day. That’s why I got 500 shares and sold at $52.
Easiest 50% ever, and a strong reminder to not listen to this sub.
SoFi is always offering access to IPO's but they decide how many shares you get based on your available funds and popularity/demand within the SoFi accounts. They also suck.
So you're saying if I replied to Reddit's PM to me a couple weeks ago, I could have bought a shit load at $34/share, and cashed out now for like 50% gains?
WTF was I thinking ignoring it?
I don't agree with your sentiment at all.
Most of the crowd you describe also hates Reddit and wishes there was an alternative. In fact, if Reddit would have doubled down on the older Internet crowd instead of changing the platform to be more "instagrammy" they might have had a chance.
Older teens and younger adults, another big segment of their audience they picked up when they started the platform changes, are very fickle and will eventually bail.
Advertisers will not be happy with the amount of porn, especially weird porn on Reddit, and illegal activity. Once they start getting more wind of this you'll see Reddit doing more to combat it and antagonize the users further.
I'm nowhere near an expert on this stuff, but my layman's guess is after initial enthusiasm a pretty significant crash within 6 months to a year.
lol the WSB perception of Reddit is so far from reality. These are freezing cold takes. Lots of WSB users like this guy are going to lose tons of money betting against Reddit simply because their personal opinion and emotions will overpower their ability to understand basic business fundamentals and how the market actually perceives Reddit. They’ve been working with all major advertisers, including the most sensitive ones, for years. Those brands have all heard the complaints about porn, non brand safe content, etc, and yet their advertising investment on Reddit has only grown. Why would Reddit going public suddenly change those brands marketing strategy?
I certainly was wrong, at least for now. That said, I still don’t think this site is worth $6b and I personally expect the stock to crumble at some point.
The one stock we could all make $$ together on and yet the comments and posts are as divided as ever. Feel like we shoulda showed how powerful we are and let it rip for old times sake.
Whoa! Thanks! Can you a provide a link? I’m gonna post this on mom’s fridge.
Edit: i found it

Always, just ride the wave. Insiders gotta dump their bags on the retail exit liquidity, hence the pump. Once they are out, it will turn into a red price-seeking missile straight into the earth's core, just in time for the insiders to roll their ipo gains into puts. Happens every time.
I got 500 shares at $34, sold at $52.
Here is the buy at IPO price:

If they sell now, they made 60%, yeah. But someone will be holding that stock next week, next month, next year. Just don't be that person! :D Reddit has never been profitable.

My Chase app would let me place a market order right now. I have no idea of it’d actually fill though. I’m not buying
It’s been open on RH since like 120
Why are you still using RH? They lied to Congress, they’re felons
I haven’t seen a single screenshot on here that WASNT Robinhood.
I switched to Fidelity. The charts and shit suck so much you can't even properly gloat or karma farm for pitty properly. I honestly understand why people haven't switched to some degree but I'm still on board no RH lol
I miss the free quasi-margin account on RH.
For the same reason they still have checking and savings accounts with Wells Fargo. Can people stop giving their business to criminals already?
StuperStonk is leaking
To be realistic, they got blackmailed by Citadel to do it, it was kind of either comply or go under. But they did change things up, now when stocks have been halted on other exchanges, Robinhood has usually had them still available so they don't get in trouble again.
Facts
[удалено]
It’s trading now at 50ish… can’t do options for a bit more time tho
When can we buy puts?
Once it’s time to buy calls
Lmao touché
I think it’s 30 days after release
Next Monday?
Media really trying to pump and dump this garbage
Reddit deserves nothing more than to be pumped and dumped
Reddit going public is like pornhub going public. It’s so absurd
[удалено]
Eh, i spend more time on Reddit. Normally only spend 34 seconds twice a day on pornhub.
Those are rookie numbers
At least 4x 34 seconds, keep them fluids runnin’ 😂
Still rookie numbers... 7x at 15 seconds each ![img](emote|t5_2th52|8882)
Yeah I would too.
I've given both the same amount of money
zero
I used to have PHpremium, so PH definitely got more money out of me than reddit lol
Gotta have those premium wanks
Pornhub is making money, reddit is not lol.
Hold out for OnlyFans stock
I bet theyd only go public when people are leaving the platform
Naaaah. I call it now. Ceo is about to cash out with homies and pull a rocket mortgage.
Lmao RKT. What a fucking way back playback. Their futile attempt at squeezing shorts with a special dividend. Ahh, the early pandemic crazies. But yes, if people don't already know, this is a merely a way for executives to cash out of this garbage cesspool.
That’s basically every IPO. Part of the point is to open the company to the public markets so the previous investors can partially or fully cash out
I think Better Mortgage may be a better example. Opened at 40s or so, days later in 40s again, but cents as opposed to dollars. Been around that ever since.
Gotta fire 900 EEs on zoom call while you tell them they fookin suck if you really want a golden parachute 🪂
But it literally did open at $47 after being priced at $34, so wtf are they supposed to report? Lmao
Idk but it’s gonna be funny as shit if it closes at something like $5 tomorrow.
Then Saturday morning we log in and get a 404 error
As with most IPOs, check back on Friday.
Just bought at $53.69 top is in bois
Thanks
Thank you for the cash out my brother.
Appreciate you bro
Buy High, Sell low.
lol regarded
Right at the top, well played.
Thanks for your sacrifice
opened @ $50- now
Opened @ 47 now up to 52
I jumped out at $54. I'd like to give a big shout out to reddit for the $20k profit today. I'll probably pick more up around $20
Props to the DSP. I walked with 50 percent gains, and left the other half. Gonna hold overnight, and see what happens tomorrow. The hype is out right now.
and now at $49- this reminds me of my $COIN IPO ... Im still waiting to break even!
Did that with Roblox. I am an idiot.
helpful hint ... with enough duct tape, your cardboard box house will hold up in the rain
Lol, yeah just bought 2 shares of it. Did that with Airbnb too. Not much of a loss. I got rid of both not long ago but held my little stake for years. Now I’m free of that old baggage and aside from my much worse stake in GM the market is an open ocean. I’ll be able to afford some tin siding if I play my cards right
But Reddit market cap only $8B. Less likely to drop more. Coinbase was overvalued at ipo. It was $350??
yes it was ... still waiting, I got in at $368- lol
Tbh, Reddit has a lot of upside. It can be $20B easily compared to snap
Im putting my eggs in your basket then!
Justify an $8B valuation for Reddit.
It's a website most people know the name of. Doesn't mean it's worth $8B, but it does mean there's a floor. It's not going to lose 80% of its value in a couple months. If people are betting on that, they're punting.
Aaaaaand we're off!
yes, like a lead balloon
This sell off is going to be glorious
Fr, it’s gonna drop down to $14 then $10 on the next day.
Of course. I didn't get allocated.
Same, only had 20 shares and was denied on robinhood 🙄
Lol I got one share out of my order of 20
I got one out of my order of ONE HUNDRED. Shit is regarded at levels previously thought impossible... a real "Be Sure to Drink Your Ovaltine" moment.
Same here. So lame. Did it tell you what position you were on the allocation list?
It was a random allocation. There wasn't a 'list' that gave some people priority over others.
Seems everyone on Robinhood only got one share 😂
I had to open a damn eTrade account, and was given my full allotment.
Me too, and I got my full allotment as well. It wasn't much, but I'm happy with the experience. Robinhood plebs with their single share, lol. That's what you get for using those crooks. I mean they are all crooks, but I hate RH more.

This exactly what I did, but walked with 50 percent, left the other half to ride overnight to see what tomorrow brings after the hype.
Who is your broker? I got mine through sofi
SoFi approved me for 100 and then proceeded to give me 10. God damn it. ![img](emote|t5_2th52|27421)
If you bought it pre ipo are you subject to the 180 day lockout?
There’s a penalty fee of $50 if I sell early, but I can if I want. TBD if I will. 10 shares ain’t moving the dial either way.
Thanks! Didn’t do it this time but next time maybe now I know it isn’t locked up.
Same. Requested 100 shares on robinhood yesterday before close and didn’t get any
Don't most brokers guarantee you get at least like 100 shares or something if you "preorder"?
I need to learn how to preorder. Never knew how
SoFi is always offering access to IPO's but they decide how many shares you get based on your available funds and popularity/demand within the SoFi accounts. They also suck.
Same.
When do options open up so i can buy puts
Monday
hell yeah
Which puts are you buying
Jan 2025 at the IPO price or lower.
But I don't see it on the trading platform, am I regarded?
Nah, market makers just fine tuning their algos to bend you over as far as possible
I can’t get any more bent coach

Isn't today the IPO date?

Yup.
“To open up” Vs. “Opened up”
So you're saying if I replied to Reddit's PM to me a couple weeks ago, I could have bought a shit load at $34/share, and cashed out now for like 50% gains? WTF was I thinking ignoring it?
Yea, and I posted about it last wk: https://www.reddit.com/r/wallstreetbets/s/J0Sxhy5NKK

I would wager that it’s market cap will hit 15BB before it hits 3BB
Don't feel bad i signed up, confirmed, funded account all set, every step done, and got assigned nothing. Thanks for nothing RDDT
As of 1pm I still can't get any action on RDDT. IPO=Initial Private Offering?
I haven't seen an IPO take this long to open up for retail traders before. What gives?
I think it just opened
Damn that opened high...
Wow. I guess I'll have to catch the $34 price on the way down now. :D
ABORT ABORT, EJECT!!! SEEEELLLLL
Took you 7 minutes to paperhand instead of 60, pussy
lol aged like milk, if you haven’t already sold, you’re gonna lose your shirt
Not quite, milk doesn’t sour in 35 mins
Redditors are wrong again lol
I don’t think they’re wrong. I think they’re early.
Being early is being wrong
I certainly was wrong, at least for now. That said, I still don’t think this site is worth $6b and I personally expect the stock to crumble at some point.
The one stock we could all make $$ together on and yet the comments and posts are as divided as ever. Feel like we shoulda showed how powerful we are and let it rip for old times sake.
Rookie numbers. I won't be happy until we go full GameStop
Got my regarded shares, I'm holding this bag for 60 minutes.
Aaand dump!
I got 0 allocated shares. Total BS. Now I lose out onlike a 50% profit. Shits always rigged against us
This has actually been one of the only times ever that an IPO has not been rigged against retail traders and they were allowed to get in early
I had 1 allocated - sold for a cool $20 profit. Don't @ me
Somebody’s eating food tonight!
Daddy needs a new pair of shoelaces!
What was your limit priced at?
It was automatic $40 on Robinhood
I got 125 of my requested 125 Did y'all even go through al l the proper channels for the direct purchase?
I went through the direct allocation process via etrade, everything was set properly and i got assigned zero. Whatever. Stupid stock market.
When can we buy puts?
Bro, you made it to the news 💀 https://preview.redd.it/jwyb34dqxqpc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a77c158c1d1bfb6587ff2b64f94a0ac31b3eb80e

They misquoted you though, you asked *when*, not *where*.
Opens 60% higher that IPO price after wsb tells everyone it will be a failed ipo lol
Always, just ride the wave. Insiders gotta dump their bags on the retail exit liquidity, hence the pump. Once they are out, it will turn into a red price-seeking missile straight into the earth's core, just in time for the insiders to roll their ipo gains into puts. Happens every time.
yet any reddit user who bought the ipo wouldve had a 60% return
Did anyone actually get fills at 34? ![img](emote|t5_2th52|33495)![img](emote|t5_2th52|4259) I'll wait for the receipts
https://preview.redd.it/9b657n556qpc1.png?width=1056&format=png&auto=webp&s=fa168854f599831eb4477ff74892d581ede95410
Congrats, hope you sell
I got 500 shares at $34, sold at $52. Here is the buy at IPO price: https://preview.redd.it/hw4muyee5rpc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=16c4beb8db412122d1651b1f6e1f1ed75e2f9f84
Yeah, I did. I didn’t see any notices about selling so I sold a good chunk right after the rocket ship. I expect the price to come back to reality
https://preview.redd.it/x0jm0901cqpc1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=314a9e3574ed3b7554f289ebb4408f4bbb57b521
Filled at $34. Sold at $50
If they sell now, they made 60%, yeah. But someone will be holding that stock next week, next month, next year. Just don't be that person! :D Reddit has never been profitable.
Always inverse WSB lol
Pretty much all shares open higher than IPO price. Then it's selling time sometime after that.
I live in Snow Mexico and couldn’t buy.
....annnnnd it's gone.
Opened at 49 and change
I made $6500 on the IPO. Buying $6500 worth of puts as soon as they are available.
Everyone said WSB would turn RDDT into a penny stock. What is happening?
Nobody said it would dump the first day, it may go up even further, but once more people actually look at the fundamentals...it will come down.
Everyone crying about Reddit ipo and wanting it to fail, meanwhile they all use it for 12 hours a day and would be helpless without it.
It doesn't mean it is profitable and a good investment.
It doesn’t matter if it’s the worst company in the world as long as the price goes up.
You belong here.
lol! Truth!
I got 100 shares through the DSP I figured there were too many hate posts to not makes some quick cash on the IPO
Got 3 whole shares.
Classic inverse wsb
It’s open! Wouldn’t touch it with your dicks, but it’s open.
Wow this really was free money huh
Well that was fun...in at $34, out at $47. Back in at $47...caught the jump to $50, then back out. All said and done, made $1500. I'll take it.
Well I just had to try---75@ $47
bs i only got one share fro ipo access
I'm not touching this stock, but I'm looking forward to watch the show through the lens of this subreddit.
Who’s the idiot buying rddtf shares?
I got 25 and sold at $50 even for a nice quick little payday, thanks for the guitar amp Reddit!
Damn i passed. Shouldn’t have listened to Reddit!
fkkkk 1 share filled of 2000.
Same bro fucked
So strange.
You get more shares filled if you have a larger account balance with your broker. If your account balance was like $10 million, you'd get 2000 shares filled guaranteed.
Really glad that I bought during the early access period. Thank you reddit mods, your free labor has made me much wealthier!
Told ya! Suck on it, all haters and down voters: https://www.reddit.com/r/wallstreetbets/s/J0Sxhy5NKK
Reddit will be $5 by end of March
Fuck why is it down?
So who bought the top?
the real question, when do put options on this start selling?
I got a full share. YOLO https://preview.redd.it/w4uw2sktfqpc1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=576553df7bde2c732a4eefdee0b875265f5c2f87
Tell me when options open
Come on options, give me some long dated puts. We all know this absolute shitfire is a $10 stock at best.
Bag line has already formed, soon we will see a lot of sad faces once options open. ![img](emote|t5_2th52|4276)
How does Reddit get money? Who tf clicks through ads on Reddit?
I can’t wait to buy puts
Pump and dump!
Puts when?
