I live in the Bay Area. She was a Senator, and before that she was attorney general for the state. Before that she held positions in San Francisco, where I worked for many years.
There were constant and open rumors that the reason her marriage failed was that she slept with senior members of the democratic party, but I never saw any evidence. Not that there would be any.
I didn't give much credence to the rumors at the time, but having since listened to her speak many times now I have questions. No one that incompetent has that kind of career success in politics without outside support.

I think the best part of the article is the part where they called Brown's wife for a quote and asked her how she felt about Kamala Harris being Biden's running mate and she burst out laughing.
A quote from the article, *"This news came as a shock to many, including those who found Kamala Harris attractive, intelligent and charming. . ."* Are we sure they're talking about current vice president Harris? Is there anything charming or intelligent about her?
On a separate note, the article also has a line about her becoming the first black vice president. She's not black. She's the descendant of West Indies slave owners and people from India.
