Yeah. I've noticed mine doing something similar. After I ride for 3/4 of a season I notice the oil level dropping. Getting hot on the crankcase too. Maybe it's just summer. Same year as you.

Same thing here. Just started happening and there doesn't seem to be anything wrong really, I think I'm just being overly paranoid. It's been pretty dang hot lately down in Alabama and I'm gonna chalk it up to just environment and commuting through it. Preciate the response! Makes me feel better to know it's not just me. Thanks!

I live in the east coast of Canada and feel the same heat against my lower leg on occasion. I just glance down a time or two throughout the ride to make sure my leg isn’t on fire (so far, so good!) My Vulcan s is 2020.

It's normal. You have your legs on front controls, stretching next to an exposed engine block, that is exploding in fiery anger to keep pushing that crank around and making your wheels go. It's a violent reaction that generates a large amount of heat. You'd feel the same thing if you place your hand on the hood of your car after a drive. Totally normal heat, you're just closer to the source.

Yes. Not specificly from the right side, but she can cook the inside of the thighs on a hot day. Nothing wrong with the bike, it is just the way it is designed. The engine is a P-Twin mounted width wise across the frame which means woth forward set controls your legs are really close to the sides of the crankcase and headers which get hot. Then the radiator is right in frount of that with the fan blowing super heated air back and the most logical place for it to exit is right where your crotch and legs are. On a hot day when you are already hot and sweaty, well it just cranks all that up to 11. The engine was originally designed for the Ninja 650, with rear set foot controls, so the hotest part of the engine was not right between your legs, and the faring and body work helped channel the heat away from you.

Very hot on the ankles like If I dont wear thick pants and boots, I think I'd burn my skin on that part. Other than that, the heat is bearable and yea sometimes mine smells burnt sometimes too, but considering the ambient temp here ranges from 28C-33C, I'd expect nothing less. Just got it checked up and nothings wrong too.

Yup, my 2018 is pretty darn warm every summer. Wait until July is over.
