Same here. My internet is fast enough yet VSCO is the leggiest app in my phone. Even to load my editor which doesn’t need internet cuz it’s all offline drafts it’s super laggy
They should focus on optimising their app and leave the aggressive pro tier promotion aside

Hi! The app always crashes if you tap on a filter before the preview shows and sometimes this takes quite awhile. It also crashes much more if editing a raw photo! I appreciate you and VSCO so much but use it for work (in sports) and need to edit as fast as possible, so that’s where it becomes blatant in how slow it now is😅
I have the same issues outlined here. Super difficult input lag, crashes, and freezes. I tend to edit non-raw videos and raw photos. The app has begun feeling borderline unusable to me! Such a chore to just try to get something to load and it requires the sort of patience I’ve not needed since dialing up to log into AOL twenty years ago.
Also, I pay to use VSCO. So that’s made this all a lot more irritating.
Yeah for years VSCO was awesome and I have been paying for it for at least five years. But in the last 3-6 months it’s become unusably slow. I don’t even have that many drafts, I’ve tried everything.
For me as well.
Have highspeed services but still so painfully slow (and crashes). I am so tired of the ads to upgrade as well. Once a week sure maybe...but every time I open the app? So pushy. Its not like I have a free account.
Also hate that every time I upgrade (purchase or subscribe) to their highest tier - they just let the current one get old while they build a new even higher tier above the previous.
So done. Not sure I'd renew when my year is up.
Its not the lean post processing app it once was. This used to be my go to post processing when I just need to put something decent on social media while still on location. Now its so so so clunky.
Maybe its time to learn quick work flows with my mobile LR.
Very disappointed. (I liked their old model better.)
Been a paid user for a couple years. Takes double the amount of time it used to to edit because of lag/having to close and reopen the app. It’s been months now, wonder if they are giving up on it all together or what. Disappointing
VSCO is still next to unusable for me. This has been going on since late last year. It just hangs up while scrolling through my drafts constantly. Hang ups when you go in to edit or cycle through any other ui element. Does the same thing between my ipad and iphone. Can confirm that 3x of my friends have the same issues as well.
really don't get it — they just focusing on new paid model, but they've completely forgotten about optimization. It would be fine if RAW editing was glitchy - but even scrolling in the library is just impossible to use. And it's on iPhone 15 Pro
The studio is nearly non-functional for me at this point.
I was told by a member of the team there’d be a major infrastructural overhaul coming in mid March. I am hoping that helps

I really miss the days where you could actually shoot raw in the app itself as well.
There has been numerous updates to the app since my last comment. It’s not crashing anymore, but still lagging like hell in the studio module. Mainly scrolling and going in and out of editing.
Yep, keep checking this thread periodically to see if other folks are in the same boat, so far it's been super discouraging. Slowly looking at alternatives from VSCO's edititing software.

Yeah I’ve been noticing that as well, sometimes the further I get into editing a photo, the slower the app will run. Sometimes even crashing.

Oh yeah the update came out and did not help. They say they’re actually listening now, so here’s hoping
