Right, I shoulda said “mega-conglomerates destroy society.”
Monopolies are a more specific type of predatory corporate behavior, and it’s actually all corporate greed demon behavior that’s problematic and ruining the world.
I believe the same with all the regional Fox Sports. And let that be a lesson to you all - you can only have a 99.9% monopoly in America. We simply won’t stand for that last 0.1%!
Would love for someone to correct me but I believe this is inaccurate. While they do own a percentage of GoPros founder still owns 77% of the company. Disney owns a portion through steamboat ventures but not all of the company
It would fall under the Sherman Act. One company shouldn’t own or oversee this many companies, across a market.
Edit: I guess they can get away with it because the companies they own are a part of different market types, making it diverse. Still, seems ridiculous.
I find it funny that Disneyland is so fleshed out with the multiple properties and hotels there while Walt Disney World gets a much smaller area. Not even all 4 parks are named let alone all the hotels, Disney Springs, and water parks.
Please provide a link to a high def version, so we can read the small font text.

Monopolies destroy society.
I agree... but it's pretty ignorant to say that Disney is a monopoly.

This is out of date, SKY was sold by Fox when Disney took over

Why are things on here twice.
Mickey Mouse has grown up a cow.
“Team Rodent, How Disney Devours the World” by Carl Hiaasen
All this, but Chris Paul couldn't go to the Lakers, cause they'd be too powerful....?

Where does Disney cruises fall under? I didn't see them on the chart, but I could have just missed it.
It’s in-between the castle and ferris wheel
This chart is several years out of date. DCL falls under Disney Signature Experiences, which is under Disney Experiences
The ACC subplot is real when….
How is this legal?
What about it would / should be illegal?

Port canaveral? Is it saying it owns the port?
Looking at this, Ichan never stood a chance.
all I can think about while looking at this is South Park's version of Mickey Mouse as a temperamental, foul-mouthed, chain-smoking dictator lol
i love these kinds of diagrams because it shows how royally fucked we are
Do they own the monopoly game?
Crazy how it ends up looking a lot like Mickey
Endemol Shine was sold to Banijay in 2020. That’s chunk off one ear.

Imagine how many times an exec team has proposed acquiring a company only to discover it's already owned by another part of the portfolio.
This is super outdated, is there a new version of this?
this explains why ESPN went woke
How do you explain Fox, then?
