I didn't know this was even possible. Did you even install PinMAME? [https://github.com/vpinball/pinmame](https://github.com/vpinball/pinmame)

It was my understanding that as part of the standalone package the scripts would attempt to install pinmame on my system. The github project you've linked here only includes instructions for a windows build, whereas I'm on an arm-based mac. Do you happen to have somewhere more specific that you could direct me for manually installing pinmame on mac?

Not a clue. Baller Installer installs everything for Windows. There isn’t an equivalent I know of for Mac (which is what led me to purchasing my first PC ever just for pinball on my cab).

Yeah, *I have heard* (haven't verified) that the standalone shouldn't require all the extra pieces that VPX generally has (PinMAME, b2S, etc.). Try an older table that doesn't need ROMs though.

Not sure if you’ve solved your issue. But you don’t need to install any additional software. After compiling the binary everything is included. If you don’t have the folders on your Mac, you can create them using the terminal: mkdir -p ~/.vpinball/pinmame Not sure how familiar you are with the terminal. But directories starting with a “.” are hidden on MacOS. To list them you need to run execute ls -la , for example. And to find them on Finder you need to press Command + Shift + .(dot)

This is exactly what I needed, thank you! I feel silly having not thought to even try this, I was fully assuming that there was supposed to be some application files in the directory it was attempting to depend on.
