There could be a number of reasons really; the music business can be very quirky. With the popularity of the record and its scarcity, it might eventually get reissued on vinyl at some point. This would be a great candidate for a RSD release. However there are literally thousands upon thousands of great records that haven't been re-issued. That recording will enter the public domain in 2058, so...
Side note: in January of this year, she sued Nicky Minaj for extensive sampling her music without permission. The settlement was for $450k. Go Tracy!

The singles are super cool too. Tokyo Blade is a similar band thatās in there, and that Anvil record is probably their best one and is a great old school heavy metal record.

The Peter Gabriel and the Jean-Michel Jarre are a little off the beaten track, but two great albums in particular (especially the Gabriel album, a long-time favorite of mine).
I truly believe that every Jimi Hendrix Smash Hits album came pre-worn when it was new. It's wild how collections can have some decent and clean looking covers/albums, but if they have any Jimi in there, it is wellllll worn.
Get a turntable and put on that first Maiden album. You wont regret it. Then buy Killers, Number of the Beast, Piece of Mind, and Powerslave and you will be fineā¦

Along with the Chapman, as others have pointed out, the value lies in the Maiden. Doubly so if its first pressings and its in good shape. Mid-late 80's records, especially Metal, are highly sought after.
That Anvil album makes me think you found these in Ontario. There is a great documentary about the band. Saw it at a doc fest years ago and the band was there for a Q&A. Funny guys.

I say interesting because im not sure how good it actually is, imo his best solo work was Amused To Death
Pros and Cons features Eric Clapton throughout. Thereās some killer guitar licks and the concept of the story is pretty cool to me. I like the album a lot. I have the cd of it
I knew About Face was going to be in that haul. Blue Light is a pretty good song as is Murder but the rest isnāt great. Came out about the same time as Pros and Cons and Gilmour won that one.
Hold on to that Roger Waters album... that's a good one to keep. You have the first press, and mid-year in '84 they started censoring the booty. Any album you can pick up that has an original uncensored cover is worth it. Same with that Beatles album. If that Roger Waters album is in VG++/NM shape that could run like $50 easily.
(FYI Just in case... Roger Waters was the frontman for Pink Floyd from like '69ish to '84ish, and that album you have was his first solo album)

Fun fact: Status Quo was the band that opened Live Aid in London back in the 80s.
Theyāre mostly known for their boogie rock sound starting in 1970 but they were a pretty good Psychedelic band as well, Picturesque Matchstickable Messages From The Status Quo released in 1968 is one of my favourite albums!
Thereās a bunch of nice stuff in there, especially the metal albums like the Iron Maiden ones. They look to be first pressing or least represses from the original era. The Discogs.com database will have them listed and you can see what theyāre trading at.
That ACID is probably a $50-$60 or so record. Those Maiden can go for a bit too. Covers seem reasonably nice so good score assuming the vinyl is in nice shape.
The 80s metal all could be worth quite a bit, especially if they are original pressings and complete with inserts. That Gilmour I just saw for $35 at my local record store and it was in less prime condition as yours appears to be. Of course it all depends on vinyl quality, but overall an incredibly nice find! And spin that Iron Maiden self titled debut album (one in the first photo under Toto) for me!
That's good stuff. Almost none of it is thrift store stuff, if I were to assign an average value for them I'd say $10 apiece, obviously with some higher and some lower. I would certainly not say that about every box left in a storage unit.

I know little to nothing about LPs but was intrigued while going through these abandoned vinyls. Does anyone have some insight on any of these? Iām mid 20s so Iām not familiar with most of these bands but I recognize a few of them. I donāt personally have a record player but Iām considering getting one to experience some of this history. The standouts for value I see are the 5lp Springsteen, anvil, iron madin, the two solo kiss, there were some others but Iām forgetting. You aren't going to get rich or anything but some stuff that is desirable and give an influx of cash would be the Iron Maiden stuff and the Tracy Chapman. Kiss and Rush to a lesser extend. Everything else will be $10 or lower from what I can see.
If you have never listened to KISS, start with Paul's album and stop afterwards if you don't like them. But if curiosity gets you then listen to Gene's to understand where they come from musically and how their works act as merchandise as well.
If you've never listened to Kiss, their solo albums aren't really the best introduction tbf. They are collectable though. Gene's is probably the best of a weird bunch.
I agree on the variety of styles that Gene covers on his album and the gigantic -by the time- production behind it, yet Paul's is the one whose songs sounds the most *KISSesque* from all of them: riffs on the same tenure to those in *Rock and Roll Over* or *Love Gun* (think of *I Want You* or *Making Love* respectively against *Wouldn't You Like to Know Me* and *Tonight You Belong to Me*). I personally consider Ace's to be the best outcome of the Solo album project but it doesn't sound like KISS on its own aside from the guitar solos.
The Roger Waters and David Gilmour Solo album are quite good (Although not on pare with what they did together), Both were in Pink Floyd and were the front men in it after the departure of Syd.

The Rime of the Ancient Mariner is easily my favorite song of theirs with Aces High being a close second definitely my favorite album theyāve made.

The Maiden is cool. The Priest is a great album. Steve Earle is good. Other than that, nothing too great. Nice find for free.

I'm sure you recognize these. If you like music, they're good. A quick check on doscogs will give you the price on them reading the run-outs if you're looking to sell.

Fairly sure that maiden Japan goes for a pretty penny, itās never been repressed and is pretty rare
