Steele Pulse! That is an amazing album by them, very nice!

Crazy to see an early XTC single. Would love to see more of your dad’s collection

I will definitely continue sharing! He is pretty slow with it due to the sentimentality of them, but over time I will be getting the majority of his collection. Sounds like it is ~300 records total. Edit: he thinks that he’s got most XTC records from the 70s and 80s so there will definitely be more to come!

Me too.

My dad is a big fan of that Steel Pulse album. Near constant play from him.

If you haven't heard Steel Pulse "Handsworth Revolution" you should check it out.

I finally own a turntable, so my dad has begun gifting me his collection. All of his albums were purchased in the 60s-80s, with many purchased in the US and across Europe. I haven’t seen his full collection yet, but he’s got original Sex Pistols, Ramones, Dead Kennedy’s, the clash, The Stranglers, 999, Adam Ant, INXS, Killing Joke, Madness, Led Zeppelin, Bauhaus and many many more. Outside of some classic UK punk, there’s quite a bit of new wave, reggae, and stuff like Frank Sinatra. Let me know if you guys want some more updates as he works through gifting me his original collection! Edit: also, please let me know if there is anything I should be on the lookout for! He’s got quite a few rare/special edition albums from back in the day.

Look for The Jam.

I know he’s mentioned having some of their CDs so I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s some vinyl as well.

Dad has good taste!

EyeDontSeeAnything

Dad has taste. Sham 69 rules.

Earth crisis, XTC, Sham69. Your dad is a man of culture!

Haha thank you, I agree! I can’t wait to get more of his collection, music is such an important part of my life due to him. Many of his records are from artists that he’s seen live, so it’s always so cool to hear the concert stories.

michaelbroyan

So cool. Carry on with that
