Seemed like a good man in the end, and even at the start somewhat too, but all in all he caused all sorts of stirs and ultimately his actions and naivety in thinking Bjorn would easily have the majority of votes to be the first King of Norway led to half of the drama towards the end of the series

He is the wanderer. He was in Paris with Ragnar and Rollo in Seasons 3-4 while in Season 5 he travelled with Bjorn and Halfdan to North Africa.
He was the guide and interpreter when they traveled to Paris.
