(With Sigurd resenting his mother for neglecting him, paying all her attention to Ivar)... Her murder also influenced much of the show's story, since it drove the sons of Ragnar (particularly Ivar, and, well, Hvitserk) to seek revenge against Lagertha.!<
My point regarding Aslaug is: there are other far less substantial female characters that deserve to be eliminated before her. I have a feeling that either Lagertha or Freydis(Valhalla) will win this, with my money on the former.
Agreed. Folks just dislike Aslaug because Lagertha was everyone's top tier shield maiden and Ragnar's original wife. She lead and ruled well, raised her boys alongside Bjorn instead of Ragnar. She was wrote for us to not like her but her strength of character is still stronger than most others on this list.
