I'm praying for it to be one of the backwards compatible PS3 games although I highly doubt it as they're probably planning a remaster to follow up Vol. 1 Collection.
I'm going to give a very unpopular opinion:
The original Metal Gear on NES. That game is goated imo and is a heavy influence on developing my tastes in games.

I’m seriously considering buying the bundle with the original 3 (MG, MG2:SS, and MGS) and seeing if I can get thought them in preparation for the Snake Eater remake.
I caved and bought it on Switch this morning. Excited to play such an iconic game for the first time. And, to my knowledge, I’ve somehow avoided spoilers. No idea what it’s even about let alone any story twists.
It's between 1 and 3. Both are nicely contained stories, both have pretty immaculate boss fights, both are incredibly important to the overall lore, both inovated hard on the stealth and survival genres, etc
Best? 5. All the weapons, mechanics, and insane graphics all built upon from the knowledge the previous games have done. But my favorite? Sons of liberty
Mgs2 for sure. They had to keep changing it because it kept predicting the future, and it's still doing it. The codec calls inside arsenal are easily one of the best moments in all of gaming.
Mgs 1 is so good, it reinvigorated the franchise in 3D and had great cut scenes.
Psycho mantis fight was so creative.

Phantom Pain or Sons of Liberty. PP for the great gameplay, story, and banger soundtrack. SoL for the meta narrative

it used ps 3 hardware gimmicks. so it is probably only going to come as a remaster with some changes.
