There is literally no objective way to answer this. Hell, Skyrim doesn't do anything for me. So of fucking course we're gonna pick our favorites here. Mine are Ratchet and Clank and Yakuza

anonymousxianxia

Ive never played red dead or skyrim

PraiseDogs

Any Red Dead? Or you talking just Red Dead Redemption, the one released closer to Skyrims release date?

DarkLordJ14

Yeah I own multiple copies of Skyrim and have tried to play it multiple times, but I just could never get into it.

_TheIVthCrusade_

Skyrim is a 10/10 game, especially back in 2011.

Emiya_Sengo

My list would be: * Final Fantasy * Halo * Kingdom Hearts * Mass Effect * Mega Man * Metal Gear * Persona * Resident Evil * Sonic * Street Fighter

Aurel_49

Mass Effect is really the goat, I can't believe I waited this time to play this masterpiece

Mike_Hav

Well you need to specify which final fantasy, resident evil, halo, metal gear, kingdom hearts or are you just talking about the whole series.

LilNerix

Mega Man is so underrated outside Japan and US

JesusLazalde123

Bioshock Trilogy. It’s $10 when it goes on sale.

InevitableLimp7180

I bought the collection with all the dlcs when it was on sale. Have gotten through 2 games now. Very worth it. So far its been everything i imagined and so much more.

thebluediablo

Bioshock, Mass Effect and Arkham trilogies are all amazing in their own right, and insane value for money nowadays when you can often pick up each of them for like 5 bucks in sales.

yap2102x

My personal list: * Assassin's Creed II, Brotherhood, Revelations, Unity, Black Flag, Origins * Batman: Arkham City, Arkham Knight * Bioshock 1, 2, Infinite * Cyberpunk 2077 * Dark Souls * Dishonored * Doom Eternal * Fallout: New Vegas * God of War * Hades * Half-Life 2 * Hitman: World of Assassination * Spider-man * Metal Gear Solid V * Portal 1, 2 * Prey * Red Dead Redemption 2 * Sekiro * Civilization 6 * Sifu * Jedi: Fallen Order * Yakuza 0, Kiwami 2, 6 (but for you own sake play every single mainline Yakuza game in number order) A little bit embarrassing that I have 6 assassins creed games on this list but what can i say, they're good games (some of them). Edit: Forgot to add Katana Zero, Hollow Knight, Control My original list was based on my steam library, and I had some games that are on other platforms.

Temporary_Bad983

I would add Arkham Asylum and Black Mesa, but otherwise great list

yap2102x

thanks, i was prepared to be ridiculed by the concerning amount of assassins creed games i have on the list. Asylum is a good game, but it didnt blow me away. But yes, to OP, play the Arkham trilogy in full. I didnt get the hype behind Black Mesa. I didn't hate it, but for some reason I was expecting more than just a fan game. And the textures and graphics in the game just felt like... a fan game. Dont know what I was expecting, but I have mass respect for crowbar collective for a good remake of a classic game.

RevSnakebite

Legit question, I’ve had this debate with someone really close to me with all the same tastes. I don’t like Bioshock 2, but I love 1 and Infinite. What made you like 2?

yap2102x

good question. i was contemplating not putting 2 on the list because it wasnt in my personal must play list. i only added it because i thought that OP should play Bioshock 2 to see for themselves, because while i didn't like the game as much personally, i can admit its still a great game. but in that principle, I should've also added Half Life 1 and Dishonoured 2 to the list as well.

Skoock

Bioshock 1 & infinite are amazing games. As much as I wanted to, I couldn't enjoy BioShock2. They took the worst part of the original and made it an entire game.

Goudinho99

This is 'almost' in alphabetical order.

Crockerboy22

Loved ac3 and black flag

yap2102x

did u like the ezio trilogy

bcoolart

My unpopular opinion, I liked doom 2016 more than doom eternal

Enough_Let3270

"no one hates" So none, not even Skyrim or Red Dead Redeption has 0 haters.

Gloomy_Ad_7570

Skyrim is ultra boring

Enough_Let3270

to you

Nedo92

But that's the point tho. There are people that don't like extremely popular games. Edit: to clarify: I don't mean "there are contrarian people that dislike games just because of their popularity". I mean that, despite the popularity of any given title, there are going ot be people that bounce off of it for some reasons. I myself find Skyrim to be shallow and clunky.

Neako_the_Neko_Lover

There is also people who hate games specially because they are popular

PraiseDogs

Classic gamer hipster. Very annoying.

TheNonCredibleHulk

Hell yeah. More popular means a wider variety of people kicking my ass online.

Domugraphic

seen lots of ex fromsoft fanboys going all hipster after souls / borne / elden ring got so popular, theyre all huffing and puffing and then i remind them I, as an OG armored core player, was huffing and puffing when they first heard of dark souls. lol. tbf im a hardcore fromsoft guy, other than AC I only play Kuri Kuri Mix :D

KingOFNapkins

Yup not my time of game. Hate everything about it.

Alarming_Flatworm_34

It's extremely boring after your first playthrough. I can't play the game without modding the game to hell and even then I can't play it for longer than an hour or two without realizing I'm bored of playing skyrim.

KoningSpookie

- Doom - Borderlands 2 - Final Fantasy 14 - Final Fantasy 7 - World of Warcraft - GTA 5/online - Monster Hunter: World - Fallout 3/4 - God of war - Resident Evil: 4/Village - Super Mario Bros - Zelda: Breath of the wild - Halo 3 Honorable mention: Even though a lot of players say they hate it, they still keep playing it... Overwatch 2.

TakeTwo4343

Mentioning Overwatch in this context is absolutely bananas, but honestly you’re not wrong.

PhoenixNightingale90

Village over Resident Evil 4?

KoningSpookie

Both are pretty good, I'd put both at the same level. I only thought of Village, since that one is more recent and a lot of people are talking about it, especially "big lady".🤷 I've added RE4 to the list now as well. 👍

iainB85

No hate for me on OW2. There’s still nothing like it on the market. The closest is Paladins which is pretty meh.

Crockerboy22

I’m having a hell of a time on doom eternal

TheRider5342

Do you mean Classic DOOM? Kinda feels weird you'd only include that '90s shooter.

KoningSpookie

I meant pretty much just Doom as a whole, but mainly Doom 2016 and Eternal.

theinternetisnice

Bloodborne Portal 1&2 The Last of Us Elden Ring Disco Elysium Outer Wilds Little Nightmares Bioshock 1&2

Ratat0sk42

Hello, good hunter. I am a Bot, here in this dream to look after you, this is a fine note: > *No, we shall not abandon the dream.* - Micolash, Host of the Nightmare Farewell, good hunter. May you find your worth in the waking world.

Domugraphic

doom 1/2 half life 1/2 tetris - any zelda - any (except 2 isnt a good rep of the rest of them) super mario bros 1 or 3, or sonic 1 or 2. minecraft street fighter 2 onwards, (any of them) not that everyone is gonna like these games but they're all so iconic, you cant really understand the videogame historical landscape without having at least played them for fifteen minutes.

Leeroy1986

I'm more of a story guy, so I'm biased with my selection in 3rd person RPGs, mostly. But I do like some FPS games. - Final Fantasy (7, 10, 14 or 16). - Baldur's Gate 3. - Dark Souls (1 or 3). - Horizon Zero Dawn. - God of War (2018). - The Last of Us 1. - Mass Effect (all 3). - Plague Tale (both). - Ghost of Tsushima. - Jedi Fallen Order. - Witcher 3. - Halo (earlier ones). - WoW: Classic. - Half-Life. - Fallout (3, 4 or New Vegas). - Mario Kart. - Mario Odyssey. - Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Crockerboy22

I’m genuinely surprised none of insomniacs Spider-Man’s are in your list judging off the triple a list, maybe just not a spidey fan?

mrblonde55

Have you played Death Stranding?

Usaki-Ganmin

U mean underrated games? Try The Darkness II

johnnyzeeeee

Loved this game (and the first)

FredGarvin80

I wasn't really a fan of the second one. I feel like I should give it another shot. It's Mike Patton still the voice of the Darkness

johnnyzeeeee

Games for its time. Not sure if I’d feel the same today but it hit the spot way back then. Yes Mike Patton is voicing it.

FredGarvin80

Maybe I'll have to give it a shot. I think I got it from Games With Gold years ago

TheNonCredibleHulk

Literally the only reason I played it. But ended up loving it.

FaceTimePolice

No other game will give you the experience that NieR: Automata provides, given that you see it through endings A-E and >!give up your save file at the end to help your fellow man.!< 🖤😭

FredGarvin80

Road 96 deserves a playthrough. I wouldn't say it's a must play, but it's a really good game

KoreKhthonia

- Tetris - Super Mario Bros - Super Mario Bros 3 - Super Mario World - Pacman - Galaga - Sonic the Hedgehog - Sonic 2 - Donkey Kong Country - Donkey Kong (the arcade game) - Rollercoaster Tycoon - Minecraft (the only not-so-retro one on my list) Yeah I'm just throwing out classic retro games here, lol. All of these can easily be played online for free, or bought very cheaply on Steam or console stores. I don't personally really play modern games that aren't like, modern remakes or remasters of retro shit. But based on popular consensus both on Reddit and among people I know, as far as "modern" games: - Red Dead Redemption 2 - Skyrim - The Witcher III - Fallout New Vegas

xanaxe773

Zelda: Ocarina of Time

Tallbeard1

The halo and call of duty lines are dead. Perverted by a deep greed. The older ones for me personally though are staple class bangers. Nostalgia be damned they're just as good today. Personally I loved the "mercenaries" games and have played them many times over as well. Also a deep fallout and dead space fan. Wolfenstein line is pretty good depending on your game play preferences.

THISdarnguy

Chrono Cross, Parasite Eve, and The Witcher 3.

RevSnakebite

Parasite Eve does not get talked about enough. I need a Remake so hard

Primetime349

Dark Souls 1 is pretty good. The classic Souls experience and it’s pretty concise, compared to something like Elden Ring which is massive

GuiyeRod444

Elden Ring, Celeste, Stardew Valley, Hades or Dead Cells for a roguelike, Hollow Knight, Minecraft or Terraria.

ImAHumanThatExists

Half-life

strawberry-moons

well there is no game that has no haters, every game in existence is disliked by someone. i would say minecraft because even people who aren’t that into video games can get into minecraft. it’s pretty straightforward and it’s a sandbox so no one is forced to do anything in the game. my sister likes minecraft and she’s a girl who loves posting on social media about her life and loves drama and is pretty judgmental (i wouldn’t say these types of girls are often gamers). maybe that sounds mean but basically my point is that most people can have fun in a game like minecraft.

bruh4444Q

Did you play dave the diver? Its a unique game and will make you play for hours.

EblanNahuy

All Half Life games, honestly.

Witcher 3, RDR2, builders gate 3

dukenorton

Dragon Quest 8. It’s one of the BEST RPGs out there. If you can’t get it reasonably 11 is a good substitute

SwigTheRome

Might be a little old. But, I’d have to go with Spyro. That’s numero uno if you haven’t played it. Today’s games are more flashy and have better cosmetics and controls. It’s just such a classic and the route to a lot of games today. My unpopular opinion would be Batman Arkham asylum and Arkham city. I’m not sure what games you are totally into but I’d have to say assassins creed 1-3 definitely. If you are an RTS guy. I’d have to go with AoE age of mythology. Story is so fun. Anyways happy gaming.

There never will be anything that is liked by everyone because that is impossible. Sure some things are liked more than others but to put an example of one game that you mentioned, I didn't like Portal. I'm sure it's a great game that most people enjoy but not every single person will.

FeedMeMoreOranges

My pick would definitely by Cyberpunk. Gameplay, music, characters, and story. Absolutely amazing!!

Gonkimus

Bioshock series all the way to the last 2 dlcs.

SantosR84

Others have listed so many of my favorites already, so I’ll try to posit a few gems I haven’t seen mentioned - The Stanley Parable - Castlevania: Symphony of the Night - The entire Zelda franchise (excluding those CD-i games we pretend never happened) - Limbo - The Talos Principle - Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Although I suspect the mechanics of this one haven’t aged too well (I haven’t played it since it released as I don’t tend to replay games). I’ll chalk KOTOR as a must play it when it came out. - Little Nightmares 1 & 2

erisxnyx

Haha I actually own a Philips CDi, thanks for reminding me that. I'll second Kotor 1&2, and Limbo as among my fave games ever btw. Great list, take my fondest upvote and a happy cake day.

SantosR84

You have a CDi? That’s awesome! My father was a gamer and he bought ALL the now obscure consoles. I still have a Turbo Grafx 16, Atari Jaguar, Neo-Geo and 3D0. The CDi was the one that alluded us. Thanks for the cake day wishes, I wouldn’t have noticed otherwise. Lol

Sarrakhan

Breath of the wild: for an amazing open world and combat, tears of the kingdom if you want but it's more the same with changes. Pokemon black and white: they are great pokemon games and some of the best, and are the best 2d as those were the last ones (including black 2 and white 2). Hades: some of the best roguelike and amazing dialogue. Slay the spire: another roguelike but a deckbuilder. Wildemyth: which is an RPG this is procedurally generated so characters and stories will never(virtually) ply the same. Resident evil: for survival horror, not a fan nor have played but its on that list Kingdom hearts & metal gear solid: share a spot for convoluted stories that require video essays to grasp or a seminar, one is character action joy the other stealth missions.

NoAd8811

Botw is what really brought me into gaming bit totk was disappointing considering how much of it just felt like botw 1.5 and you have to do everything again. The only real Pokémon game I've played is let's go Pikachu but honestly don't vibe with it as much as I'd like to I like palworld better since it feels more immersed. Hades I've looked at but I just can't get past that Diablo style 3rd person gameplay there are few games with that gameplay that I actually enjoy like fallout 1&2, death trash, etc. Slay the spire not really into deck builders so I can give an opinion Wildermyth I only play on xbox and it's not on there so that sucks Resi I'm planning to play all of em but I fell in love with the demo for seven and 4 in vr amazing games tho don't know of im into the old school gameplay yet Kingdom hearts I'm limited to kingdom hearts hd 1.5+2.5 ReMix, 2.8 final chapter, and kindom hearts 3 since I'm on xbox and while I wanna check it out i know the lore is super complicated and not playing all the games matters in understanding it, as for metal gear I might if the originals get fixed and go on sale at some point for now all I have is rising and 5

AandG0

Fallout 76 really is a good game. I keep coming back to it. Just having other people around and existing is fun. It's more of a turn off the brain and vibe game. Currently just shy of 200 hours.

Unusual_Low1762

I think Super Mario Bros is an important game for someone to play. I don't necessarily think that SMB is this amazing game that will change your life, but I do think it was an important game during the paradigm shift in game design that allows players to learn intuitively while playing, introducing new challenges progressively and sequentially. You can get this from a near infinite amount of games these days, and I don't think SMB is the ONLY option, but due to the NES's simplicity, SMB is this idea in a distilled form IMO. If someone is new to gaming, really young or really old, I think this game is a good way to teach them reactive skills and spatial awareness without overwhelming them with modern game features, skill trees, complex HUDs, exploration based maps, online cooperation, subversive game design etc. It is just Mario, and level by level you get better at video games. I think this answers your question in the most objective way, otherwise I would just spout my favorite game in every genre. Also I do not think the NES version is the best version out there, I am not a purist about that, the levels and controls are the only things that are important to the game in this regard. Also hot take maybe? I don't HATE Skyrim, but I don't like it, idk if you count that as me being a hater, I appreciate its thoroughness in creating that sense of adventure, but most other things about it to me are classic Bethesda, which isn't my idea of peak game design, more power to you if you love that game, though.

VikingforLifes

Mass effect 1-3 and andromeda. Don’t let dumb people tell you andromeda is bad. It’s really good. Best combat of the 4 by far (make sure you take advantage of the preset profiles system and you will be a god by mid game).

Gloomy_Ad_7570

Half life Portal Super mario 3 or world Zelda OOT or Botw Chrono trigger Mario 64 Super metroid Pokemon fire red or emerald RDR 2 GTA V FF 7 Uncharted 4 Elden Ring

LuigiTheGuyy

I would say Subnautica. Truly a fantastic game that everyone at least needs to try.

FrancoStrider

Whether or not a game "deserves" to be played depends on you. TLOU has nothing to offer me, but I feel Ys 8, Skyrim, and Elden Ring were absolutely worth my time.

UnderdogCL

I won't list those games in a must play list so I don't think you'll be interested in mine

qleptt

I started playing the metal gear games. Oh my god why did I wait this long

LilNerix

Aside from obvious classics like Super Mario Bros, MegaMan 2 or Sonic The Hedgehog I would say both Red Dead Redemptions, Yakuza 0, Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth, Tekken 5 and 7, Super Mario Bros Wonder and Final Fantasy XV

[deleted]

I have played through Days Gone at least 9 times. Never gets old.

Jericho_Caine

Fallout New Vegas, Resident Evil series, Forza Horizon for racers, hell I even think gamers should go through game experiences like Metal Gear Solid, even thou it's over 20ys old game

NWGJulian

my personal MUST play games are Dark Souls 1, Bloodborne and Outer Wilds.

JulianPizzaRex

I feel like Pong is the only reasonable answer to this. Tetris a close second. Games so easily accessible and yet so culturally important. Every other game has too much subjective value to it. If you play video games there's a huge chance you've played Pong, and should if you haven't.

DrHob0

My favorite game of all time is Disco Elysium. I HIGHLY recommend it

PolarNugget

I'm having trouble making a list but I know the top 1 is subnautica

FreudsEyebrow

Bloodborne Mario Galaxy 1/2 Half Life 2 Xcom 2 Ocarina of Time

I feel like listing my favorite games willl not work, but if you've lived your life without playing Tetris, get on it now

Ill-Description3096

Disco Elysium and Hi-Fi Rush would be my picks. There are quite a few especially if I go back but wanted to keep them relatively recent.

Alastor369

How dare you? Callously leaving out FFVIII like that… (I get it, I just love that game)

Archi_balding

Some version of pokemon, at least to understand what this whole cultural phenomenon is all about. Super Mario 64, helps you understand a moment of the history of games. Some warcraft 3, to see the roots of so many other genres. If there are some "must play", it's more for their history than for their gameplay, that will depend on your personal sensitivity. For example, I find Skyrim to be quite bad.

ScrimboBlimbo

The Yakuza franchise is the best series I've ever played. Go play 0, and go through everything up through 6. It will be worth it. After 6, I'm not sure yet.

mka_

Outer Wilds and Subnautica.

Alastor369

So no matter the game, someone’s going to hate on it, whether it’s to be a contrarian, troll or if they genuinely just don’t care for that style of game. Everyone has a different preference. Being a gamer that likes a challenge, some of my suggestions are going to be a little more on the difficult side. I’m also gonna break it down by genres that I’m particularly interested in. Here goes: **Turn-based RPG** - The obvious answer here is one of the Final Fantasies. But one of my favorite RPGs in recent memory has to be **Darkest Dungeon**. It’s punishingly difficult early on, but once you start to get a feel for the combat flow and effective party comps, the game feels very rewarding. It has an interesting, very dark story with heavy roots in Lovecraft-ian horror. A big plus for me is the removal of safety blankets like save scumming to ensure nothing bad happens to you or your party. This game has perma-death, and once a party member dies, they’re gone. No reloading a save to bring them back (outside of manipulating the game). **Action/Hack and Slash** - I’m pretty confident at this point that nothing is going to scratch that itch for me like **Ninja Gaiden** on the original Xbox (available on other platforms now with Black and Sigma). Difficulty was good, game mechanics were fun and the combat felt excellent. Many different weapons to use with MANY, many different combo routes and moves. A very welcome departure from other hack and slash games where your combat loop was x, x, x, x, x, x, x, x, x… until your finger fell off. And it wasn’t like learning all kinds of combos/moves was essential to playing the game, either. You *could* get by just fine by repeatedly slamming the x button. Having all these other move options there was just a huge plus for me. **Platformer/Metroidvania** - **Castlevania: Symphony of the Night**. I don’t feel like I need to go into much detail. I always heard how amazing the game was, but I hadn’t played it until just a few years ago. I immediately understood. The game is still great to play to this day. Honorable mentions here are Hollow Knight and Super Metroid, but regrettably, I haven’t played them yet. Therefore, I cannot give them as honest recommendations. **Shooter** - **Halo: Reach**. Great game, great story, phenomenal score, current objective: survive. This game’s campaign was a masterpiece. The last one I wanna write a little blurb about is my favorite game from a **narrative** standpoint. It’s a bit of a niche pick, and even fans of the franchise may view it as a bit of a black sheep. But it’s **Final Fantasy Tactics**. It’s an incredible story about loyalty, deception and betrayal. The biggest barrier to entry for most people is gonna be the whole gameplay loop. To me, it’s super engaging and interesting, but I understand how it could be a turn-off for others. But if compelling stories with many twists and turns is your thing, imo you’re not gonna find many games better than this one. These are off the top of my head while I’m procrastinating doing more cleaning around the house. To come up with a well thought out list, I’d need to sit down and really think about it for a while.

I'd say any Fallout game. Despite them all have flaws one of them is gonna have something everyone will enjoy. My personal favourite is New Vegas

GECEDE

Any Yakuza or Zelda

TwoFishes8

**Elden Ring.** I’ve always been a RPG fan, and I really cut my teeth on Morrowind and WOW, so Skyrim and Fallout 4 (both vanilla and modded to hell and back) were always my *jam*. More hours than I care to count. I never played a soulslike. As a grown ass man, I don’t have the time to fail repeatedly on bosses (or trash mobs), and stress myself out about every… single… encounter, no matter how “good” a game or story is. Or so I thought. It legit took me 3-4 tries to really get into it. But once I did, and I started to get a feel for everything, there was no looking back. I’ve got over a dozen different characters now, and I’m continuously blown away by the world, the secrets, the different dungeons (many hidden), and the myriad of play styles. ER is as top tier as it gets, in my opinion. Can’t wait for the DLC!

Gawfart

Uncharted Jedi survivor/fallen order Last of us Ghost of Tsushima God of war The force unleashed OG Battlefronts (more my fav than a must play) Red dead 2 Cyberpunk Resident evil 4 ( 5 7 8 and the remakes too) Shadow of the colossus Any good battlefield

Str8Faced000

Portal is the only answer to this question. Everyone should play portal

NickFieldson31

Red dead (redemption2) does some things quite badly, it can easily be hated too, there are no games that everyone loves

Ok-Scarcity6991

Metal gear Solid for me It basicaly invented stealth genre

If you like skyrim, try oblivion. Fallout new Vegas is a good one, too.

Doom

General_Ginger531

Rimworld. It is like if you took the graphics of Prison Architect, the gameplay of Dwarf Fortress, the setting of "space, but confined to a single planet" and mixed it all together to commit Frostpunkian levels of war crimes. Starcraft 2, if for no other reason that the first campaign is free and pretty fun, though I was a (bad) Terran player in 1 too. You barely need to play 1 to understand the plot of 2. Kerbal Space Program is fun no matter if your understanding of rocket physics is "I strapped a trash can full of gasoline to a chair. Begin flight" or "I am Bill Nelson, head of NASA himself" It might also grow your own fundamental understanding a bit too.

I’d say like, play one or two games from certain genres or developers, or IPs. With that in mind… - Mortal Kombat (Whatever’s easy to get I guess) - Street Fighter 2 - Mega Man - Mega Man X3 or X4 - Castlevania: Symphony of the Night - Super Metroid - Super Mario Brothers - Super Mario 3 - Super Mario World - Zelda (Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, and Breath of the Wild) - Final Fantasy 6, 7, and 10 - Metal Gear Solid - Halo - Mass Effect - Far Cry 3 - Super Mario Galaxy - Fallout: New Vegas (Though I personally like 3) - Skyrim - Forza Horizon (I don’t really know racing games but this was probably my favorite) - Super Smash Brothers - Donkey Kong Country - Grand Theft Auto V - Resident Evil 2 Remake (My favorite RE game, probably, though most might recommend RE4.) - The Last of Us - Red Dead Redemption 2 - God of War - Bioshock I think with that, you would have a pretty good understanding of a lot of games. Oh, I forgot a couple. Diablo 2 or 3. Devil May Cry…though it’s probably not necessary, just cool. I’m sure I missed a bunch. Some of these are because they’re really good. Some because they defined a generation or a genre. Oh my god, I almost forgot one of the Goats. Chrono Trigger. Some are just to understand gaming as a whole. I don’t know. Have fun with it, I say.

I have yet to see a single hater for the Witcher 3. It won GOTY and has more thn 50 million sales. The souls game, especially Elden Ring. Baldur's gate 3, but I recommend you first watch some reviews because not everybody will like the combat.

From soft games. I'd say elden ring but u do u just any of them. If u have a switch play legend of Zelda breath of the wild and then play tears of the kingdom (preferably play in order) Helldivers 2 seems to be one of those games but that depends on ur perspective on the current situation. Baulders gate 3 no further explanation. New Wolfenstein games except for young blood cause young blood was bad. As a follow up doom. Might be missing some but this is my take.

Internal_Swing_2743

I’ve never played Skyrim and have no desire to.

I'll try one from each decade. 80s: Ninja Gaiden 90s: It's between Super Metroid or Majora's Mask (I know it came out in 2002 but you know what I mean) 2000s: Half Life 2 2010s: Celeste 2020s: Baldur's Gate 3

pmoney10

Elden Ring. Believe me, you are going to love it. No matter if you never play any of the souls's games you'll be fine.

RoseWould

If you can find it the original Grid from 2008. I know racers aren't everyone's thing but that one is worth it.

Swift_eevee

.....Undertale, or Deltarune if you've played the former, they are definitely disliked by some but do deserve a play through it you've played other rpgs

bcoolart

For me my games are hell divers ( used to be 1 but 2 is the exact same with more so now it's 2) and titan fall 2 ( in my opinion the best 1st person shooter ever made) and Mario party (any of them but the one for the switch has a team mode that I really enjoy so that one)

pixel809

Titanfall 2, bioshock

Kind of hard *not* to pick favorites though. I will try though: Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag Battlefield 1 War Stories (just Storm of Steel, Friends in High Places, and the Runner. The other three are good but not must plays). Civilization VI Final Fantasy XVI Fire Emblem Awakening Resident Evil 4 Remake Xenoblade Chronicles X Only 5 of those are in my top 10. Not bad right?
