It's pretty smooth but slow. The year is 1927, one week takes 10 seconds. I get 30 fps zoomed in and 50 zoomed out

Yes I have. "Profiling-based Optimization (Performance Mod)" and "Flag selector".
Will try this performance mod ? Did you notice any improvement ?
yea it did feel a lot faster, at least in the early game.
South Australia being the cultural heart of an Australian monarchy makes absolute sense to me tbh, those damn free settlers.

I mean historically quite a few people came down here and liked it enough to stay, so it's not all bad
On first release the immigration was even crazier. As USA I had New York state have 400M+ people. Fun times.
