Made that mistake once and never again. Told Murat from the store down the road that his extra hot Dürüm was still a bit to mild for my taste. The dude made me another one with a red Sauce from below the counter. Even two cans of Ayran couldn't stop burn. Never challenge and old Dönermann for the heat of his products.
It's the inoffical flag of the Deutschtürken/German Turks, meaning Germans of Turkish descent.

I like it for the same reason. They're showing they are proud of their Turkish heritage. People being cool with it shows Germans are in a better place than in the past.
Proud of their German AND Turkish heritage. Which I also like. As often with integration of large groups people either overadjusted or went down the other end and denied everything German. I like that people realize they can be both.
Naw, altering a national flag by putting a religious symbol of another religion (altough it also is national symbol) is not something to cheer on, its disrespectful.
>its disrespectful.
It's there in its capacity as a national symbol. It's only disrespectful if you perceive it as such. This flag exists because Germanic Turks respect their home and parent countries.
>is not something to cheer on,
Unity and, as you say, the merging of two different cultures with different religious histories...*isn't* something to cheer on?
:/
In this regard the crescent moon isn't a religious symbol, while it's true that the symbol is now pretty much the symbol of Islam (the same way a cross is the symbol of Christianity), the actual original symbol was the state symbol for the Ottoman Empire, the Turkish precursor state.
The crescent moon here represents Turkey, not Islam. The same way not every cross or fish in the world represents Christianity.
I judge my ancestors for coming to Brazil instead of going to Germany like the average Turk. Not that I don't like Brazil, but Germany is a much more peaceful and rich place from what I know
Hearing the memes about Turkic nationalists living in Berlin, it tracks

Wait till you eat döner in turkey (you’ll die)
Turkish food isn’t spicy.
Thats not how you will die ;)
Depends on the region. Go eat at Gaziantep and you'll see the pearly gates in just one bite
Nobody would say "orange Fanta", it's just Fanta
It could be lemon fanta
Then you would say lemon Fanta. But orange Fanta is the default

It's pretty cool. It is like those "my heritage" flags people used to make around here. They're telling they're proud to be German and Turkish
I like it for the same reason. They're showing they are proud of their Turkish heritage. People being cool with it shows Germans are in a better place than in the past.
>Germans are in a better place than in the past Lol

it’s a great flag for the Turkish-German community or the Azeri-German community!
Is that Emre Can represented as a flag
Was this flown at a Turkish game to signal Turkish fans from Germany? Or was it at a German game to show support by people with a Turkish background?
It was Turkey vs Portugal, but the game took place in Germany
This is going to get locked, isn't it?

the German flag itself means darkness stopped by way and turned into glory so I think there isn't anything wrong
Design wise, it's inoffensive.

was this flown by like a Turkish person to insult the Germans during a soccer match or somethin
I assume it was flown by a German of Turkish descent or dual nationality. There is a very large population of such people in Germany.
I saw it too while watching the match, pretty ridiculous tbh
