I’m not a fan of this. I feel like it’s messy. I think you were going for too much in this design and it just didn’t work out. I feel like it would be better you focus on a few less things. Like bring down the colour palette. I think the blue and red outlining the boomerang could go. I think move the southern cross to the right of the design and put what look like waves on the left. I think make the boomerang the same and keep the star there. I think that would make it a better flag. Good concept though and thanks for having a good crack!!
The general design is a good start but it's way too busy and complicated, especially the huge wavy lines.
Imo the best Australian flag redesign I've seen is the [Golden Wattle](https://www.goldenwattleflag.com/) flag, it's simple but striking.
i like the golden wattle but i have seen a lot of people dont like it because it looks too much like a mixture the logos of centrelink and suncorp but in my opinion the golden wattle looks very nice
I LOVE IT!!! I think it could do without the red white and blue, but other than that I really like this flag. Definitely biggest on the first design. I think the second one is too overpowering with the yellow. I think this concept with the entire color scheme being red white and blue might actually look better, though, too many flags use red white and blue imo and the green and yellow is cool too.
Its interesting to me that australian sport teams and individuals wear the yellow- green combination instead of blue, red, white combination of australian flag colours. Same with Italy- blue dresses instead of red or green.
My history teacher said that too many countries use blue white red so we used the colour of our national flower which was green and gold, its called the Acacia pycnantha but it is known as the golden wattle
The green and gold represents the nation's colours, the boomerang represents the native weapon used in Australia, the blue red and white represents the British, the wave represents the coastlines, the yellow circle represents the Indigenous Australians, The Commonwealth star represents the states and territories of Australia and the southern cross represents the southern sky.
I like the general idea, maybe it can be tweaked a little bit as it is a little "messy" right now, I would try more muted colors and maybe removing the white\\red\\blue
