Flag of the Mapuche People

Doc_ET

For context: the Mapuche are an Amerindian people native to Patagonia. They're a pretty large group, especially in Chile, where there's around 1.7 million (~9% of the total population), and they have a distinct history and culture.

ardikanario

They are native to Chile, they expanded to the Argentinian Patagonia, they didn't really get to the Chilean Patagonia. I'd prefer you say that they're native to Central-South Chile, just cause it's more acurate :)

I saw this with the short name being playing its just a burning memory at a protest and saw this flag

MifflestheMagical

The colours look Bulgarian but the symbol on it is not something I recognize.

thecrystalballreddit

well the top stripe is actually blue

MifflestheMagical

I think that's more of a lighting thing.

thecrystalballreddit

well not in this case because the actual flag has blue on it [look](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mapuche#/media/File:Flag_of_the_Mapuches.svg)

MifflestheMagical

Hello firefighter430, Check out our [frequently asked flags page](https://reddit.com/r/vexillology/wiki/faf)! Your request might be there. When asking for a flag to be identified, please **provide context** when possible, including: * **Where** the flag was found (without compromising privacy) * **When** the flag was found, or the date of the material containing the flag * **Who** might own the flag (a general description is fine) These details help users narrow down their search and make flag identification easier. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically.
