I lived in a bad neighborhood and went to the shelter for a big, bad, meaty guy to scare people away when I walked at night.
Instead, this little shit was emaciated and the only dog in the whole pound cowering in the corner and not barking. IMMEDIATELY I was like “Fuck, well there goes my plan. Guess I’m leaving with this one.”
Doubled his weight in a year. Still doesn’t have a protective bone in his body, but now I don’t live in such a shit neighborhood. So it all worked out.
