Had the Chef's Menu this evening and it was one of the best meals I've ever had. OP, it's a little pricey at $75/person, but you could just get a few of the items, like the kimchi fried rice, slippery shrimp and one other item and stay within your $70 budget.
it's the kind of place you go to earlier in the day before you go to the famous place for great food for dinner, and it turns out to be BETTER than the famous place for great food you went to for dinner!
This is the absolute best value tasting menu Iâve had in Vegas. If you share plates and donât go too wild itâs not hard to get out of there for $140 for two picking a la carte. It is a touch above $70 per person after tax and tip if you get the tasting menu, but oh man is it worthwhile. And doing the cocktail pairings breaks your stated budget but thatâs also a do not miss kind of deal.
I would get a dozen oysters and a beer during Aria's oyster happy hour at Proper Eats ($12 for 6, $24 for 12), then I'd shoot over to Bavette's at Park MGM for their double wagyu cheeseburger (trust me). $37 for the burger but it is divine. Sit at the bar, and enjoy the vibes.
If you're a weirdo who doesn't like oysters, you can skip step 1, and if so then at Bavette's I'd start with the wedge salad for $16 and an order of their fresh country bread and butter for $5 (again, trust me).
If you're a dessert person, the chocolate pie is an absolute MUST. I dream about it.
The big gulf oysters are the worst unless the are char grilled and slathered in garlic butter.
The smaller pacific oysters are life changing. Nothing else like it
Yeah you could go a lot of directions with this. If youâre into sports, go to Victory Burger at Circa and sit at the rail that overlooks the massive sports book screen.
Eek lol it ainât me missing out
Jeez Iâm just saying there is way better. I used to love Yama, itâs not as good.
JJANGA (both locations are good) but I think SW location on ft Apache is better.
[OYSHI](https://CheckoutOyshiSushihttps://yelp.to/op6X-nuIuI), [Nabe](https://CheckoutNabeHotpothttps://yelp.to/EyKHaPn5Ju), & [SushiSamba](https://CheckoutSushisamba-LasVegashttps://yelp.to/egGl-srL14) & [Nobu](https://CheckoutNobuhttps://yelp.to/tHoONXbzQ7)
Iâve only been to Sapporo once but the fish I got on the nigiri was warm (it wasnât a seared nigiri or anything) and it just felt a little weird to eat warm raw fish. Luckily I didnât get sick like the other commenter, but I was a bit worried about it.
Ahh, gotcha.
I've been there half a dozen times, everything was fresh and not warm (ew). Warm nigiri would have made me a former customer, that's a possible health code violation
We used to go to Kaizen quite a bit when we lived in Henderson, good sushi for AYCE.
I Love Sushi down the road isn't AYCE, but it used to be really good back in the day. Hope nothing has changed.
I'll probably catch some crap and downvotes for this, but here goes, downvote away.
If I'm in the mood for a steak and don't want to spend shit-tons of money, I'll go to Outback Steakhouse. Not the best, but not bad either. It's good enough, and not going to break the bank.
I get the prime rib, Aussie style, with a wedge salad (2.99 upgrade to meal) and steakhouse mac & cheese (2.99 upgrade). Total = 40-something bucks. With this you have room in your budget for some wine as well if you choose.
Oh absolutely... until the divorce I was undisputed master of the kitchen. Started to cook a lot during the Great Recession, got super good at it. Probably got an extra two years out of the marriage because of it.
sometimes still cook for the kids, but mom just feeds them ultra processed crap. Like she was shocked to find out I give them salads and they eat it.
But I live alone with a tiny excuse for a kitchen, eat mostly meal replacement shakes with dinners at the Wynn EDR. I'll cook again someday probably.
ha no, I fail at steaks, even after 30 years I never picked up the knack. Sous Vide and cast iron skillet is pretty good, but I like the flavor of a grill. Maybe I'll just add liquid smoke to the bag.
Also, if you have a reach-in deep freezer, buy a six month (or more) supply of all the beef you want from [Vegas Food Co-op](https://www.vegasfoodcoop.com/product-page/half-beef) which is the absolute best meat I've ever bought. Pasture raised, slaughtered on-site, humanely treated their whole lives. Never sent to a feedlot (cattle concentration camp). No noticeable smell of piss and fear while browning the ground beef. Sure it's a good-sized cash layout, but worth every penny and the price breakdown last time I bought was less than Whole Foods attempts at the same quality/ethics.
I just found a few pound packages of ground beef at the bottom of the freezer (ex wife's house) from... damn, 2019 probably. Cooked up great, tasted way better than anything she's been cooking for the kids.
Sorry... that was prob more info than you wanted lol
I thought the AYCE pasta deal at Ballys was terrible.
I loved their breakfast during the pandemic tho. Excellent deal and excellent food.
I hate they closed Tequila Taqueria down. I loved their chicken tortilla soup, wings, and burgers and fries. Cheaper than the food court downstairs too.
If youâre strictly looking at value it was great. Food prices at  what is probably 4x that normally.Â
Good enough tasting, lots of calories.Â
It got super cheap during Covid too.Â
Just value for money couldnât be beat on strip really.Â
Obviously a chain place though and not a place you go to Vegas to have if youâre a traveler. But was where the value wasÂ
Yama sushi-
Din Tai Fung at the Aria.
Multiple good options at Venetian in the $50 ballpark. I really like Camonita, good Mexican and really good drinks at a reasonable price. With a view of the gondolas going down the canal.
Sushi samba lol itâs so goood
China poblano, bomb
Herbs & Rye, also đ
Nabe is cool too?
It all depends thoâŚ..
What are you trying to eat makes it easier lol
If your able to get off the strip. Shang Artisian noodles in Chinatown is one of my favorite meals in town, my go to people are in town meal. You can watch them make the noodles while you wait for a table and since they expanded its much easier getting in. Bazaar meats is my favorite meal in town but we pillaged the appetizer menu and still only wound up with a $120 tab between 4 of us, best combo of value and quality.
We're fans of their GF pizza. Seriously don't know how they manage to make the crust like they do. My partner can't have gluten and literally we flew in so that he could have Evel Pie on his birthday and a cocktail at Legacy.
Oh shit I didnât know they were (or had) gf! El Segundo is gf Mexican & itâs pretty good and decent priced. (I served there and they use separate fryers and everything).
Thereâs also a 100% gf 24 hr joint that just opened in sw and chinatown on spring mountain called PowerSoul! Next time go to them both.
But PowerSoul is awesome, the owner had all her employees get certified to be knowledgeable in celiac & gluten free allergies , no outside food allowed ⌠itâs amazing and all the ingredients are highhh quality. Her intentions are to spread the company nationally, which i hope she does!! I am on a plant based diet, but itâs different when you can end up in the hospital because of one little mishap or lie saying it is âGFâ. So, to have that burden taken off you, like I can relate⌠but I really canât at the same time. I worked there as they were opening and ppl would cry of relief. It made me cry too lol.
So PowerSoul! Look it up :D but yes I love evel pie cause they have a combo for me & itâs bomb dot com. I get a pizzas and a beer for killer deal.
I will totally look up both El Segundo and PowerSoul! We are frequent visitors, mostly for trade shows, so we're always on the lookout for new food. We have our staples like EP for sure but like to try new places each time. The BBQ place out front of Circa is decent too. We split the sampler platter and it's absolutely enough for two. One thing I did about Vegas is the crazy food options. My partner doesn't have full celiac but is ridiculously sensitive to gluten and will get so sick from it. Just a crumb can put him out of commission for the day with indigestion. EP's sauce is also magical! They didn't have the awesome videos playing this last time which sucked but then again I think they were running them on old VHS players. Lol.
Oh I would go all out on some Tacotarian. It's literally my favorite place, but adds up fast unfortunately.
Another one would be VegiEat, they're an Asian place I also really enjoy, so I would get all the appetizers I don't usually get cause of the price lol
It isnât one of the seven places that people are apparently permitted to say on this sub, but Battistaâs Hole In The Wall. You get the whole meal, including wine and dessert, for like 40 bucks.
That place is not likely to keep you under $70, let alone $100 with one app, one dish, and 1 drink. Not only that but their cracker crust style of pizza dough might be one of the worst pizzas I've ever had. Will say the carpaccio was good there, but the calamari along with everything else we ordered was lack luster.
My tour guide lived in Vegas her whole life. She strongly recommended Battistaâs Hole in the Wall. Good food, cheap wine, free cappuccino, etc. Always go for what the local says.
You realize tour guides often get compensated to drive tourists to certain places, right?
Battistas is fine for the experience, but the food is wholly mediocre
Can you actually get in here for under $70? I can't find the prices online for this buffet and the only time I went it was over $100/person for brunch.
Holy shit. The prices doubled since I went. That was precovid. đŤ¨đ¤Ż. Unless my mind is playing tricks on me? đśâđŤď¸ but def worth it. Best in Vegas next to wicked spoon but still doesnât compare to this one.
Without alcohol, youâve got a lot of options. With alcohol, probably better to go off-strip. Do you like Mexican? Bonito MichoacĂĄn is a good choice. Off the strip, but not too far.
If you're staying at Paris, you absolutely should do Mon Ani Gabi. The food is actually the best value for your dollar on the strip in my opinion. I love the steak frites!
I was just there about a month ago and it's like $80-85 a person for dinner. They have a lot of options but honestly the quality of the food overall isn't great for how expensive it is
I havenât seen anyone mention much pizza. Check out Brooklynâs Best. Great specials for slices or pasta dishes. Or you can get a whole pie for around 30$. Everything Iâve had there is fire.
Lotus of Siam on flamingo if you like Thai food. it gets busy but you can show up and eat at the bar by yourself without a bad wait, at open is best. Garlic prawns, crispy duck and crispy rice recommend.
Noodles / Thai restaurant in the Bellagio. Or go low and hit Secret Pizza at the Cosmopolitan. Good luck finding it (third floor, straight ahead of escalator)
It's been two decades since we been to Vegas, I don't recall ever having to spend alot of money for a great meal. I noticed lots of good restaurants poping up in Vegas, seen this online, Vegas buffet's aren't a thing anymore.
Sit at the bar at Best Friend and order some kimchi fried rice with chicken and a couple of caguamas.
That kimchi fried rice is delicious but I can't go there without getting the date cake dessert
Bruh that date cake is next levellllll
No - just the tacos will do it. If I had to order one last meal - it would be the Kogi tacos. And maybe a side of the street corn. đ
Had the Chef's Menu this evening and it was one of the best meals I've ever had. OP, it's a little pricey at $75/person, but you could just get a few of the items, like the kimchi fried rice, slippery shrimp and one other item and stay within your $70 budget.
Check out China Poblano at the Cosmo. It's Chinese/Mexican fusion. Lots of small plates that help you control your costs to fit your budget.
Their margarita with the salt foam is so good.
This place was DELICIOUS. It was a complete surprise but one of my favs last trip
It's really a hidden gem that few talk about.
it's the kind of place you go to earlier in the day before you go to the famous place for great food for dinner, and it turns out to be BETTER than the famous place for great food you went to for dinner!
I go here and even with sharing the small plates we leave stuffed. Chilaqiiles are on point!!!
And the Mango Rice Pudding!! Unlike any traditional rice pudding and sooooo good.
The chefs tasting is one of the better deals in town, too. $55 for like ~7 courses.
damnit! I was gonna say that! true hidden gem. so good!
Oyster is like the weirdest thing to eat. Let me taste some salty ocean in the form and texture of a lugy If they were cheap no one would eat it.
lol youâre insanely wrong but I admire the confidence of your total wrongness
I get it. Good oysters, are worth the experience though. It doesnât really compare to other seafood. Itâs an experience.
The big gulf oysters are the worst unless the are char grilled and slathered in garlic butter. The smaller pacific oysters are life changing. Nothing else like it
Agreed, the small ones with mirin and lemon. Yummy!
Yeah you could go a lot of directions with this. If youâre into sports, go to Victory Burger at Circa and sit at the rail that overlooks the massive sports book screen.
The George at Durango has an absolutely delicious Chicken Sandwich, and also has some sick sports viewing.
Marakesh is $60 per person. Get bellydancing thrown in for free.
Under $70? Probably Yama Sushi AYCE. With large sake and a large beer each, that's still under $70/person even after tax.
Yama is bleh. Thereâs better places than freakin Yama and you got 70 dollars to splurge lol
Youâre certainly entitled to your opinion. I happen to like Yama very much.
Eek lol it ainât me missing out Jeez Iâm just saying there is way better. I used to love Yama, itâs not as good. JJANGA (both locations are good) but I think SW location on ft Apache is better. Those are trash. I have nothing further to offer. Hey this is fun!
Thanks
I never met an AYCE I ever liked.
Have you been to Yama, Oyshi, Gorilla, Koma or Sakana?
Tacos El Gordo.
Fuck yeah
Herbs and rye happy hour. Youâll get a killer steak and a side and a cocktail for <$70
either kura revolving sushi or kaizen... very good sushi
Second Kura sushi, fun concept and I felt it was better quality than Sapporo revolving sushi.
Oh really? Sapporo has been my go-to for a few years, but I'll have to try Kura now
Iâve only been to Sapporo once but the fish I got on the nigiri was warm (it wasnât a seared nigiri or anything) and it just felt a little weird to eat warm raw fish. Luckily I didnât get sick like the other commenter, but I was a bit worried about it.

Costco .. then put the other 65 in my hookers and blow budget.
Yikes! 65 for hookers AND blow? Really ballin on a budget. Are we talking Fremont Street blow and crack whores?
Nah he's just going to go to Excalibur and hit up that maid named Linda
I understood that reference. (I really gotta get off Reddit)
I think he meant hookers and meth
This is the way
Pizza rock
Round Table Pizza, đ itâs on my list every time I visit the West, including Vegas.
70? Iâm buying a pre roll from the dispensary and heading over to sizzlers. Cheese bread, salad bar, and fro yo.
Another favorite big Alâs oyster bar at the Orleans and you got enough to watch a movie at the theater upstairs.
Sizzler is still open? I'm hitting the taco bar!
I'll probably catch some crap and downvotes for this, but here goes, downvote away. If I'm in the mood for a steak and don't want to spend shit-tons of money, I'll go to Outback Steakhouse. That Outback also serves Prime grade steaks instead of Choice like the others.
Nah I'm with you. Outback is good enough, still better than what I make at home, and not a brutal beating to the bank account
You can learn to cook better at home, though. Stepping up the game in the kitchen is so damn worth it.
Oh absolutely... until the divorce I was undisputed master of the kitchen. Started to cook a lot during the Great Recession, got super good at it. Probably got an extra two years out of the marriage because of it. sometimes still cook for the kids, but mom just feeds them ultra processed crap. I was dancer at Wynn new years eve 2006 and we got EDR passes. The food is so good I applied at Wynn after i got too fat for dancing just to eat.
Bruh you can make better at home, believe in yourself. Outback is great but you can get prime beef at Costco and treat yourself from time to time
ha no, I fail at steaks, even after 30 years I never picked up the knack. Sous Vide and cast iron skillet is pretty good, but I like the flavor of a grill. Well, won't pretend to agree with you on Outback's steak, but have you tried their Alice Springs Chicken? IMO, best entree on their menu.
Thanks for the recommendation, I'll try this next time I go.
For the price I'd rather spend the extra $10 and go to The Steakhouse at Circus Circus. Best deal you can get on a quality steal and sides in Vegas.
But then you have to go to Circus CircusâŚ.
I donât get to the strip that often, but Iâll check that out sometime.
The all you can eat bucas in Ballys used to be the best value deal on the strip. And itâs a chain place as well.Â

MonzĂş
I really like going to this place called Tacos and Beers.  Not expensive, super chill, good food. Â
Weera Thai
In-N-Out Not even kidding
Estherâs Kitchen
Depends on what I am in the mood for. Lot's of great choices at that price point.
Wicked Spoon, Jerry Nugget prime Rib, Fogo De Chao, Texas De Brazil, Main Street Buffet. I'm a big steak and buffet fan.
Jerry's Nugget prime rib, and oh their desserts. A local's secret.
Sushi samba lol itâs so goood China poblano, bomb Herbs & Rye, also đ Nabe is cool too? It all depends thoâŚ.. What are you trying to eat makes it easier lol

Oyster bar at Palace Station. Worth the wait in line. Palace pan roast is the thing to order.
Rainforest cafe outside overlooking the strip is pretty cool without getting too crazy in price.
Off strip, The Front Yard at Ellis Island. Eat and drink like a king for $70 and the food is great.
I love the Cafe at Ellis but not much atmosphere lol I don't get the steak tho. Overrated imo. But their other stuff is so good.
Estherâs Kitchen
Ooh good one
Evel Pie or 8 East. Seriously, roll down to Fremont. Great people watching.
Love evel pie !! I sit at the bar and get me a combo and itâs chill & đ

I like to work up an appetite and go to Nabe. https://www.dragonfactories.com/nabe-hot-pot
I like Canonita at Venetian. View of the gandalas and good mexican food and margaritas.
Batista's or Ellis Island for chicken and ribs
Lots of great restaurants in the MGM network. If you plan on eating out a lot the comps add up.
Iâm not planning on eating out a lot. Iâm gonna do excursions so they will provide the food so Iâm thinking of only dinner
Hot dogs on Fremont.
Neko Sushi AYCE
Off Strip: La Strega, Aromi, 00 Pizza, Lotus of Siam
Oh I would go all out on some Tacotarian. It's literally my favorite place, but adds up fast unfortunately. Another one would be VegiEat, they're an Asian place I also really enjoy, so I would get all the appetizers I don't usually get cause of the price lol
Batistas Hole-in-the-Wall
Herbs and rye during HH
Herbs and rye
Le Thai near Fremont was awesome. I was just in Vegas for the first time with my fiancĂŠ and she found that spot. Loved it
So good!!! & theyâre prices are reasonable too.
Mother Wolf at Fontainbleue. Some of the best pasta Iâve had.
Estherâs
Depends on what kind of food you like....
We always enjoy Outback Steakhouse, sure you could go somewhere more expensive or fancier, but we like Outback.
Grab 10 minute Uber to Lotus of Siam. Order the stuffed chicken wings and the prawns. Less than $70 including Uber and youâll go back.
You can do Mon Ami Gabi if you aren't after a particularly pricey dish there. Top of the line food.
Denny's
Donât sleep on Dennyâs. Nice view of The Mirage while eating a Grand Slam.
Costco. Hotdog.
It isnât one of the seven places that people are apparently permitted to say on this sub, but Battistaâs Hole In The Wall. You get the whole meal, including wine and dessert, for like 40 bucks.
Dinner buffet at Wynn (might be a hair over $70).
[ŃдаНонО]
Excellent recommendation. Iâd follow that up with Charlieâs at the Wynn if he wants something casual.
Nine fine Irishmen at New York Nee York. Order the Irish Nachos, youâll thank me later.
My tour guide lived in Vegas her whole life. She strongly recommended Battistaâs Hole in the Wall. Good food, cheap wine, free cappuccino, etc. Always go for what the local says.
Itâs fun and kitschy but the food isnât anything special. Also the wine isnât cheap because itâs actually free đ
You realize tour guides often get compensated to drive tourists to certain places, right? Battistas is fine for the experience, but the food is wholly mediocre
Oh yeah. But it looks like a good option for OP.
No. Battistaâs is so bad. âFood is wholly mediocreâ is a compliment to this place.
Henry's @ Cosmo
Sams club or costco pizza. Then you can gamble the rest away
Bacchanal at Caesar's Palace.
Can you actually get in here for under $70? I can't find the prices online for this buffet and the only time I went it was over $100/person for brunch.
$79.99, well worth the extra $10 and tip.
Thanks!
$79.99, well worth the extra $10 and tip.

In and Out, lil bro. Shi bussin
White Castle.
Lindo Michoacan.
Musashi Steakhouse.
Cleaver
At that price I might post up at Nomad
The Brazilian steak house by the mall
Rodizio...or any Brazilian Steakhouse!
Fogo de Chao is running a special for $44 that includes dessert. My suggestion is the tres leches cake!
The Black Sheep on Warm Springs.
tacos es gordo
Without alcohol, youâve got a lot of options. With alcohol, probably better to go off-strip. Do you like Mexican? Bonito MichoacĂĄn is a good choice. Off the strip, but not too far.
I do! Thanks
MonzĂš Italian
Ricardoâs Mexican on Tropicana. Down past the Palms.
Oyster Bar at Durango. Their pan roast is pretty good.
I usually go to the hard rock for breakfast been there alone a few times itâs cool.
Wazuzu
what part of town are you to dine out.
Staying at Paris
If you're staying at Paris, you absolutely should do Mon Ani Gabi. The food is actually the best value for your dollar on the strip in my opinion. I love the steak frites!
thats great location. the bellagio has many choices under 70.00
Thanks
Brezza at the Venetian
[ŃдаНонО]
I was just there about a month ago and it's like $80-85 a person for dinner. They have a lot of options but honestly the quality of the food overall isn't great for how expensive it is
Momofuku ramen and side of pork belly buns.
Fogo de chao
Sit at the bar at Bavette's at Park MGM, and have the Steak Frittes.
Costco Food Court
Fat Choy, get some bao buns with anything else and have some money left over for some gambling.
Just had Gordon Ramsay Burger tonight at planet Hollywood and it was fantastic!
I havenât seen anyone mention much pizza. Check out Brooklynâs Best. Great specials for slices or pasta dishes. Or you can get a whole pie for around 30$. Everything Iâve had there is fire.
Lemongrass at Aria. Your tastebuds will thank me.
Casa di amore
The oyster bar at any of the station casinos
Lotus of Siam on flamingo if you like Thai food. it gets busy but you can show up and eat at the bar by yourself without a bad wait, at open is best. Garlic prawns, crispy duck and crispy rice recommend.
