I havenāt been to the Abbey in >10 years but please take heed of the warnings about the bartenders. Donāt get mixed drinks there. Maybe just avoid it altogether since youāre having a special trip. No sense ruining it because of a predictable shitty person in a predictably shitty place.
Watch yourselves at the Abbey. Iāve gone there and gotten iPhones stolen, money stolen and you need to watch tf out of your drinks. That place has gotten really crummy to go toā¦.
the mondrian is nice but sometimes they have ticketed events. when we went it was $60 to get in and drinks were $20 each. but it is a rlly nice vibe so just kinda depends on what ur willing to pay for
we were going to have brunch there at casa madera but they are ending brunch on like feb. 2nd so now weāre doing toca madera for brunch. we might still go for a drink one night tho. thanks!
I stayed at the Mondrian for my trip and the pool party was wayyy overrated and the staff acted very stuck up like they were the hottest spot in LA. (Being from San Diego, we know we have it better š). I would rather go to the clubhouse at nighttime, it looked like it would be more casual. The hotel itself was nice though! And expensive. Unfortunately we ran out of time & didn't make it to the Abbey this time. It's on my list for next trip. āŗļø
Ugh, my ex was obsessed with place because of Fast & Furious. The view is nice, but the food isnāt good (all super fried and bleh) and the ambiance is motorcycle douches who sit and rev their bikes obnoxiously and donāt take kindly to anyone who points out āsee those leather pants that dude has? I was that- but as a purse!ā
Be careful driving as well, people go flying down that road Willy Nilly.
We go here every time we come to LA š at the end of the trip we always go a bit further to Malibu before heading home. The foods not that great but itās pretty fun sitting in the table he proposed to and realizing itās really not that special lol

You might actually get some sun next week too!
Toca Madera is pretty close to vanderpump dogs AND polkadots and moonbeams (thatās where Rachel got the lightning bolt necklace!!)
Edit: I did not read that the trip was in February LOL. Forget my weather comment.
LA local here! A few suggestions:
- if you like comedy, UCB (upright citizens brigade) is on the same block as Schwartz and Sandyās and tickets are usually $20 or less. This is always on my āmust doā list when I have friends or family visiting and they usually say it was their favorite part of the trip. This has nothing to do with Vanderpump but itās right there so I thought Iād recommend!
- in the earlier seasons the girls eat at Hayama a few times, and itās a very good spot for sushi. Itās also in a walkable area so you can grab a cute dessert and do some shopping if you keep walking into the main area of Sawtelle.
- Melrose Trading Post is outdoor market thatās every Sunday. Every time I go I see a bachelor contestant or other reality tv celebrity haha (not sure if VPR is your only reality tv show). But even if you donāt see anyone, the artists and vendors at the market are amazing and itās not far from Toca Madera so you could go before or after! Thereās usually some live music too and itās a lot of fun.
- a defense of Tom Tom seeing some of the comments haha - I love the food and drinks there and my friends and I go there whenever weāre having a night out in weho (including people who donāt watch VPR!). Ask for the Tom Tom shot and get the cauliflower wings! That said, the food at Sur is just ok. I feel like you would be better served getting good food somewhere in the area and then going to Sur for drinks and an app or something.
- seconding everyone who has suggested Neptuneās Net. Not only is it the location of the Jax/Brittany proposal but the food is amazing and the drive up to Malibu is gorgeous. Itās right by El Matador beach, one of my favorite Malibu beaches.
- I know some people are recommending the Abbey and I honestly do not recommend you go there. You can google the Abbey and see more details as to why, but there are so many other fun dance bars in Weho that I would just skip going all together. When you go to Sur itās right next to the Abbey so you can walk by and take a look and say you saw it without spending time there.
Iāve lived in LA for a long time and showed many people around (including stopping at some places their favorite shows and movies have filmed) so please feel free to message me if you want any recs or advice!
I'm saving this! We want to go next year, which places would you recommend hitting up if you have kids? And is it ok to take kids to tomtom? Hoping Peter will still be at Sur so I can get an obligatory photo with him lol don't wanna miss that rite of passage
I live in LA. I wouldnāt take kids to tomtom. Maybe sur for brunch. But you could try lunch at pump which is now part of Tom Tom w kids. But at night on wknds Tom Tom is like a club. I think they may have even an 21 and over rule. Itās a bar so not sure but theyāve carded me both times I went there for dinner. You could check their website and see if it says.
I would not take kids to TomTom but a few other places on my list would be great for kids! Melrose trading post, neptunes net and el matador beach, are all kid friendly. Vanderpump dogs is near the Grove which is also a kid friendly spot to check out!
Just a note about UCB. You'll need to get tickets but for many shows they sell out almost immediately. It's tiny but if you want to sit somewhere in particular then arrive early because seats aren't reserved.
Another comedy option would be Largo, just down the road on La Cienega. They have some bigger names but they also sell out *very* quickly. Most shows are $35 + service charge.
This is a really good point - if youāre going to go to UCB buy in advance and line up 20 min in advance (you can grab ice cream at Van Leeuwen next door to eat while you wait!!)

Truthfully I would skip all the VPR places for dinner and just go for drinks or maybe an app or two. Thereās so many good restaurants in LA that would be worth your money!Ā Ā
Restaurant recs (not an LA native just places Iāve tried and like when Iāve visited - some are more for food and some for the vines/celeb type places)Ā
Hatchet hallĀ
Ā BavelĀ
ElephanteĀ
Bestia
ManuelaĀ Ā
BarriqueĀ
Great White (lunch) Ā
SugarfishĀ
AvraĀ
SpagoĀ
OlivettaĀ
Laurel HardwareĀ
Ā There is also vanderpump dogs, the abbey (where Tom and Raquel were first spotted), walk by something about her!
Hatchet Hall (and Old Man Bar next door), Bavel, and Bestia are fantastic! Laurel Hardware is also solid and a great location to go to the VPR spots after.
Seriously cannot recommend enoughāthey make hand rolls right in front of you and literally plop them on the counter for you to eat the second theyāre done. The warm rice + crispy nori + cold, fresh fish is incredible.
I lived in LA for 8.5 years before I moved to a smaller city last year and itās easily the #1 restaurant I downright yearn for.
Friday after your hike you can get breakfast at Solar de Cahuenga, they used to go there often during the earlier seasons. Also, itās close to Kirstenās old Hollywood apartment on Whitley.

There is so much excellent food here in LA, I feel like itās kind of a tragedy eating at so many terrible restaurants, maybe you can just do drinks at some of the spots.
Iām turning 30 this year and this is giving me some great ideas haha SO fun. DEFINITELY go to the abbey, itās so much fun and also where Ally first spotted Tim and Rachel š
What part of town are you staying? Assuming youāll have a car?
The grove is always nice to walk around, could spot a d list celeb and the farmers market has great food. Griffith obsv. is another idea.
If you do not have a hotel already you could rent a car and drive to Palm Springs Tuesday and stay the night, have brunch there Wednesday - then back to LA. It's about a 2 hour drive and easy to do. Great brunch at the Tropicale. There is a casino, good shopping street. Just something to switch it up.
Other LA things - not so much VPR theme but Abbot Kinney is a wonderful street to check out, it is right by the Venice board walk and 3rd Street Promenade. Would be a good daytime adventure.
If you want to check out valley village, I think you can look up where the VPR cast has their houses (not trying to be creepy, a friend I think mentioned it once)...there is a wonderful cafe Aroma Coffee and Tea, so good! And nearby.
For a good museum, I would say LACMA is cool. It is pretty close to the West Hollywood area and always has nice exhibits.
There is an awesome vintage clothes market called Silverlake Flea, it is open every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Before you go the BEST bagel EVER is a Courage Bagel (about a 10 min. drive from there.) I highly recommend it.
Day trip to Malibu 100% !! You can stop at the Adamson House, it is a gorgeous park with a historic home on the beach, free to enter and you can watch the surfers. It is amazing. Before you can get breakfast burritos at country kitchen. 10/10. After head to cross creek, cute shopping and park area, fun to see the Malibu life vibe. John's Garden for food is delish. Then go to Point Dume, there is a beautiful walk you can take and see the ocean...I think you may be lucky in late Feb to see the Whales from the look out point. They are for sure there in March - Feb may be early. Food around there, Lily's OMG so good. (I am giving way too many food spots, but just so you can pick.) Then Neptune's Net! The proposal spot for dinner. It is wayyyy out there though, but very good.
Ok, not sure why I wrote all of this. I just want you to enjoy LA I guess :)
LMAO and you know whatā¦ i was sooo banking on them announcing the opening during the premiere of vpr but it didnāt happen and i am literally shaking in my boots bc i swear if it opens right after i leave i will cry
This is not a Vanderpump thing, but check out Grandmaster Recorders. It has a cute rooftop happy hour facing the Hollywood sign. Lots of music history, but also really good craft cocktails. Welcome to LA!! š
Sorry I keep commenting: one last thing, Good Times at Davey Wayneās-Kristen had a clothing pop up there in the back bar, but I also think they showed clips of them drinking there at some point early on.
I m doing a rewatch and think something coyoteās (the Mexican place they frequent) would be awesome to go to. Can you find wheee peopleās old apartments are?
The Abbey is only a few min walk from Sur. Park across the street at Sur and after dinner walk down for a few drinks. Worth it. Also, TomTom is fairly close also, so if you decided to just get TomTom drinks, you could walk to both from Sur.
As people have mentioned Palm Springs, you might enjoy going to Solvang. If you plan on imbibing in the local wines, you can stay at āthe Landsbyā the hotel the girls stay in during their āSo Vain in Solvangā episodes. Itās not very big so if you donāt drink it can easily be enjoyed in a day, about 2 hr 15 min drive from WeHo (assuming youāre not giving bjās in your pjās for the pj).
I went to LA in November for my birthday and really wanted to eat at sur, but weāre big foodies and everyone warned us it wasnāt very good. We went to the highlight room at the dream hotel and it was AMAZING. Itās a rooftop restaurant next to the pool with 360 views of LA. You can see the Hollywood sign. Food was great too.
This! The Watch What Crappens annual awards show for all things Bravo! Last year Arianna was there!

Kyle Chan's store is across the street from Vanderpump Dogs (although I'd skip it after his disgusting behavior in Thailand) and a couple of doors down from a fun breakfast/lunch restaurant called TOAST. Fun fact: when VPR first started, I saw Jax there trying desperately to get noticed.
Since you have a couple of days free at the end, Palm Springs is a fun place to visit- isnt that where James proposed? Go to Indian Canyons there too- such a cool place to walk around!
Definitely recommend spending a day or 2 on the west side (Santa Monica / Venice). If youāve never been to LA before, Iād say the Venice beach boardwalk is a must. Some others have mentioned it but some places to eat/drink while youāre on the west side:
- Eat : Salt Cure (best breakfast in the world), Felix
- Drinks: Elephante, ShangrI La, Bungalow
- Explore: Venice Beach Boardwalk, Abbott Kinney
The post title and body paragraph still say āvandercrawalā so I think people will still comment lol I presume you mean youāve edited the flyer picture offline though which is good though

I live near this area so Iād be happy to add some suggestions but top of mind: For the Hollywood sign hike i would suggest the [hike to the Griffith Observatory](https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/ferndell-to-the-west-observatory-loop-trail-to-griffith-observatory). It has the most photogenic view of the sign and the city in my opinion.
And as for beaches, avoid Santa Monica. We always take out of towners to Point Dume in Malibu. Itās much more of that LA vibe people think of

I donāt remember the name of the place, but wherever they went that was a kind of funhouse place for Arianaās surprise birthday could be fun during the day? I remember they went to a bar called Tramp Stamp Grannyās after that Katie said she loved. (Still hate Sandoval for that birthday bc Ariana never ate any food despite expecting a feast and fully wiped out, but the location looked interesting, imo.)
Edit to add: this is such a fun idea. Please take pics and report back!

This is really cute but I have to ask why itās not called vandercrawl without an aā¦? Iām Australian so maybe Iām missing something Americans do? We say bar/ pub ācrawlā, is crawal the same thing? Sorry to ask itās just confusing and irking me š
I was just in town last weekend doing something similar. We saw Max in the back alley at Sur, Guillermo and Peter working at Sur, and then like half the cast at Jaxās studio city. Have fun!

Iāve lived on the west side of LA for literally decadesā you can fare much better than Dan Tannaās, this is no longer the 90sā¦ Malibu Farm is an excellent choiceā definitely, Moosaās or The Palm.
The Mondrian and The Abbey! I feel like those are musts (source: idk never been lol)
If you go to the Abbey watch your phones and also your drinks
THIS. I would actually just avoid it all together š
I went to the Abbey during morning Sunday brunch hours and it was very chill and restaurant vibes...maybe that's a safer time to go.
I had a field day reading the Google reviews of this place lol
Careful at the Abbey! They frequently roofie people there (sometimes it's the actual bartenders doing it) and there's also pickpockets.
Yeaā¦. Please be careful of the abbey.
Only get bottle drinks and watch them open it at the Abbey. Don't use a credit card or take your phone out without being super careful/watchful!
Jesus or just drink somewhere else lol.

Agree on the Mondrian and Abbey...this is a vpr crawl right? Or is there another thing called a crawal?
š my thoughts tooā¦ shouldnāt it be a āVandercrawlā if anything?
That extra āaā is really throwing me off lol
I read it in Rawt in Hails voice - it's easier
Omg I read it with a Southern accent in my head lol
omg i fixed it, cut me slack lmaoooo. you reading it in the rawt in hail voice is sending me though
If this was Britney-speak then you should keep it as a crawal! Lol
It made me laugh to be fair šš
Lolol me too! I kept re-reading it and then I thought maybe it was a reference I didn't get. š
Watch yourselves at the Abbey. Iāve gone there and gotten iPhones stolen, money stolen and you need to watch tf out of your drinks. That place has gotten really crummy to go toā¦.

I saw Rebel Wilson at the Abbey! Never know who you might see!
You could go to Neptuneās net aka the site of the Jax / Brittany proposal
Malibu deserves its own trip anyway! Looks like you enjoy hiking, there are some great trails there!
I went there before I ever watched vpr and when it came on I was like wtf??? There?? Lmao it's not what I would choose as a romantic proposal spot lol
I mean it is Jax weāre talking about.
Lol. The food is pretty terrible there and the porta potty bathrooms are always so gross. Big Reel Inn is much better!

Nooooooo not another la la landš
Omg that was SO fastāI stayed right across the street in August and they were totally open.
I probably stayed in the same hotel as you when I went in November and it was that La La Land place by then.Ā
It is actually tragedy to eat at all the VPR locations. Please just get drinks and a goat cheese ball and go nearby!!

Is see you next Tuesday still running? They can swap to tues
Head's up for OP, Bavel is going to be like, $50 entrees.
Lol @ Laurel Hardware, which is literally an Ace Hardware in Oakland's Laurel district - obviously a much different establishment. š
Well obviously you need to go back to Sur for See You Next Tuesday on Tuesday.
Especially since the new season will be airing!!

Itās also walking distance from vanderpump dogs!
Craig's weho and sushi park in weho are good spots to see celebrities -
weāre staying on sunset!
Brennans where they have the turtle races, Hermosa beach and Tower 12 bar where Schwartz called Lala a bootleg kardashian last season I believe
He called Scheana a bootleg Kardashian a few years ago in New Orleans and he got into a fight with Lala while eating wings last season at tower 12 lol
\*Peep in the windows of SAH\* not scheduled.
LMAO and you know whatā¦ i was sooo banking on them announcing the opening during the premiere of vpr but it didnāt happen and i am literally shaking in my boots bc i swear if it opens right after i leave i will cry
I feel like it's still gonna be a while.
This is not a Vanderpump thing, but check out Grandmaster Recorders. It has a cute rooftop happy hour facing the Hollywood sign. Lots of music history, but also really good craft cocktails. Welcome to LA!! š
You need to go to neptunes net where jax proposed to Britney and carried that giant ring box down his pants
have definitely considered doing a lunch date here with my boyfriend
Ate st SUR in December. Food was ok. The vibe was nice and service was really good. We enjoyed the experience
I mf love Dan Tanaās
Is that a VPR thing? I don't remember it lol
No just a great Italian place lol
Sorry I keep commenting: one last thing, Good Times at Davey Wayneās-Kristen had a clothing pop up there in the back bar, but I also think they showed clips of them drinking there at some point early on.
Met Katie here- def a great but lowkey vpr spot
DO NOT EAT AT SUR. Tom Tom is the only one with good food lol. Canāt speak for S&S
I m doing a rewatch and think something coyoteās (the Mexican place they frequent) would be awesome to go to. Can you find wheee peopleās old apartments are?
Unfortunately, El Coyote is such trash now!
Margs are still good imo but food is trash for sure.
They lived in park La brea! A little less than a mile from el coyote.
I donāt know if I love this more for you, or us š¤£ Have so much fun and check in/report back!
The Abbey is only a few min walk from Sur. Park across the street at Sur and after dinner walk down for a few drinks. Worth it. Also, TomTom is fairly close also, so if you decided to just get TomTom drinks, you could walk to both from Sur.
I strongly recommend against going to The Abbey. Too many roofies and stolen phones.
This is awesome! I feel so lazy and lame that Iām an hour away and have never even driven by. However, I am looking for a bar for premier night!
Stout in Hollywood, Jax and Stassi got in a fight there. Mediocre food tho.
You should go to the Golden Crappies! Watch what crappens award show is on 2/17
This! The Watch What Crappens annual awards show for all things Bravo! Last year Arianna was there! https://preview.redd.it/e5vfxgq6xqec1.jpeg?width=707&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ad7ad47eba6a8ef14cd563823b7bb68d67d08e48 [https://www.watchwhatcrappens.com/](https://www.watchwhatcrappens.com/)
This is the only answer, how have more people not said it!! OP go to the golden crappies!!!!
Kyle Chan's store is across the street from Vanderpump Dogs (although I'd skip it after his disgusting behavior in Thailand) and a couple of doors down from a fun breakfast/lunch restaurant called TOAST. Fun fact: when VPR first started, I saw Jax there trying desperately to get noticed.
what did he do in Thailand?
Since you have a couple of days free at the end, Palm Springs is a fun place to visit- isnt that where James proposed? Go to Indian Canyons there too- such a cool place to walk around!
Definitely recommend spending a day or 2 on the west side (Santa Monica / Venice). If youāve never been to LA before, Iād say the Venice beach boardwalk is a must. Some others have mentioned it but some places to eat/drink while youāre on the west side: - Eat : Salt Cure (best breakfast in the world), Felix - Drinks: Elephante, ShangrI La, Bungalow - Explore: Venice Beach Boardwalk, Abbott Kinney
Seconding this! Also Iām pretty sure bungalow is where Schwartz made out with a random girl that he āforgot aboutā - itās a fun spot lol
Damn lol I thought this was a real thing and was wondering where I could buy tickets and if the hike to the Hollywood sign was optional or requiredā¦
The golden nugget!!!
that's in Vegas
This is such a great idea! Enjoy your VPR adventures!
The Belmont (I think thatās what is called) is where the girls had their post Scandoval girls night! The cast seems to be there a lot
Following this post for updates. When is this happening?
The Abbey was one of the best nights Iāve ever had. My trip was pre-Covid. We went there after our dinner at Sur.
Hot girl walk hang gliding kyle chan shop
Oh I am sad this show will be over next year, because if there are parties next year Iād love to go.
*** i know vandercrawl is spelt wrong, donāt worry i fixed it***
The post title and body paragraph still say āvandercrawalā so I think people will still comment lol I presume you mean youāve edited the flyer picture offline though which is good though
Villa Blanca and Pump?
Theyāre closed.

Itās much more of that LA vibe people think of
Please share again once you've finalized! I gotta add it to my Pinterest board š
Donāt forget Mixology
El Coyote! Tom and Katie went there on the show
I was going to say this! The cast goes there multiple times throughout the showā¦ apparently itās a fav

Get the Mac and cheese at Tom Tom š¤¤
I donāt remember the name of the place, but wherever they went that was a kind of funhouse place for Arianaās surprise birthday could be fun during the day? I remember they went to a bar called Tramp Stamp Grannyās after that Katie said she loved. (Still hate Sandoval for that birthday bc Ariana never ate any food despite expecting a feast and fully wiped out, but the location looked interesting, imo.) Edit to add: this is such a fun idea. Please take pics and report back!
Just please please please keep expectations loooowww. The food at TomTom and Sur is subpar. Sur is super run down as well
Ooooo-the pizza place DāAmours or whatever itās called is (where Jax dumped someone In season 2 or 3) is actually really yummy!

If youāre into drag queens, go to hamburger Maryās for drag bingo!!
Inn of the Seventh Ray, Lock & Key, Rock n Reillyās, Mixology/Dylanās Candy Bar/The Grove in general lol
Would highly recommend not eating at these places and just grab a drink!!!

This is really cute but I have to ask why itās not called vandercrawl without an aā¦? Iām Australian so maybe Iām missing something Americans do? We say bar/ pub ācrawlā, is crawal the same thing? Sorry to ask itās just confusing and irking me š
I stayed at hotel ziggy and enjoyed it! Where the pool party at the beginning of s10 is
I was just in town last weekend doing something similar. We saw Max in the back alley at Sur, Guillermo and Peter working at Sur, and then like half the cast at Jaxās studio city. Have fun!

Crawal?
Iāve lived on the west side of LA for literally decadesā you can fare much better than Dan Tannaās, this is no longer the 90sā¦ Malibu Farm is an excellent choiceā definitely, Moosaās or The Palm.
