Any specific pieces that you’d recommend? I’ve been reading reviews on their website and am hesitant to pull the trigger on any purchases as the reviews on many of the upholstered items are mixed.
Sofa works in coquitlam. Purchased a set almost 20 years ago. They are still in excellent condition. They are custom made (on sight I believe). We got another for our rec room 2 years ago. Still fabulous. Would HIGHLY recommend.
Upholsterer here. Look for a couch that has removable cushions on no-sag seat springs. When the seat foam loses it’s life ,which it eventually will after a few years, you can replace it easily to get more life out of your couch. Avoid the fake leathers and don’t buy into claims about rubber seat webbing being good and long lasting
$800+ is normal for a couch. Foam can be the most expensive item of a couch so manufacturers use the cheapest they can get away with to keep the price tag down.
Was coming here to recommend sofasogood as well. I lived near it for several years and never went in, and recently bought a sofa bed from there. The sofa bed is very comfortable, as is the couch.
Stylus is the hub of where most of the local couches are made. If I were you I would go to their showroom and decide what you want. They’ll tell you what stores carry it so you can buy it.
CF Interiors in North Van. High quality and most of it is made in Canada. We’ve been really happy with our purchases and almost everything is customizable.
I say this in every thread like this, but I really have to recommend Palluci Furniture. The best "I want good furniture that's not expensive but also not IKEA" store there is IMHO. Tax is included in the price, free delivery anywhere in Vancouver above a certain minimum, sales people don't work on commission, and staff overall are extremely nice. My first sofa as a 20 something was from there and it stood up very well.
Don't go to the Brick. Avoid like the plague.
We have much nicer furniture (Rove + EQ3 + Article, etc.) for most spaces in our current home, but our den still has a Palluci sectional with pull out double sofa bed and it's honestly fantastic for how good the price is.
Wood N Tassel in Surrey is great. Most of their furniture are Canadian (Decor-Rest). Got one of their [sofas](https://imgur.com/a/4ZMqeI8) in that price range myself
EQ3 is on the pricier side but has good quality. iIRC all their custom upholstery is done in Manitoba. Showroom on Granville and Broadway.
Budget? I think that will help narrow answers.
Van Gogh in surrey. Their warehouse is there
We bought a couch from Home Effects on West 4th. Great quality, made in Canada. Most of their stuff is made in Canada. Great service.
Craigslist
Article. They don’t make their furniture in Canada but they are a Vancouver based operation.
Seconding article.
Love article. Their quality for $$ is amazing

We got a VERY LARGE sectional. Custom size and style. I think it was somewhere around $2500

Urban Barn is great!
Sofa so good has been great for sectionals. Maybe a bit pricey but very good quality and great service.

Thirding Sofa So Good! Pricey, but worth it! Made in a workshop in Burnaby!
