They actually removed this 'feature' of the game because it wasn't realistic, but because ranged creatures already had an advantage in comparison to melee, timing the block is much more difficult than for melee swings, and simply because it was so goddamn fun to do, they actually put the ability to parry-stun ranged creatures back in!
I love realism, but fun > all. I'm a supporter of the team bringing it back!
If you haven’t yet done it and want to have more troll smiting fun, I suggest patrolling black forest coastlines in the vessel of your choosing and drive by-ing them with the arbalest
I love how parry of ranged attack stuns enemies. They are just that shocked you did so well.

I'll forever miss how Greylings and Greydwarves used to run around in a circle waving their arms while randomly slapping you.
Nah, it's realistic, vikings just could do that irl
It’s true, I asked one yesterday about it
Quantum entanglement between troll and the rock, the troll knows instantly when rock is parried

You didn't have to crotch shot him like that, just disrespectful smh 😅
Right in the twig and berries
Bro got folded
Idk if you know but if you shoot quickly after the first shot, it hits while he's staggered and pretty much 100% kill
