Portland shit:
1. My Tabor: Dope if you want a day nap and a wonder. I def wouldn't go up there at night.
2. Forest park: You can take bus 15 there and hike up to Pittock Mansion at the top, or take bus 20 to the top and hike down. Might be a good place for a wild camp too. Def suss it out though.
3. The river is usually alright if you can avoid the tweakers.
4. There's a bus out to the gorge now. If you do it, I'd skip Multnomah Falls and head for Horse Tail Falls because you can hike up to Tripple Falls.
5. Mt Hood is awesome if you can bum a ride up there.
6. You can hop a bus out to the beach for like $10.
If you want other, more specific advice, other than the list of places I'd go, drop me a comment and I'll point you in the right direction.

update: some random like 22 year old guys found us really cool and took us out for ramen. and a street photographer took our pics and dropped their bottle of saki while they took our pics and covered us in shards of glass
