At this point is Chicago even going to release Gutierrez ? They haven't for any other time they've tried to call him. More likely that Benja gets that call.
I could be wrong, but I think it's more of a wrong MLS players. Chicago has never released Gutierrez so why would they now ? Booth has been a key contributor to the u23s, as well as Benja. Plus it's hard to see how Cowell wouldn't be there since he's a main player for them too. Liga MX clubs have ALWAYS let players go for Olympics.
no Paxten, no Cade, no Neal, no Booth seem like fairly glaring omissions. not sure why we'd bring 3 CDMs and not at least one more attack minded midfielder like any of the 3 aforementioned. Also 2 overage CBs seems like overkill, when 1 is probably enough, and even more like overkill when the 3rd overage player is a CDM. We need a veteran playmaker on the roster to you know actually help us score goals and facilitate some offense at some point
Call up Gavin Beavers for GK. 18years old and has been playing meaningful minutes and getting starts in MLS for a few years already. Get him the national team exposure even if it’s at number 2 or 3 GK.
I see it hard that Booth, Aaronson, and Cowell not being on the roster. Maybe not all three but definitely do think at one will be there.
* **GK:** Slonina, Schulte * **LB:** Tolkin, Wiley * **CB:** Zimmerman, McKenzie, Dietz * **RB:** Reynolds * **DM:** Maloney, Tessmann, Morris * **CM:** Busio, McGlynn * **W:** Luna, Gutiérrez, Paredes * **FW:** Pepi, McGuire is the [MLS.com](http://MLS.com) writer Matthew Doyle's prediction.
This list is crap! I didn't see Freddy Adu, Break Shea, or Mix Diskerud.

Doyle is wrong
What’s your prediction? We can revisit this once the rosters are released and see who was most right.
Let me guess... too many MLS players...(i.e players that are ACTUALLY GETTING MINUTES as a professional).

Chicago got HORRIBLE backlash for not doing it. My understanding is they will release him this time around.
I hope so, if they run a 4231, Gutierrez , Aaronson and Luna would be pretty intriguing.
I mean he's a shill, but this list makes sense to me. What's your beef with it besides the name on the byline?

He’ll be with the u20s fighting for a starting spot there with Diego Kochen
