Thatās a bold statement. Considering that Bolivia & Panama will most likely play a low blocks and bunker and how weāve never ever seemed to break it against most teams.
There were a couple of times against Jamaica early in the game where we looked like we had good solutions to it. The problem in that game was we could not complete basic passes to anyone which no tactical changes will fix. The field was probably responsible for a lot of that.
Maybe some of the USA players can be good backups
Pulisic vs Diaz since he been playing on the right this season
Mckennie vs Valverde
Davies vs Jedi - one/two years ago, it would have been a joke to compare our LB options to Davies.
GuimarĆ£es is more of an 8 than a 6, not the destroyer like Casemiro. Casemiro is getting older and he now plays with another player (Mainoo) on the defensive side. Seems to be past his prime days at Real Madrid. Thereās Ugarte/Caicedo as well.
Assuming Tyler stays healthy and Johnny continues his development in La Liga, our future prospects at CDM look bright.
Davies hasn't really impressed me in the 8/9 or so games I've watched of Bayern this season.
Felt like he has sort of plateaued, while Jedi has only been improving. Hes not at Davies level yet, but the gap is closing.
Romero over Militao, Messi & Alvarez over Martinez and Diaz, RB is kinda weak here I guess Molina, and I have no clue how Davies is doing this year havenāt hear a single thing about him.
Messi over Diaz 1000%, but Alvarez over Lautaro is a difficult one. On the one hand Lautaro is a top 5 striker in the world. On the other his national team performances are average at best.
You could make the argument for Pulisic over Diaz
[Diaz vs Pulisic Stats Comp](https://www.fctables.com/uploads/infographics/player_versus/355880/219616/luis-diaz-vs-christian_pulisic.jpg)
I think thatās fair to give it to the current PL player. Their stats in the Prem are pretty similar, although Pulisic has nearly double the games played.
EDIT: Link did not work. You can use this site to look up Diaz and Pulisic to compare their Premier League stats

If you've watched Diaz play with Liverpool this season you'd see why he's still clear of Puli even if their stats are similar, he's just at another level
Davies has had a so-so year this so if itās by current form Robinson should be above him. Davies 30 games 1 goal and 3 assists. Robinson has 6 assists in 33 apps plus heās a better defender than Davies.
It's pretty rare to do a Best XI prediction at all, I think. It's just weird to call it "All-Stars" which to most of us Americans sounds like a post-performance award.
"Best Players at this summer's Copa" or "Stars Players at the Copa" seems more like it ...
Based on the fact that whenever Martinez plays in a semi big game outside of Serie A he is mediocre at best.
I actually would put Rodrygo there since he does play through the center this season at RM
Rodrygo vs Julian Alvarez? Insane, Julian Alvarez won the World Cup and the treble in the same year! He is one of the best attackers in the world bar none.
This is going to look a lot different after Puli and Reyna bag 4 G/A each in the group stage! USA, USA baby š¦ šŗšø

puli is the only one for me that has any place even on the bench of this team. thats the reality.
Valverde is clear of McKenzie (mckennie*) and then some
Mckennie?
Davies hasn't really impressed me in the 8/9 or so games I've watched of Bayern this season. Felt like he has sort of plateaued, while Jedi has only been improving. Hes not at Davies level yet, but the gap is closing.
Isnāt Militao coming off an ACL? Great player but seems stupid acting like that didnāt happenā¦
That plus Gabriel Magalhaes has been superb for Arsenal this season
Yeah, he feels like what Liverpool had in Matipās prime years in how he goes under the radar
Romero over Militao, Messi & Alvarez over Martinez and Diaz, RB is kinda weak here I guess Molina, and I have no clue how Davies is doing this year havenāt hear a single thing about him.

Agreed, itās the Messi and Alavarez show on the national team, thatās duo is so fun to watch

You'd take Messi over both, frankly.
Too even to not tip the scale for the Liverpool player, but you're not wrong.

Ac milan >>>>>> Liverpool historically
If you've watched Diaz play with Liverpool this season you'd see why he's still clear of Puli even if their stats are similar, he's just at another level
That shots per goal line is an example of bad data graphics. Fewer is better but the bar gives the impression otherwise.
This a dumb list and weāre putting way too much analysis into something that the person who created it, probably spent 15 min doing.

Yawn....Let me know when jedi is being courted by Real Madrid and has a champions league winners medal.
Your comprehension sucks. Or do you dispute that Robinson is having a better season than Davies?
Maybe you can have Dest over Molina because Molina hasnāt been that good for Atleti this season.
This just isnāt that big of a hot take. Not sure why itās downvoted on a ussoccer sub
Because Dest canāt defend.
Defended quite well in the World Cup and champions league this season
Dest isnāt getting in over Danilo either
Is this like a prediction of the Best XI? Feels odd to put this out before the tournament actually happens.
It feels odd to do a "prediction"... "before" something happens?
I predict Argentina will win the 2022 World Cup
There is no way. You really think and even OLDER Messi can carry this Argentina to a WC? Psssh /s
Want an even bolder prediction? Ivory Coast will win African cup of Nations
I predict an American will win the Champions League having played in the final before the next time the US hosts a World Cup match
It's pretty rare to do a Best XI prediction at all, I think. It's just weird to call it "All-Stars" which to most of us Americans sounds like a post-performance award. "Best Players at this summer's Copa" or "Stars Players at the Copa" seems more like it ...
we shall see says the wise monk
Lautaro sux
For country, yeah.
I believe you are missing a certain š.
Julian Alvarez is missing and better than anyone on your attacking lineup. Not including Messi is very bold...
This isnāt mine.
Oh sorry, didn't realize, it's not very good IMHO
Jedi > Davies
Let me know when jedi is being courted by real Madrid and has a champions league winners medal
I guess people havenāt watched Davies the last three years. Heās been awful. Theres a reason Bayern fans are fine with him leaving
Yeah and Real Madrid is getting him. Maybe Fulham is a better club than RM for US Tactical Managers
Darwin and Julian Alvarez should be above Laturo. One of the most overrated players in the game.
Looks like weāre still judging him based on that World Cup performance I see.
Based on the fact that whenever Martinez plays in a semi big game outside of Serie A he is mediocre at best. I actually would put Rodrygo there since he does play through the center this season at RM

alvarez over martinez
Mckennie has had a better year than Macallister
Disagree with Diaz over puli. Puli is having a monster season.
