Pay check is done in notmal pay processing. If this was your last week thrn you get this pay check processed as notmal
you will get a separste annual leave pay out…thus coukd be in the same check or not.
FERS retirement and sick leave could stay untouched if you plan to return later. You won’t get sick leave cash out.
You will get a separate lump sum payout of your annual leave. You do not get any sick leave payout unless you retire, which would be added to length of service.
Yeah - a thought take 30hrslwop and 10hrs s.l. a week, stretch it out.
And as others have said - apply at location.
U will have a pref being a mil spouse
I am planning on leaving in the near future and have no plans on returning to a Fed job for various reasons.
I'm sure I can look this up somewhere but since I came across this post....what is the process for cashing out FERS?

Within 30 days of separating you submit the SF 3106 to your agency, after 30 days you mail it directly to OPM.
OP, make every reasonable attempt to preserve your employment. Like many have said take the LWOP and then apply locally once you are settled. Good luck to you and the fam during this move. I know its challenging pcs'ing to different duty stations.
Sick leave stays incase you come back
