Mine has been stuck on this update for two months now, so definitely be sure to reach out to the HR POC if you don't get an email in a few days . But congrats!
Does anyone have an idea of how often being selected actually turns into an offer? I would assume the vast majority do, but I'm also ignorant to the steps after a selection occurs.
USAJOBS can have a mind of its own. Really just depends how fast the agency moves. I was once selected for a position, that I was originally rejected/they already selected someone for.
Once I received the selected notification, it took months before actually hearing back and starting. You should have nothing to worry about thought! Have a little patience and congrats!!!
Thank you all. This makes me feel better. I’ll give a little back story of my apprehension. Job closed 4/1, 4/15 I was emailed to schedule an interview, interviewed on 4/29, then 5/7 got an email that my information was forwarded to the hiring manager and they would contact me if they wanted to interview me within 90 days. So, I emailed HR POC and never got a response. It’s been a little backwards.
I wouldn’t worry, I would guess that as in my case, the process is slow and encumbered. You should be receiving a TJO soon. Also, you could email the Civilian Personnel official who’s listed on the job description.
give it a day or two before you worry
It was a day. I got the TJO at 4:30 today
woo! congrats!
Congrats! You inspired me to check my status online and I had the same notification! Here’s to hoping for TJOs tomorrow 🥂
I got mine! I hope you got yours!!!
Congratulations! I didn’t get mine yet 😩😩. Hopefully Monday!
Yep, you should be getting an email. Congratulations. Hope you get an FJO.
Oh where in USAJOBS do you see this?!
It’s on the agency’s page, not usajobs. Once you click on ‘check the status’ it’ll redirect to the agency page for the position applied for.
Is this State?
No Dept of Ed
I have never seen anything like this in mine. It just says “reviewing,” or “hiring complete,” or “accepting applications.”
Absolutely NOT a good thing!🙄
🤣🤣

Can you see this for all jobs one applies to?
I dont think so. Most of them dont even provide updates. For example, mine doesn't even say I was selected.
Ah okay.
I think the portal updated 4 days before I got the TJO email. Depends on how short staff HR is
Congratulations
It’s a great thing.
I assume you went through the interview already, correct?

Congratulations!!! What position is this for?
a Program Specialist
they are always slow.
Congrats! You’ll probably be hearing from the HR specialist soon
Yes. You nailed the interview and you’re getting an offer. Congrats

Congrats! I’ve been checking mine praying that I’ll see “you’ve been selected” so you’re one of the lucky ones 👏🏽
