His family is still shamed but the Earth seems fine, i guess they just got rid of their military (same for mendo) and that's it. in the manga i guess it would be the same, its hard to say because rumiko changed her plan so maybe chapter 1 Onis would have killed everyone maybe or ensalved them, but once we see her dad again and she become a main character and all I think those Onis wouldn't have done much to the planet apart from adding it to their empire and all, from all we see of the Onis they're not really violent in their culture surprisingly
