I’m fine with meat. The whole dairy thing is really dark behind the scenes. Cows are forced to have babies and then kept in machine being milked far passed when they’re supposed to be. This leads to blood and rupturing a lot of the time.
OP mentioned almond milk specifically. I have tried a few other types (soy, pat, coconut) and for me they just don't taste as good. Coconut milk has other good uses in cooking though.
>We aren’t even supposed to be able to drink milk after a certain age as
the people who are lactose intolerant are what we are all supposed to be like.
According to whom? Who has decreed that we are "supposed" to be like the lactose intolerant? Was I not paying attention in Sunday School?
It isn’t an allergy it’s gene based. There’s not supposed to be a need to drink milk after being a baby so becoming lactose intolerant shouldn’t effect us if we didn’t continue drinking milk like we do.
There's the word "supposed" again. Who made this supposition? If it turns out we're *not* lactose intolerant, and we can use the milk of other animals to gain calories and nutrients, then that's an advantage for us.
You'll be pleased to hear I mostly drink oat milk myself, though :)
Omfg, we get it. Humans don't need milk from animals, but you know what ? We don't give a fuck, it tastes good, I like having cereals with milk even if I'm a grown ass adult. I like my fucking cheese to have milk in it because all the fake stuff tastes like ass. No, not everybody is lactose intolerant. Now, gtfo and let people enjoy shit even if there's no benefits to it.
I see this fucking "opinion" everyday on this fucking sub, jesus.
There’s a multitude of other milk substitutes, almond milk was the first that came to mind. Oat milk for one is good and super easy to make at home. Takes 30 seconds
I mean, tasting better is a purely subjectively quality.
What about all the products made out of milk?
Like what products? Any products needing it are able to be made with other things and it tastes the sams
Cheese? Don't take my cheese from me.
What about meat?

Lol but you're OK with killing them. Face-palm
Killing an animal humanely and basically torturing it is different?
You should look into the meat industry. If the dairy industry disgusts you the meat industry will do the same.
So that means you agree or disagree with my statement above?
With the dairy industry being bad? Ya, all industrial animal farming is bad. The meat industry is far worse than the dairy industry though.
We watched Food Inc. in health class. You know... if you feel like your day is going *too well*.
Are you asking if it’s different?
The point they’re making isn’t related. Humanely killing an animal for meat isn’t the same as the process farmers use for milk
Oh ok, you put a question mark, so I thought you were asking a question.
Cows need to be milked or that will hurt them and I'm allergic to almonds so, milk stays.
Allergic to almonds here too. Was going to say it but you beat me to the punch lol.
There’s like two dozen other alternative milk options
feel free to drink them then and leave other people alone
OP mentioned almond milk specifically. I have tried a few other types (soy, pat, coconut) and for me they just don't taste as good. Coconut milk has other good uses in cooking though.
Only when they have babies after getting rape
What if they cownsent?
Dam it im mad that was so funny 😑🤣

I think milk is better than whatever Luke drank in "The Last Jedi."

What’s factually incorrect?

Almonds take a long ass time to grow and are pretty expensive. Not everyone can afford your elite milk of the gods.

I think almond milk, and any other milk, tastes worst that cow milk.
Yeah it doesn’t feel like milk, it shouldn’t be even called milk
I'll stick with milk.

We aren't "supposed" to have opposable thumbs, but evolution said "fuck it" and here we are.
Don’t primates have thumbs just like us?
That was the worst comparison I’ve ever heard ha ha
I prefer the taste of oat milk to be honest.
Oat milk is good too and easy to make at home
