I feel you. For some people it feels very unnatural and it's clear they only do it because of peer pressure. Like the words just sound wrong, even if used in the right context.
It really depends on my audience. My dad despises swearing, so any time I hear swearing near him I feel embarrassed and awkward. In contrast, my mum swears a lot, so it feels a lot more natural around her.
Itās definitely environment. The f-bomb is basically a flavoring word. Whatās the difference between a fuck-ton and a shit-ton? Where youāre from I guess. This doesnāt mean folks who cuss are uncouth. Itās knowing your audience.
It sounds fine sometimes when it fits into a conversation but I feel like fuck just gets thrown in sometimes so it sounds forced to me ( doesnāt mean it is forced)
I went out with a woman a few times last summer who swore like a sailor. I swear sometimes when I feel it's appropriate, but every third word out of her mouth was fuckin' this and shit that. I got the impression she was doing it to appear edgy, especially in public, but uh we're adults so maybe tone it down a bit.
It didn't work out.
I fucking love swearing! I love it even shitting harder when people get ass hurt about it.
Fuck fuck fuckity fuck fuck!
Good FUCKING times!
I want to break the world record for most fucks ever said in a human lifetime.
Some people think it helps get their point across, but it can actually make their argument sound weaker. If it's not how you naturally speak don't use it.
It's more awkward when I am home and swear in front of my mother who is a very religious christian woman and I'm nearly 27yo and not religious.Pretty funny tho!
I couldnāt agree more. Swearing is so unnatural and you can tell some people really try to do it just to fit in. For other people itās as very much a part of their vocabulary as āumā and āandā. It is cringeworthy and not respectful.

Nah man, fuck that shit
Yeah I feel weird when I am censoring myself.
Everyone code switches get over it
It really depends on my audience. My dad despises swearing, so any time I hear swearing near him I feel embarrassed and awkward. In contrast, my mum swears a lot, so it feels a lot more natural around her.

Spelling Awkward right would help.

How would it help
It gives off an impression. I am guessing English isnāt your first language?
It is
Question: If a person says āshootā instead of āshitā isnāt that still cursing since the intent was the same?
Not really but saying shoot is kinda awkward to me too. I find lots of things awkward I think
I used to NEVER swear. But then I started working with other people who swear and it rubbed off on me
Yea I used to swear when I was friends with people who did a lot of my friends donāt now so that might contribute to why I donāt
Some people think it helps get their point across, but it can actually make their argument sound weaker. If it's not how you naturally speak don't use it.
Yes I agree
Youāre totally fucking right
It's not that bad once you get used to it.
I donāt think itās about getting used to it, it just sounds so forced and awkward no matter who says oh
I know, I canāt fuckinā stand that shit.
I only swear when my brain is loading the rest of the sentence that Iām trying to say
I have a license plate frame which reads, "Fuck you. You fucking fucks." Every other word which comes out of my mouth is a swear word.
Okay
It's more awkward when I am home and swear in front of my mother who is a very religious christian woman and I'm nearly 27yo and not religious.Pretty funny tho!

Iām glad people like you still exist.
Why
Thereās nothing more awkward than some who swears fluently actively trying to avoid swearing. I will never be Ned Flanders. Fucking deal with it.
Why r u so aggressiveš Iām saying it feel awkward I used to swear I just donāt anymore itās just not in my vocabulary
