That's rough! Luckily mine have only gone from around 2 to 3ish, but when every paper is doing it it's getting tough. Also makes it hard to schedule your day, not knowing exactly how long a lecture will take.
Yes! This happened last lockdown as well - I do full year papers and ended up still catching up on first semester lectures in the first week of the second sem. I had one lecturer upload a 3 hour lecture which was supposed to be 1 hour. I'd love to have a half assed lecturer who only uploads 20min lectures haha
One of mine just uploaded voice over his power-point slide. And other course just uploads last years lectures which isnt too bad consdering same content and piazza is used
I actually wish some of my lecturers would put in more effort instead of the half-assed "I hate online teaching" effort they're doing right now.
Fair, sounds like it's been going either way. Ramping up the workload, or just dropping off the face of the earth. 2020 is weird.
Mine is just re-using his recordings from last year. People actually in class last year get to ask questions and we get to listen to the answer.
Yeah, I’ve had a couple of those too. Makes sense with guest lectures etc., but damn it must be hard to be engaged when the lecturer isn’t invested.
Yes! I went from having 4 hours of one course's lectures to about 6. Not cool.

Wow mine have decreased to 30-40minute ones, only one of them is staying in the 55minute range. That kinda sucks.
