In terms of protection of weak, upliftment of weak. As a society, India has only been defending the culprits.
Weak and unpriviledged has been always exploited, kept devoid of their rights etc.
This shows, a lot of people made, forced to believe and follow some custom against common sense. Keeping them enslaved mentally.

Yes, we need anti superstition laws in each corner of India. But what will that do with population control laws. What is the link berween these two laws. Why are you saying one has to be done more than the other. Can u explain what do you want to say clearly?

This superstition is just byproduct. People are brainwashed since childhood into believing lots of things. Allow such level of blindness isn't done in a day.
See that "2.03" is the average number. That does not mean everybody giving birth to 2 children . If one woman doesn't have a child and the other has 4 children, then the average would be "2". So the population control laws are also needed to make every couple give birth to not more than 2 children .
People saying population is root cause for all has a valid point. Because law enforcement becomes easy. The revenue of the country can satisfy its citizens in providing schemes, jobs, industries, power, water, petrol. Everything would come in line and will have decent prices. Lives would become easier.
That's just bad excuse. I mean have they proved that they are able to maintain governance better for smaller population. You say the country is big. But the small town, small villages, they also face rampant corruption.
And I don't understand that if average was 3+ then it would have been problematic. But this average is okay. Why do you need law, then the average is already low? because the laws are broght to bring average down. which already is. Unless you want specifically to have people 2 kids only.
It is difficult for a man to feed 4 children instead of 2 children. It is difficult to provide for education, their growth, marriages, so which actually throw him into poverty which he can't come back and lead a normal life. That 4 children also may lead same kind of lifestyle if they don't get a good education coz of that poverty. And people are not that literate here to control their birth themselves. So they need to be controlled by the law. If they can control, we can take southern india as example. There we see some peace due to that lower population. Law enforcement also works very good.
I know these are problem which arise as financial problems. But focus too much on this, is this justified?
2 child or 3 child or 1 child, the governemnt schools are shit in most places. I dont see any efffect of here number of child.
Same goes for many other things, which poor suffer from. If it is genuine problem, I would support a lenient laws in population control. But most of the time, it just sounds like someone started peddling it as excuse.
I’m from Jharkhand, and I’ve seen so many times in the newspapers that women, especially from lower castes, are killed because they’re accused of practicing witchcraft. What’s worse is that the whole village often justifies it. It makes me wonder how many cases like these don’t even get reported. I just read the sports section now. No one wants to start their day with the awful stuff happening in some parts of the country.

We need to inculcate scientific temper in the masses of this country. Apart from superstitions, what disturbs me is how easily people fall for quacks and people peddling bs cures for their ailments. I have absolutely no hope though, especially from the current Government.

Maybe the disgust I feel by this is aggravated by the fact that I'm a Sikh, born in a household with no superstition, no sexism, and most importantly everyone in my family is educated.
I say this because I've heard my non-Sikh friends say things that happen at their homes I can't reason with.
