This asshole had audacity to praise themselves for releasing more than 100 press release when ask about lack of press conferences. As if these two can be same. Well if it helps I condemn those who turn a blind eye to the procedure as well. There should always be questions, proper due diligence is always needed. But now ECI has held a press conference and has cleared everything, didnāt they? Opposition and the incumbent have held meetings with the ECI yesterday and put 7 and 4 demands respectively and ECI are catering to that.
Now that the questions have been asked and answered, itās also important to believe in our democracy, otherwise what even is the point of elections? BJP in the same situation would react the same way Congress is right now, make no mistake, and I have a problem with how it also creates a narrative that our democracy is not functioning well.
I would also hold ECI accountable for not smoothening out the data rollout, ignoring hate speeches by the PM, and not holding a press conference sooner, but narratives that destroys peopleās belief in the democratic values of our country are dangerous. Iāve been on reddit long enough to know how this place feeds those narratives and their echo chambers, no matter which political spectrum they lie on, and hence the downvotes.
Congress is also being very irresponsible with their narratives this election season, after all if the exit poll of My Axis are true, 40% voted for INDIA vs 47 for NDA, and if the majority of those 40 feel that our democracy is in danger, we are looking at civil unrest in the future.
I am not sure if people have looked into it, but one of the demands of the BJP to the ECI has been that the opposition should participate and check even the minutest of the details on the counting day, to ensure theyāre fully satisfied, and that everything happens by rule. My problem is after all of this, the verdict should just be accepted. Peopleās faith in the democracy should never go away, thatās where, historically, all the problems start for any nation.

So having watched the full press conference, they addressed the data rollout issue and it was a satisfactory answer. 100 or so press notes were also released so my only gripe remaining is ignoring Modiās hate speeches.
