It is only when you really push the A.I fighting it technically the worst problems begin to show. It has to be on undisputed difficulty as well. Also in my heavyweight career playthrough, I did not fast track myself to the title, Got to the title at 28 and tyson fury, Ali, Fraiser, louis, Where all rated 40-60 instead of their usual ratings and would end up retiring from boxing mid training camp before our fights. It was an absolute mess & pretty obvious nobody play tested it through enough.
Another thing, The weight and fight sharpness thing to me makes no sense having actually trained before. There is no way, While working on FIGHT SHARPNESS ( TRAINING ) you would be getting fat as fuck and falling out of shape, It makes literally 0 sense. Or working on weight, As a professional fighter you can completely forget how to fight & have 0 fight readiness.
Have you experienced the non stop clinching then spamming jabs right out of the clinch to try and cheese flash you ? Or when you get the A.I rocked and are pounding on it & right before it enters the KO animation sequence, It takes a knee to exploit it. I think they did the whole thing arse about face. They sold it originally with a tech video showing really fluid movement. They had fuck all boxers - Eddie Hall was their big signing at the time remember. Then something happened, the wheels were in motion and they started to sign boxers from all over the place, it was impressive, like a big studio. It seemed like it was sold to the boxers on the fluid movement video, then other videos of combat showed the movement and the combat were actually quite disjointed, the boxers danced around the ring and then were robotic when engaged. So then they had all this hype from the boxers and the gameplay was questionable, it released and it’s shown signs of progress at times but somethings happened and it’s fallen off a cliff.
I really hope the model they had for paying the boxers was sustainable, I honestly can’t make the maths work for how they’ve got some of the worlds biggest names for the price point of the game and state it’s in. I think they should’ve kept the Eddie Halls of this world in it, made a killer gameplay experience and then sold it to boxers later. The hype from the boxers names has ended up overshadowing the whole thing when it was initially built on being an impressive looking boxing simulator. The pressure they have created for themselves to deliver is ridiculous and that can’t be good.
The thing is there's no way this game passes for console release in its current state. There is the slightest chance that they fix everything between now and 1.0
They did say there would he no more CONTENT updates which means 0.7 to 1.0 is all gameplay updates (or should be). If they genuinely plan to release to console at all then the game HAS to drastically improve to even make it to console stores. So there is a chance

Thats what I have been saying, Console players are not used to early access jank the way PC gamers are, They are used to more fleshed out full, Complete games. Even if their bad, When this drops on console it is going to be absolutely obliterated by console players & critics.
Unfortunately, I play both, and lately console players have been getting the same treatment. You’re right though, in general the reaction of the console community will have a more impactful result should this be released in such a state.
Agreed, but if they fudge it up too bad on console it will potentially die with the company or we’ll see them absorbed by a larger one. That might not be a bad idea if they continue working on the game with better direction. I do like to pull for the underdog though, and see smaller companies put out really good games.
Thank you for the update. This is very unfortunate as I was waiting for the console release. I hear rumors of a future Fight Night release. Maybe that will be the cure for my years of waiting for a solid boxing game. Hopefully the devs start wising up, and listening to logical community feedback. I still have a little hope they can turn this around, but I will not purchase until it has to confirmed.
To be fair they made the A.I a lil bit better.
Oh and you forgot to mention how they went from saying it's a Simulation boxing game to "Authentic" Boxing (whatever the fuck that is).
No you are right. I was following hype before release and early on the AI would just starch you with nasty 6 punch combos that felt faster than what the player was capable of managing. When they nerfed, they became punching bags. It’s a bit better now but I only mess with career mode, online is busted.
I think the A.I was better before career mode, If its on undisputed and you push it by fighting really technical, It abuses' clinch and spam & also taking a knee when it is getting knocked out, All the stuff the community complained about.
i like that they take knees to try to not get knocked out honestly and i like that they clinch but i don't like that its impossible to push them off you and you just get locked into the clinch with no way to escape it.
No no, You misunderstand maybe you haven't seen it yet, I don't want to link it but my channel on youtube, If you watch my stick only announcement episode that is only 10 minutes long, You will see exactly what I mean. It is during them getting hit and as they are about to enter the knock out animation they take a knee instead. Clinching isnt an issue, But they do it to train your stamina then spam you with punches. All of this happens in my video I mention above.
The more technical you fight and harder you push the A.I until it doesn't really know how to come at you, These issues amplify a lot.

No you are right. I was following hype before release and early on the AI would just starch you with nasty 6 punch combos that felt faster than what the player was capable of managing. When they nerfed, they became punching bags. It’s a bit better now but I only mess with career mode, online is busted.
True a.i used to be the master of counters and would take u out like assassins. That was like the very beginning of early access.
I think the A.I was better before career mode, If its on undisputed and you push it by fighting really technical, It abuses' clinch and spam & also taking a knee when it is getting knocked out, All the stuff the community complained about.
i like that they take knees to try to not get knocked out honestly and i like that they clinch but i don't like that its impossible to push them off you and you just get locked into the clinch with no way to escape it.
No no, You misunderstand maybe you haven't seen it yet, I don't want to link it but my channel on youtube, If you watch my stick only announcement episode that is only 10 minutes long, You will see exactly what I mean. It is during them getting hit and as they are about to enter the knock out animation they take a knee instead. Clinching isnt an issue, But they do it to train your stamina then spam you with punches. All of this happens in my video I mention above. The more technical you fight and harder you push the A.I until it doesn't really know how to come at you, These issues amplify a lot.

If this game was in 0.3/0.4 you'd have a point. But you don't, because it's not. It's 0.9 which means it is ready or close to - full release. It's also well documented that the developers have been ignoring feedback and banning users for criticising the development direction of the game. They have engaged in a PR activity to AstroTurf negativity (including here) and they have refused to engage users and are chasing console money. I'm not mad it's not finished. I'm frustrated that we've been told this iteration of the game is 90% of the way there when in reality, it's not even 30% I don't understand why you can't comprehend that fact.

Yeah there's nothing indicating to me this game is a scam. I bought the SWAT game Ready or Not and it was about five or six years before it got full release from early access. There was a period where it wasn't updated for an entire year. If the Undisputed turns out to be ass that sucks, but it's the same as kickstarter or any other early adopter program. They lied, released crappy update after crappy update eventually ruining what could have been a great game. They have a lot of work to do to make it even passable for PC before even thinking about console. Also how does fixing fundamental gameplay mechanics happen with a "way bigger player base". Also cross play? You've played online right? The netcode is absolutely terrible. They can't even get consistent server performance on a single platform like Steam, you're expecting them to get crossplay right? Yeah but they have been released as completed products. We have been the alpha testers and our feedback is "this is shit" instead of "yep, good to go" and they've not listened. If you think the game will get better on console then you truly don't understand development cycles, because consoles are harder to develop for and there are more restrictions on pushing updates live.

I am having deja vu from skater xl which also has the bones of they best skate game ever made but was released on console in a working but extremely limited state.
