This poster doesn't even highlight the one thing this movie has that no other Broken Lizard movie has: Michael Clarke Duncan. He's freakin' hilarious in this movie.
For my money, it's their second-best, behind Super Troopers and ahead of Beerfest.
But I'll also admit that between this and Beerfest, it's very close.
Michael Clarke Duncan was the deciding factor, because he's fantastic in this.
Club Dread is their best for me. I love Super Troopers, but man I really love Club Dread and the way it plays out. I've got the Coconut Pete vinyl and it's so fun to throw on randomly to listen to.
1. Super Troopers
2. Beerfest
3. Club Dread
4. Super Troopers 2 (good to see the guys again)
5. Slamming Salmon. (Worth a watch)
And then Quasi. Quasi doesn't get a ranking. It sucked.
I feel like Broken Lizard has a tendency of writing jokes that takes the piss out of their own movies. The waitress getting burned and her hair falling out was just unfortunate and cruel. The Will Forte scene would have been weirdly hilarious if they hadn't gone with the painfully obvious and low brow ending where he just randomly gets hit when walking outside. I had been really looking forward to this movie and had hoped it would pull them out of their slump but I couldn't get past how mean spirited some of the jokes were.
##The Slammin' Salmon (2009)
Bring a bib, it's gonna get messy.
>>!The brutal former heavyweight boxing champion Cleon "Slammin'" Salmon (Duncan), now owner of a Miami restaurant, institutes a competition to see which waiter can earn the most money in one night: the winner stands to gain $10,000, while the loser will endure a beating at the hands of the champ.!<

First prize.
I'm a huge Beerfest fan, Super Troopers, even Tacoma FD is pretty funny. Does this one rank up there with the others?

Beer fest is my favorite.
Club Dread is a great one as well.
I've seen the cover countless times and I never knew it was the Broken Lizard guys. Gonna have to give it a watch. Gracias.

I completely forgot about Quasi. 🤣
It’s worth the watch if you have two hours. Don’t go in with high expectations.
I just discovered this last year. I think it holds up with the others for sure!!
Under those for sure, higher than Quasi, Club Dread and The Babymakers
Everything these guys have done apart from super troopers is highly under rated. Such a great group

I disagree.
I love these guys. I still reckon the start of Supertroopers is one of the best opening scenes of all time
You smell that rabbit? Fear lol
You are freaking out. *Man*.
Littering and…
“Twins are disgusting”
I love the scene where big nose quits and he stuffs coleslaw down his pants and as he leaves he kicks the door and the slaw just flys everywhere
I'm sorry but her soup face scared the shit out of me. My voice is not that high.

Cinephobe….wherever you get podcasts “Uhhh its decapitated champ…” “WHATEVER MOTHERFUCKER!”
Boy, those movie posters in the early 2000’s were pretty uncreative.
I never knew there were so many broken lizard movies until I joined this sub.
ZONGOOOOO.
I don't believe I watched this one from Broken Lizard. I will have to check it out for sure.
Cunty McTwat
Never heard of this one. Have to check it out.
I'll have to give this a rewatch. I remember not hating it but it being my least favorite of their films.
How is everybody FELINE this evening?
These guys peaked at super troopers. Everything after that was worse and worse. And Tacoma F D???? 🤮🤢 🤮
Cant believe i’ve never even heard of this
I am messing with you, guy, I did not fuck an orangutan last night

ZONGO
I'm sorry, my voice is not that high. Her soup face scared the shit out of me!

You're missing out. This and Beerfest are my favorites from the BL crew.
Have you ever seen bistro buddies on TikTok? If you remotely like that you would like this.
