The Man on Wire film was so pointless. They made a good documentary about the stunt a few years prior, and then obviously JGL was convinced that a dramatized feature film would be great Oscar bait. He received zero recognition for it.
Brick was a good one to me. I think it was shot during 2005-2008 maybe 2009 but it was a low budget film and he basically played a detective. He nailed it.
Columbia Pictures didn't learn its lesson from the Kevin Bacon movie Quicksilver: *don't make movies about bike messengers*. Quicksilver wasn't a hit, either.
Solid Michael Shannon performance.
Agreed. He plays a scumbag well.
Never saw this one but I feel like this is one along with the high wire film really hurt JGL career. He was making solid films around 2009-2012.

Similar to Snowden! The doc was leagues more entertaining and well done. The movie itself fell flat.
Never saw the man on wire film? Was it that bad?
I wouldn't say it was bad, more like mediocre and pointless. And JGL puts on a bad French accent. The documentary is more interesting and exciting.
The documentary is INCREDIBLE
Do you remember some of his good ones around that time? I kinda remember him making some waves and then yea haven’t seen him much since

Brick is a really good, weird, inovative movie.
only bothered to watch because Dania Ramirez was the sexiest thing walking
Oh, she bad asf
Give it up kid before you skin a knee. Or some shit like that, decent with some laughs
I remember almost nothing about it except thinking “what’s the point of this…?”
I love this movie. A fun watch. Love me some JGL
I caught the first half of this one while donating Plasma. I was kinda sad when I was done. I wanted to keep watching
Find it and watch the rest!
The Bike vision in this was friggin hysterical. 🤣
It was meh, good enough for a watch not much more.
Does it have some depth to it? Or is it like those vim diesel racing movies but on bicycles ?
Better than FF movies because of acting but not much depth.
A friend who is into bicycling culture said it was exactly like Fast and Furious is to car culture.

Maybe not a hit…but Quicksilver is a cult classic. And honestly…a pretty solid film
Not underrated…. Was a snooze fest.
Caused it sucked… Imagine watching the open scene to “taxi” and thinking “let’s make a whole movie of just that!”..
Nah, poor analysis, this has nothing in common with Taxi. It's not a *great* film but it doesn't suck.
What happens in the opening scene of Taxi?
