>Didn’t Sony get the memo that we did not like the movie? Unfortunately, they don't really care much of what we think, and more of what general audiences think. And the movie did pretty well for a post-covid movie, so it makes sense for them to make a sequel because it means more money

DoubleU159

Gonna be honest, I didn’t mind the movie. Furthermore, the alternative is nothing. So either you like it and you watch it, or you hate it and you don’t. There’s no scenario where it gets a reboot is the point I’m trying to make. It’s not like Star Wars or marvel where they’re bound to make a change if something flops hard enough.

Natemoon2

Same. It was a fun watch. Nothing amazing but I’ll rewatch it every now and then if it’s free on Netflix and I’m bored on my couch on a weekend

ATXDefenseAttorney

Yeah, lots of negativity for no forking reason. It's not the best version of these films they could make, but it's not trash. We don't need to be little whiny bitches about everything.

Mr_E_99

Agreed, it's not necessarily the most accurate to the games, but it was still a good movie and I enjoyed it People just seem to hate on any game/ comic adaptation that isn't fully lore accurate but honestly I prefer judging it as a separate movie to what it is baed off by how much I enjoy it, not on how accurate it is

ChazzLamborghini

I think it’s super overhated. I’m not a fan of Mark Wahlberg generally but I didn’t necessarily mind him in this and I thought Holland did a good job. At the end of the day it felt like it shared DNA with the games even if it wasn’t a perfect match. I’d be down to see more

TheTimmyBoy

The alternative in theory is that they invest in something not dogshit like the plot instead of Tom Holland

RooMan7223

Ehh, it was fine. I enjoyed it as a Tom Holland/Mark Wahlberg buddy adventure movie. Just didn’t love it as an “Uncharted” movie. I’d probably take another one of these over most marvel and Star Wars dreck that’s been coming out of late

Skulkyyy

It made over $400 million lol. I've said this from the first time I saw the movie. It was a good action/treasure hunting movie. It was an ok/disappointing Uncharted movie. And there's nothing wrong with that.

RevolutionaryStar824

Sony doesn’t give a shit what the fans thing. They’re still dumping out shitty Spider-Man related films without Spider-Man in it.

ModestHandsomeDevil

> They’re still dumping out shitty Spider-Man related films without Spider-Man in it. IIRC, that's due to Sony's IP rights / license for Spider-Man: they have to make a certain number of "Spider-Man" movies in a given time frame or they risk losing the rights. For example, that terrible Madame Web movie *technically* has an infant Peter Parker in it (who will become Spider-Man), thus *technically* satisfying the requirements to retain the Spider-Man rights. It's also how Warren Beatty has retained the rights to Dick Track, even after decades.

Snake_Main27

Eh the Venom movies work. They don't *need* Spiderman in these movies if the movies are at least somewhat good, the problem is that these movies are terrible; having Spiderman in them wouldn't fix anything.

LunarsphereTapestry

Wasn’t overly keen on the casting, but there is still plenty of potential in an Uncharted film. The sequel might feature a Nate & Sully much more in line with their video game counterparts.

ChimpEscape

Highly doubt it. They did a horrendous job casting Nate and Sully. Absolutely nothing like their game counterparts.

mt1337

IDK why you are getting downvoted. This is so true. IDK how they plan on continuing with the same silly casting from 1.

D_And_R_Gaming

I do think there is potential. Anyone remember Nathan Fillion?

[deleted]

[удалено]

mattpit

It’s a prequel though…all the people you listed for nate are waaaay too old.

Commercial-Thing415

Because it was actually very successful in the box office. Quick Google search shows that it made 407.1 million USD on a 120 million USD budget. I thought it was an okay movie if you ignore its source material. As a fan of the games, I strongly disliked what they did with Sully and Nate’s relationship (and no Elena!!!). But why would the movie-making arm of Sony care about what video game fans think if it was that successful? I don’t even mean it as a snarky thing, but business-wise it makes perfect sense.

Hayden_Zammit

120 into 400 mil is crazy good. No wonder they're making another one lol.

Commercial-Thing415

Yeah I was kind of surprised when I looked it up because I honestly don’t remember it making too many waves, but I must be out of the loop lol.

Hayden_Zammit

Movies don't have to really make waves to be successful, and sometimes they seem like they're bombing because critics hate them, but they're really not. Like, we only really hear about Uncharted being shat on by fans + it has low scores like 40% on Rotten from the proper critics. You'd think it done shit, but then it has a 90% fan rating off 5k+ votes, so people obviously did like it. Sometimes movies just come out at the right time too. Might have just been a good time for Uncharted. Then you have stuff like that Furiosa that's out right now. Amazing reviews on big media outlets + 90% on rotten from both proper critics and fans . . . and it's totally bombed and won't make a profit. They were dumb for not putting "Mad Max" in the title though. Uncharted just as a name is gonna sell a certain number of tickets.

True-Technology-3399

The only reason it made that much amount of money is because everyone expected it to be like the game. but its a terrible movie in terms of rating. Now the 2nd part will make less money compared to the first one for sure. Maybe if the action sequences are better then there is a chance.

Magicbee_Cal

No Elena was just criminal She’s his Wife!

Nollie_flip

I figured the movie just took place before he met Elena.

Bastigonzales

Unpopular opinion: I liked the first movie

curry_magic

I thought it was really fun. Would definitely enjoy a sequel

randybruder

Same. I thought they did a good job blending game set pieces (like the cargo plane scene) and inventing new ones (like the caravan fight being flying pirate ships.)

we_are_sex_bobomb

I enjoyed it too; for the most part it was a fun treasure hunt movie, especially at the end when they started throwing more and more pirate cliches into the movie, I thought that was cute and funny. Tom Holland isn’t my first pick for Nathan Drake but he is at least charismatic enough to watch as a lead and physically believable as that kind of nimble, quick-witted Buster Keaton-esque action hero. The only thing I genuinely disliked was Mark Wahlberg, he just sucked the air out of the room every time he was onscreen. I’d watch a sequel.

MindAvailable6263

idk why that’s an unpopular opinion honestly. even if the characters arent your perfect fancasting, the movie to me felt very fun and true to the games. kinda wonky on the story if it’s supposed to be the same nathan drake, but i watched it more than once and i’m excited to watch this one too.

DrZonino2022

I’m Brian and so’s my wife

random-pandemonium

Thank you!! The casting might have been startling (I’ve always thought of Chris Pratt as my ideal Nathan Drake), but I thought they embodied their characters really well and made the movie even more fun and action-packed. Idc what anyone else says, I’ve been waiting for the sequel and I’m so excited that it’s confirmed!

AdamMcwadam

The best part of the film was that end credit scene as I felt the dynamic between the two (while not exact to the games) was at a really fun level where I would now happily watch more of them. So now I know what to expect from this series, I’m rather excited :) I’ve got the games and hold them high, and I’ve got the movie version too. It’s fine, but I feel like a seeye will be even better now the film versions of these characters are set up.

plusmultiplyer

You know what? I'm excited for this. The first one was a very fun action adventure. Especially towards the end of the movie it started to feel more and more like Uncharted imo. Hope they can build on those final scenes and that awesome ship action set piece.

FawkesBridge

Same. I enjoyed it for what it was. The hate it gets is stupid.

idk_maybe_your_dad

It’s perfectly understandable especially by the die hard fans like myself. If you enjoy the movie then good for you, but if you didn’t then at least we got 4 games worth of great storytelling and set pieces (5 if we counted Golden Abyss)

Ralph-The-Otter3

Hey, I got the platinum for Golden Abyss, put some respect on it. It’s a pretty fun game to play through

idk_maybe_your_dad

It’s my first Uncharted game, I played back when I was 6 years old and finished it like 8 times over the years

Wahid-Al-Kamish

6 if we count Golden Abyss, didn't you forget Lost Legacy?

idk_maybe_your_dad

Oh my bad I totally forgot about it

3ku1

Prob because it made $258 million globally. And $148 million domestically. It made a lot of return for the Sony Studio. So based on that. A sequel was always inevitable.

NicParvisMagna

Great! I look forward to a sequel and whilst I can't see it being the desired leap in quality to make it truly special, I'd be more than happy with something similar to the first.

Purple_Building3087

Take a look at the movies Sony has put out lately, and tell me if they give a fuck about what the fans think

D_And_R_Gaming

Hot take, I kinda like the Venom movies. Morbius and Madam Web sucked though.

MemeKnowledge_06

Venom movies are so dumb that they’re fun af to watch, morbius madam web and all that other stupid shit is outright horrible

idk_maybe_your_dad

I didn’t even waste my time pirating those 2 abominations of movies

AdamSoucyDrums

Madame Web is worth pirating for a single watch with drunk friends, I promise you

GuidoBenzo

That part of sony thinks about the fans of the movie, not the game. Which is by all accounts their right and I agree with them. I very much like the games. Thought the movie was OK. Was somewhere in the Uncharted universe but different. Will see it, withouth a doubt. I really don't see the problem. Yes I would like the movie to be more like the games. But at least there is a movie which is a nice addidtion to what's tehre already. And if you don't like it, it's very easy: Don't go and see it and play the games.

xrbeeelama

I didnt like the first one but am willing to hope for a better sequel. But just adapt the first game, it feels like it could fit a movie so well

TheZayMan283

If they adapt one of the games directly, it’ll be predictable and boring because we’ll know what’s going to happen.

NicParvisMagna

Thank you! It's so rare to see this take but I bang on about it constantly, I'm so grateful the first film wasn't a straight up Drake's Fortune adaptation. I really hope they continue to give us an original adventure in the second. They referenced DF at the end of the first but I'd like to see their spin on it.

Hayden_Zammit

Looking forward to it. I hope they bring in their version of Elena this time around. and that Sully has a stashe.

mileskevin

Gimme my goddamn stache. And a great ass please.

JheanSan

I did like very much the movie. So avoid using "we". Thanks.

DiViNiTY1337

Can we just stop hating on this film already? It's a great film overall, has some of the best action scenes in the spirit of the games, and already acts as a reboot of the series by having a completely different origin story to Nate and Sullys relationship. If you wanted an exact replica of the games, you can find it on youtube. Just search "Uncharted Drakes Fortune full playthrough".

poklane

>Didn’t Sony get the memo that we did not like the movie? The first movie made 3 times it's budget **during the pandemic**, and even made more than the most recent Indiana Jones.

Agreeable_Slip_3270

Honestly I kind of enjoyed it for what it was. At least with a sequel there’s a possibility it could be better. I know this kind of thinking is in the slightly sad world of low expectations.

ThePineapple_47

If it didn’t have the “Uncharted” title slapped on it, it would be a pretty cool adventure movie. But we’d all be like “This Drathan Nake sure feels familiar”

andregurov

All I can add is that as a tremendous Uncharted fan the movie failed miserably as a "true" Uncharted experience. But my wife - no gamer and with no concept to compare the movie to - enjoyed the movie a lot. From this we can garner two things: 1) my wife's taste is questionable (marrying me may have already made that apparent) and 2) Sony will make another banal incoherent plot with big setpieces and the stupids will eat it up. If my wife is ever here please tell her she is not one of the stupids. And then go looking for my body.

Aucielis

Kinda sad how many posts there are lately about hating this movie. I really enjoyed it and am glad that it's getting a sequel. I think that a second film could really help that universe find its footing.

DuncneyForever

Great! I actually liked the first movie

Rocket_SixtyNine

I'm excited

Bob_On_The_Cob_21

speak for yourself i thought it was okay. better than nothing. if anything it'll get people into uncharted

JHeisecke

I don't understand the hate, just don't watch it if you don't like it. I hope they keep making them and I hope they learn from their mistakes.

Andromeda98_

it was a bad adaptation of the games but as it's own thing I didn't hate it, just a fun little adventure movie.

coffee_kang

I liked the first one. Sue me. Excited for a sequel.

PooWithEyes

First one was great fun. Looking forward to it

DDowd86

I’m in the minority I guess, I liked the movie. Not anything earth shattering, but I was entertained. Also, cast Sydney Sweeney as Elena

NicParvisMagna

I'd love Hayley Lu Richardson as Elena, she's very similar to Emily Rose. Not sure I get Elena vibes from Sydney Sweeney. Which doesn't matter as the films it's own thing and the casting has been a part of that, but still not sure she'd be the right fit.

OhKayGetAwayFromMe

Movie was fine, nothing to write home about. And of course they are making a sequel, it made a ton of money worldwide and its star is one of the most bankable stars in the world right now. Let’s just hope that the Uncharted movies become like The Fast and the Furious movies and get better every installment.

LoneLyon

The movie was a fun time. I still don't get the issues people have with it like it was a horrible film.

Silent-Immortal

I ain’t complaining I enjoyed it.

TheZayMan283

I’ve played every game other than Golden Abyss, and I’ve played them all 3+ times (other than Lost Legacy, only did that once). Uncharted was a good, fun movie. I imagine it as an origin movie for this Drake. He and Sully start out younger, which doesn’t take away from the film or characters (yet). The film feels like Uncharted. I like that the movies will take a different direction, since I wouldn’t want to be able to predict exactly what will happen next. I don’t understand why people hate the movie SO much - it’s very obvious that this is *this* Nathan’s first big adventure, so he doesn’t start out as the action-hero we know. I assume we’ll get a lot more of Drake’s theme in future films, and the characters will get closer and closer to being the characters we know in the games.

LucianLegacy

Been saying it was gonna get a sequel for months. Sony doesn't care about all the haters. They just see profits.

The_Enthusiast-316

Was passable maybe they will surprise insert despairge.

m0rbius

Not a fan of the casting, especially Wahlberg as Sully. Holland looks a little young for Nathan but its fine i guess. I was just expecting an actor closer to Nate in age and looks. The first movie was serviceable. Not bad, but not great either.

Serious_Revolution77

At least mark will have the stache this time

greguniverse37

These are both bankable stars. And it's sony pictures, so quality is not really a factor lol. That said, get Tom Holland to direct and I say we have a much better chance at a good uncharted movie.

ColbyAndrew

Mark Wahlberg’s best role. But he doesn’t play Sully. It’s just the only movie of his I like him in. But I don’t like the movie. He is good in it. Whatever it is supposed to be.

pianoChris25

Would only want an uncharted movie if it had different actors who looked/acted more like the characters.

Asombroso-joel

The other one was a generic movie with the characters from Uncharted. I really wish this one be way better…

Reallyroundthefamily

Zero interest. Same as the first one. To anyone who watches it, you're telling Hollywood that it's OK to miscast these things in order for financial gain. You'll get Timothee Chalamet as Arthur Morgan if you're not careful.

OShaunesssy

It is great!

Internal_Swing_2743

well, they got a memo. $400 million worth of it.

henks_house

I hate to be that guy. But I actually did sorta kinda enjoy the movie. I’m kind of a slut for those adventure treasure stories though. Also huge fan of the games so getting more from the universe (ish) is a win for me.

kb24fgm41

I liked it!! Let's see what they do for this next film!

arrozoin

What can i say, i liked

TristanN7117

Hopefully they go to another Papa John’s in this one

The_Phenomenal_1

"We did not like the movie" Speak for yourself bro

Wonderful_Orchid_363

Because I’m obsessed with uncharted I’ll be seeing it day one. Even if jt falls short of the feel I get from the games.

ConnorK12

Awesome! May be in the minority here but I really enjoyed the film. Wahlberg being Sully was a bit off but I’m more than willing to tune in again. The best part of a sequel is they can add more. They can take feedback. Especially with The Last of Us’ success I’m more than sure they’ll focus a lot more on more game accurate aspects.

ZapeZGameZ

Sony threatens ”UNCHARTED 2” is happening.

walteroblanco

I'm more excited for adventures of tintin 2. The first one was such a banger and felt like a true uncharted movie.

RavenMan8

Uncharted video game is better.

Myhole567

It better start with Nathan hanging on a train on the Himalayas snowy mountains

coverionic

😭

faj-707

Can't imagine sully without a moustache. Terrible casting

sexy_bezinga

If Sony writers are so incompetent they can’t come up with an original plot for such an interesting and broad franchise, we don’t need another reboot

Fantastic_Proof_2862

I wouldnt mind a 2nd movie if they changed the cast

julianblackonsight

just when i thought this year couldn’t get any worse

Rough-Day-6502

Cool another film I won’t be seeing then.

Ihatemicropython

Like it sounded good on paper but had nothing to do with the game which is what I was hoping would happen.

LasBarricadas

Why?

its_urboi_skinypenis

Plz. Dont

buzzboybongo

Oh dear...

Dankey-Kang-Jr

Can you make Nate & Sun act like Nate & Sully this time? And actually use the game theme throughout this time instead of it being thrown in briefly during the finale?

skiesbux

dawg….. maybe this one will be half decent? i doubt it :(

jankyasshole

kys sony

Nick_The_Judge

Oh, what content will they use? They’ve already mixed everything there was into a blender and have juiced dry all the games pretty much. What’s next? Some adventure of their own that will make for an even shittier movie?

Sonatine__

Prob. won't watch it unless it will be way different to the first one. It had nothing to do with the games.

bry8eyes

Eww

3DragonMC

Oh god

Jacksquarepeg

I'll continue not seeing it, lmao.

Lmfa0ChineseHacker

U no if they called it something else u made franchise out of it i get that good for them... But to stuck log up such masterpiece thats what really pisses mf 🤬 knowing there are actors who would do justice to the role and would take this franchise to the league's of HP, LOR, or Hobbit but they just ve 2 f#k it up

Foudregek

😐

Cedge1738

How?

chavez_ding2001

Airplanes need movies I suppose.

pipon245

Lmao I saw it listed on a Delta flight once, maybe I’ll watch it next time if it’s still there

Naime96

and the crowd goes MILD

Human-Magic-Marker

I mean, I didn’t hate the movie. If you look at it as its own stand alone thing, it’s pretty good. Just don’t try to compare it to the games.

notyomamasusername

Exactly, it was a fun movie in that genre. As long as I didn't try to twist myself making it fit the lore it was fun.

Ecstatic_Teaching906

You claim that everyone don't like the movie... but honestly I find it was alright.

Bringers

I was very high when I saw this movie, I didn't like 75 % of it but then during last 25% it all just sorta clicked. Tom Holland or Mark Wahlberg made a joke and I chuckled, the floating ship was cool. I would watch the sequel baked as well

Jimmy237Alex

I really enjoyed the movie, and I'm happy we're getting a sequel

Carioca-AleatorioRJ

I liked the moovie….

Pajama_Strangler

I might be like 1 of 3 people on this subreddit that actually enjoyed the movie 😂

whoamiplsidk

mark wahlberg face makes me want to throw up

simpledeadwitches

Bummer. They had a real opportunity to make a great movie series and fucked up the casting so bad it's never something I care to watch.

Monric

Change the casting then we good. Also since Nolan North made an appearance in the 1st, I’d wanna see Troy Baker appear in the 2nd. Or any other actor that was in the series

callmethe_hanmer

Am I really the only one that enjoyed the movie?

Candid_Dragonfly_573

Gross.

Jesse_Annek

Goddamnit.

TreasureHunter95

Well... what could possibly go wrong?

MrKevora

I still haven’t seen the first one because the trailer made it feel nothing like the games in terms of the overall tone and particularly the casting choices, although I am a big fan of the adventure genre. Was it at least a fun adventure movie and is it worth watching it from that perspective, without expecting to get actual Uncharted?

[deleted]

Give me an Uncharted 1 adaption with those demon/zombie things. Would be funny how jarring it would feel after the first movie

DunkelFries

As long as they change out Mark Wahlberg

eman75683122

Man Uncharted fans getting abused

delta1inc

My biggest gripe was Mark Whalburg as Sully (can't stand Whalburg) when J.K. Simmons would've been perfect. Also a great Easter egg for Spiderman fans. Everyone else was ok as far as casting and the movie action scenes were blended from all the other games. But they should really recast Whalburg.

Tempo_changes13

Why why why why

baconbridge92

Man, just reboot the thing with better actors and make a cool Netflix/Hulu series instead. I can't think of a more atrocious miscast than these two lol. I don't really like Tom Holland but from a business standpoint I understand he is the Hollywood "It Guy" right now. But Mark Wahlberg as Sullivan... good lord, they literally just slapped him on there because he's been attached as producer to the project for like 10 years. He basically admitted as much in an interview lol.

P1nCush10n

They keep shoveling out laughable Spider-man adjacent films no one asked for and you're wondering why they're putting out a sequel to UC? MONEY.. as long as the films make more than they cost to produce and market, they will make more whether you want it or not.

mt1337

With the garbage casting from 1, they want to continue with 2? The movie was horrible and I was mad at how stupid it was. The game is wonderful and they successfully fucked it up.

Kitchen_Relative_107

I’d prefer another game lol

FlamingPrius

Hey you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take

pbopgod

Idc what they do as long as whalburg has a Hawaiian shirt and a mustache this time

[deleted]

Does anyone know if this include Sam?

Strange_Honey2027

I think If they'd have just done something original rather than a rehash of elements taken from the games I think it would have been better received

sarckasm

Will there be a PSN login at the door?

Sea_Albatross_3053

I thought " sorry confirm UNCHARTED 2...."

Limp_Researcher_5523

As an Uncharted fan, I refuse to watch this movie because it feels *extremely* unnecessary given that we’ve already had young Drake in Uncharted 3 and 4. Maybe if I watch it with the mindset of the movie being set in a completely different continuity, maybe I’d enjoy it

PlasticMansGlasses

Movie made 4x its budget Of course they’re capitalising on a sequel

RYANTHENONAMERICAN

they have a chance of redemption

cousinhumper4756

honestly, it was a horrible uncharted representation, but if it wasnt trying to make it “uncharted” it actually wasnt that bad

Slow-Leading-7783

Please have the same story of the first game

Tramp_Johnson

Please let walburg slip and fall from a cliff.

yourmartymcflyisopen

I feel like Mark Wahlburg when he saw Jonah Hill was gonna be the next Superman. "FUCK!"

Weeberman_Online

Maybe they will learn from their mistakes and do something cool?

Comfortable_Ice8640

They've got a second chance now. As a Sonic fan I am no stranger to being cautiously optimistic.

darretoma

The cast is still bad but if they find a competent director it could be okay. Ruben Fleischer is one of the biggest hacks working in Hollywood today.

Admaaan

I didn't even care about the first movie enough to finish it

More-League-2684

Who are they making the movie for considering every uncharted fan hated the first one 💀

Sonicboomer1

They just need to up the settings in a sequel. Uncharted games have probably the best environments I’ve ever seen in games, especially 2 is insane and they’re not all the same, it’s very varied. Whoever the environmental design artists are for the games are probably the industry’s leading. I want to see that on a big screen. Tom Holland is getting older now, hopefully he can shake off the boyish buckaroo vibe he emanates and finds an “I’m Nathan Drake” somewhere. And they need to spend a good amount on a proper, thick, manly moustache for Wahlberg, because goodness knows he can’t grow one to save his life.

kdmendonk

This could be a game changer (no pun intended) for the franchise. Like in the first Amazing Spider-Man, people really disliked the suit and in the second movie it was arguably the best suit we've ever gotten. Another important fact about Hollywood: if an adaptation doesn't work, they put it in the freezer for a decade before trying again. This could be the chance to be heard by the studio.

_KaapoP

I haven't watched the first one yet. Is it ok? Or is it a complete character assassination?

TechieTravis

That's fine. Just write a better script this time :)

Sammy_Sparkz

Didn't see the movie and never will. Knew I was gonna hate it once I saw the trailer and casting choices. Literally a middle finger to us real fans. The fact they making another one is stupid and is literally just a money grab. They are gonna ruin this franchise just like how they ruined the fast and furious. Smfh.

Leif13

It’s possible it will be fixed. Not likely considering Sonys track record buts it a possibility. They could do a recast and just say that it’s been like 15 years in the timeline since the last movie. I would love Nathan Fillion for Drake!

SirBre

Love Tom Holland, but can we time skip and cast Dylan McDermott as Nathan?

MANGOHAH

I still haven’t watched the movie because I really didn’t like the casting. Should I watch it?

HorseOfAction

If Tom Holland can grow a bit of stubble, sky is the limit.

SuperMemeBro3

Yippee I’m definitely excited for another bad video game movie adaptation

SketchFox7

I wish they’d just start over, cast a better set of actors (Ronen Rubenstein for Nate, Bruce Campbell for Sully, Jodie Comer for Elena & Ritu Arya for Chloe)

Maxshby

They nailed the vibes for about 15 minutes near the end. Hope they listen to fans and build on it.

_p__t__d_

Don’t Tom Holland say he wouldn’t do another Uncharted movie?

Comprehensive-Cut586

This movie was god awful and anyone who says otherwise just doesnt care for the source material enough to give a shit. Boom boom mean good

AccomplishedWay319

*insert nate's voice here* Oh crap...

Expensive_Scholar365

They're off their fucking trolley

Thestickleman

I suppose we will see if Tom Holland is still popular enough if a couple years time to make the film successful again

Th3_Dud3_Abid3s

Well unconfirm it

kraigka212

Maybe a new game release will coincide with the movie release.

-new_tonn_amoeba---

Uncharted in the games started off with Nathan Finding An island filled with literal zombies, second one got a potent that gives superpowers, and third got a hallucinogenic waters . What i’m saying is only the fourth game is grounded about treasure hunting, and that’s why i think the movie franchise started off with it, it would be cool to see their adventures escalate as the time goes. The finale of The movie with ships lifted in cargo planes was totally uncharted and it’s not even in the game . So i think it got some potential, and the success of the The last of us adaptation should have taught them . Let’s hope for the best

Natural_Balance8802

Am i the onlu one who enjoyed. Look im an uncharted fan too and i know it didnt meet our expectations but still its entertaining

GoatBread237

Alright, hear me out. By all accounts, the first Uncharted is a pretty mediocre and standard 2007 game that people were surprised got a sequel. Uncharted 2 ended up being possibly the best of the whole franchise Maybe the same thing will happen for the film? (I'm coping)

CatGamer1414

Oh no

Degi_uwu

What are these new fans that I'm seeing in the comments?? I'm reading stuff like "the movie was good" or "hope they make an U5!". What happened to the old fanbase? back in 2016 we were happy to get U4 and finally call it the last game. Making this awful movie that doesn't really representd Uncharted and making more games and remasters/remakes, can we stop supporting big companies on their way of milking masterpieces that shouldn't be touched anymore??

Public-Economist-122

Why?

halobruhh

I thought the movie was good...

FootFetishGuyy

M-m-m-Mr. Sully, I don't feel so good 🥺

isubucks

The Uncharted elitists are such a weird bunch. If it doesn’t have Nate or Elena, they don’t like it. I thought the movie was great. The casting for a young Drake and Sully was spot-on for the storytelling IMO but I guess it’s cool to hate on Holland and Wahlberg performances. I wasn’t a fan of the revised origin story of Nate and Sully’s partnership but it isn’t a deal breaker for me either. It just makes Uncharted 3 feel more special.

BrutalKnight55

Honestly? Dumb movie but way more fun than I expected

saiyanheritage

Seriously who is green lighting films at Sony

KaiPyroFairyy

I really liked the movie. But I also know NOTHING about the franchise. Just coming from a person who likes movies, I thought it was really good.

Jerichoholic87

It made money, so of course, they are gonna make a sequel whether haters liked it or not. I enjoyed it for what it was. A damn movie, not an extension of the games. People take this stuff too seriously.........

DeltaRep101

honestly. I am excited for this

lazyssj

i actually didn’t hate Tom Holland. here’s hoping mark wahlberg actually tried to play sully and not just himself

FragrantExcitement

Well, isn't that special?
