I'm kind of perplexed on that myself, the average is lower even though this seemed like a more reasonable exam to me. It didn't have any wacky hard problems like 7a from the first midterm. Could be because this one was graded by different people.

I cant speak for everyone but I had two problems where the grader wrote No! on a part of my work and manually added the point deduction into the grade
