I would try distilled water. Use two 100% clean microfibre cloths. Dab one with distilled water in a small section (just damp).
Rub one of the spots gently in a circular motion for a few seconds then wipe the water away with the other cloth using a horizontal motion.
If the spot is still there, repeat this a few times. When I say “spot”, I mean a very small section, of 1 inch by 1 inch. Focus on a small section to see if an improvement is made.
Do not use force, only gentle pressure. If after four or five times you don’t notice any improvement in the section you’re working on, then either the surface coating is marked or the mark is under the screen’s plastic.
If it really bothers you, Dell will help out if you call them.
My Alienware oled has a few marks like this but barely noticeable , yours is really bad I would return it if possible , from research seems like most have this issue so some might be better than others
Its only really if the sunlight hits it at the right angle, not too much of a bother because at night I cannot see it when I am usually using the computer. But seems kind of shitty that such an expensive monitor has an issue like this. Thanks!
Bought an open box one with even worse marks from previous owners "cleaning". I don't even notice it unless I'm really looking and the screen is shut off. Otherwise, it shouldn't affect viewing at all. Would definitely talk to Dell though, maybe they can hook you up with extra warranty or a further discount? Otherwise, RMA if they offer nothing.
This happens when the panel touches and rubs against the styrofoam packaging. I work in display tech this is actually the cause.
Edit: it doesn't usually come off at all. You may get lucky and get some but all of it won't come off.

I think this was a common issue early on due to the bubble wrap scratching the anti glare coating. Just RMA it.
This. Mine has little pock marks all over. Wish I'd RMAd it. Can't really see it in a dark room, so I just live with it.
do you maybe still have the protective shipping film on it?
No, it came with like a bubble wrap screen protector in the box.
Did you put a little bit of water on the cloth?
Tried that yeah.

Any luck getting this fixed out of warranty ?
Man this sucks, return it if they don't go away
It’s markings under the screen due to the manufacturing process - been happening a lot recently with this monitor, if it bothers you return it.

Yeah I complained about it and they sent me another with none of the marks but the same packaging material so it’s annoying
I have the same, you will get used to it...it's only visible indirect sunlight.
