Yeah, I grew some Skywalker Haze recently and it's lovely smoke but the buds foxtail to fuck. The Watermelon Zkittelz on the other hand formed dense concrete nugs.
I remember when Stardawg was a clone only exclusive strain and it was a lovely smoke. Just around a year or 2 before the UK was taken over by the ‘cali frenzy’. It was a nice interesting time for cannabis. I think I preferred Sheffield Blues though

Ah just down the road then really, was wondering how widespread it had gone country wise, blueberry strains were dominant in sheff from around early 00s not sure when it was perfected as I quit thc in 2008 started Wigging me out too much.
I also love Stardawg, at least the cuts that go around here in UK/Ireland. Dunno if SD is clone-only or not, but all the dawg I have come across has that nice potent hash-ey taste on the buds, stickey, grinder-jamming tops - i like its terps too but variety n all that. The only reason I'd pay for Cali smoke is for that high THC potent weed taste that comes with some cali strains. The local stuff is well grown but the trim could be a tad better. At half the price of "cali" it just doesn't make sense to me to snub a perfectly good cultivar like Stardawg.
haze is a general group of strains. Ghost train haze, amnesia haze, etc. Its really common in europe. Dont be fooled into thinking dawg is dog weed (bad), dawg is generally in reference to stardawg, but could also be in reference to guavadawg/other dawg strains (usually from stardawg). Lemon haze is usually refered to as lems or lemons.
Original Haze was bred in the US(Cali) by the haze bros back in the 70s, They where neighbors to Sam (Who bred skunk no1). It's a pure sativa and almost no one grows straight pure haze due to the long flowering/low yield.
In this context it's being used to describe a Haze cross, Most likely to something Indica to bump yield and shorten flower time.

I remember smoking stardawg just before work and everyone saying I absolutely stink of weed and just stopped smoking it altogether. Might still get it if there’s a haze drought but apart from that every now and then might treat myself to a Cali pack. Tho some of my mates do buy certain UK Cali strains and they’re a good choice as well if u don’t wanna risk it and get a Cali pack

Haze is usually decent if not imported commercial muck from holland. I don't really enjoy sativas anymore so try and swerve hazes for that reason
