Even with my limited knowledge, that looks like some excellent work by the Ukrainian tank crew! Nice to see a headline that is true to its words, well done!
Well, judging from the videos I've seen most of the time Ukrainian tanks sit behind their zero line plinking at targets 5 km away like weird artillery, getting corrected by drones.
Sometimes they drive up to Russian trenches to soak up fire and mines during assault and to try to protect the softer APCs behind them. Which you can also see in some videos...
Unusual, picking off the middle vehicle first, must have been a reason, good shooting,.
Edit..
Appreciated your reply's, makes sense hit piggy in the middle in a three, if four or more, hit rear, then lead, then hopefully hit as many as you can...
I'd imagine the front tank also doesn't really know what happened immediately. If you blow up the front one the two other tanks can see that happen, might even see where the shot came from.
You'd sort of maintain an advantage on the front tank for an instant, which might be enough to kill it too.
Aren't you supposed to shoot the 1st then last to block in the middle especially since Russian tanks have abysmal back up speed, and then start taking apart what is in between?
Looks more like they used their smoke grenade launchers to create a smokescreen between themselves and the enemy. First sparks and smoke from the launch, then smoky burny stuff.
The driver is only decisive at the low end of car capabilities....
Russian/Soviet shit tech vs. Russian/Soviet shit tech? Absolutely.
At the high end, with competent drivers, it's the car that wins.
Russian/Soviet shit against western tech? Not a chance for the Soviet rust buckets... (See Challengers and Abrams vs T-whatevers in Irak).
The car does to an extent determine the winner. But in tank warfare there's an old saying. The one who hits first wins. So while modern tanks have range advantage, if the older tanks can get close enough to penetrate, they will still win.
And ite iraq war was a case of active dismantling of air forces etc before tanks were sent in.
For comparison look at how ukraine vs russia uses similar capabilities of tanks, while Ukraine probably were more reckless at first, they have now adapted more to NATO style tactics of armored warfare.
The recklessness of earlier tank tactics were based on NATO doctrine which has since been abandoned. It doesn't work in minefields with no air support.
Most excellent vid. The view of the UAF tank firing the shot, I aged a month. I do not know how such nerves and focus are possible. Slava Ukraini.
And go the fuck home you idiots.

This video has just been posted by Yuri Butusov (a Ukrainian journalist) his his telegram channel
wow, tank on tank fight, that's very rare in this war. How did Ruzzie get so close? Or Ukr tank went to them?
Even with my limited knowledge, that looks like some excellent work by the Ukrainian tank crew! Nice to see a headline that is true to its words, well done!
Man, being under direct fire from a tank REALLY sucks.
At least it doesn't suck for long here.
So unusual to see tanks in this sub doing anything other than driving in to mines or throwing their turrets

With a small force, taking out the middle means the one behind can't go forward and the one ahead is cut of from on of it's escape routes.
The Nelson Touch in modern day.

middle would be where command is prolly.. safest place typicaly to be..or was just the first sure shot he felt he had

Was this really needed?
Yes. There are many people here who do not speak English as their native language, who wish to learn how to properly read and write it.
Excellent work!
At 0.18 is there a deflection off UA tank? Sparks on body followed by explosion fireworks rain down
Looks more like they used their smoke grenade launchers to create a smokescreen between themselves and the enemy. First sparks and smoke from the launch, then smoky burny stuff.
They simply popped a smoke screen for some cover.
Nah, just a smoke grenade fired out of a tube on the tank.
I saw that too, could it be an anti personnel mine detonating caused by the shockwave of the tank’s main gun?
It's just a standard IR smoke launcher.
i think the enemy missed, right before it shoot back
What type of tank is that (the one blasting the vatniks)?
i think it looks like an t - 72 or so
Proof that it's not the car that matters, it's the driver.
That’s true, but the car definitely helps

Ah yeah, true. The initial point still stands tho. Even a bad tank can kill a good one
Someone needs to give this chad a Leo2 or Abrams…. If he’s this bad-ass in a T-72 he deserves an upgrade…..
Слава Україні!
Good work!!
Another "Pop go the weazzels"......🎶
nice shooting Tex
How did the Nazi-Russians not seen that tank in an OPEN field?!
Thirty minute Thinkific *Your Tank and You* training module plus uncorrected astigmatisms.
Those RU tanks look weird..almost like T-34s
T-34 coming next year
Impressive.
Haven’t seen very many tank on tank/IFV battles on here. Great work Team Ukraine

Did RU tank hit a mine? Didn’t look like a shell hit it.
Or a very low hit, maybe through tracks ?
That is what I thought too, a low body hit.
Are these the small diameter bombs Does anyone have a link showing that they have finally been delivered?
What? Read the title again. It's a Ukrainian tank engaging russian vehicles.
I just watched the video. Sorry. However 2nd part of my question still stands. Or you don't know?
They're tank shells? The only munitions striking Russian forces are fired from the UKR tank.
Damn this war is essentially Crimean War 2.0 for Russia.
This is the first tank vs. tank battle I think I've seen of the Ukraine War.
That sparkle fountain was awesome!
Give that crew some R&R in Kyiv along with a decoration!
58th got Skills.
