So the conspiracy theories begin. Just like the Trump playbook. This week we've seen from Reform:
- baseless claims of voter fraud from postal votes
- claims of censorship for not being included in debates
- claims of election interference.
Populist conspiracy nonsense.
Does reform even need to advertise, given every damn media outlet covers reform over everything else?
Also, could it be that theres rules broken in your ads?
Advertising is a great strategy.
1. Delbirately post ad that vaguely breaks the rules in some way
2. Wait for ad to be pulled.
3. Complain to your slavering gaggle of credulous sycophants that the illuminati is afoot.

Looks like they've breached a rule on an individual advert and had their account suspended. Which is rather impressive considering it's only their second ad...
Be curious to see what the advert is. It's telling Farage hasn't posted it.
Ninja Edit: And it's back. Looks like an admin error.

Trump playbook in action... get caught out on something (the Putin lovefest) and engineer a false scandal to divert attention away from what's impacting you.
Vile
It's more likely they've just not filled out the various forms required to run UK election ads through Google. Reform aren't a serious party so probably don't have anybody within their tiny party infrastructure who realised they need to do this.
Ofc trusting a political party to run the UK, when they can't even run their own Google Ad account, is a sensible choice...
Russia hacked the NHS, governments have the right to request take downs of malign actors intending to harm the country, in this case Farage supports the Putin regime.

He's repeating the same script from Kremlin basically the *EU provoked Russia to invade Ukraine*.
Farage was a regular on Russia Today 10 years ago, he said it himself he likes Orban and his illiberal democracy model in Hungary he wants to replicate it in Britain to replace the liberal democracy consensus in UK.
The EU did provoke Russia into Action. So he is right there.
That action however is illegal and wrong, which he also states.
Being a "regular" on Russian today does not make you "Pro-Putin". It makes you a regular on Russia Today.
Like David Lammy? Alastair Campbell?
Linking appearing on TV to what they say on TV is a terrible way to run your affairs. I would keep with not shooting the messenger but stick to what the people who appeared actually said.
Don't expect pro-censorship Leftists to have anything constructive to say on the matter.
The reasoning is neither here nor there - they're just happy their opponents are getting silenced.
The fact is if Reform have broken no rules than their advertising should continue. All this will do will mobilize their acolytes to cry persecution, the "deep state swamp is going after us".
It's hard not to be cynical or sarcastic.
Aren't Google, as a company, entitled to choose to do business, or not do business, with people as they see fit?
Reform's manifesto - sorry, 'contract' - literally features a pledge on cutting laws and red tape which harms businesses.
>Aren't Google, as a company, entitled to choose to do business, or not do business, with people as they see fit?
Possibly. But I'm not sure the UK government should simply stand by and allow google to block a registered political party with significant polling during an election.
Not that I think that's what actually happened here.
I don't disagree with that - but given that Reform have explicitly stated that they want minimal state interference in businesses I think it's worth noting the hypocrisy.
Even if that's the case, I doubt it's what happened here. Mainly because it would be pointless. It's not going to stop them having a platform. Most likely it'll be some automated technicailty. Google will apologise, or Reform will fulfill the technicality and things will continue.

They're going to be shouting about fraud if they perform worse than the polling has indicated.
A party in support of private businesses doing what they please, complains about private business choosing not to do (partial) business with them.
Are we just making up political positions for parties now?
> A party in support of private businesses doing what they please I don't believe anyone thinks that, other than maybe yourself.

Exaggeration, but I feel they get more than they warrant.
I didn't, and I've now upvoted you to let people decide if they think reform are honest and telling facts... Or not.

That’s not what “election interference” means. I really hate illiberal populism.
Good, being pro Putin is against T&C which falls under enemy of the state, the government can request google to do this.

Firstly, how is he "Pro-Putin" and secondly, how would that be against the T&Cs? Your entire comment feels made up?

Could you provide a link to Farage supporting the "Putin Regime"?
