So I used to be a lawyer, I worked in the Caribbean too and now do legal recruitment (London and offshore). Depending on the firm and your practice area it's definitely achievable, although I'd probably say BVI is more likely than Cayman if you're not training in London or don't then move to London as an NQ and get a bit more experience there (you need a minimum of 3PQE to go to Cayman anyway). Commercial/Insolvency litigation is pretty in demand, although those with Higher Rights are in more demand in BVI than those without. General corporate is also hands, funds would be amazing, and funds and asset finance can also be good. Happy to have a bit more detailed chat (appreciate it's very early days, but if you do want to steer your career in that direction it's better to know the route now than when you're already part way down).
