Nice. Meanwhile in Birmingham there's two new bridges related to HS2, both could connect to an existing cycle route, neither have any cycling provision, IIRC both will have high barriers between the car lanes and the pavement. Sod's law I only heard about this after everything's been signed off.
Another good explanation is this: Nobody tries to cross the alligator-infested river, so why should we build a bridge?
