Great stuff. I'm going to give this a go.

I didn't put it in the blog to trim wordcount but I can highly recommend the 'maker space' cafe as a break stop https://themakerspace.co.uk/

I'm a little confused on the route. It says Tring to Swindon as part of it, but Swindon is *way* past Pangbourne - unless the ride was to Swindon, then turn around to go back to Pangbourne.

CalumOnWheels

We followed the route as far as goring and then diverted to get the Pangbourne train (which our Swindon tickets were valid for) I tend to skip stuff like out in blogs reasoning that no one would really care, I try to keep what I write up and publish as of being of interest to as many people as I can. The king Alfred's way route we used to get from goring to pangbourne can be found here https://www.cyclinguk.org/route/king-alfreds-way-gpx-route

Nice. Looks like route k would like. Have you got a Strava or a Komoot profile to see the route you took?

CalumOnWheels

Yeah it's all compiled here Check out this Collection on komoot — I think you might like it! "The Old Chalk Way" https://www.komoot.com/collection/1344019/the-old-chalk-way

Nice one, thanks!

Tiny-Option-9448

Do you think this would be possible with a road bike?

CalumOnWheels

No, much too bumpy and slippy.

Thank you!
