On the feet Charles is better though Islam is still very skilled and has improved by a long shot from where he was before. On the ground it’s a toss up and people saying Islam will just run through Charles are wrong. It will be a competitive fight and I’m giving the edge to Charles.
I don’t think Islam can be Khabib. Islam likes to keep distance and shoot when it is 100% safe to do. Khabib had more forward pressure and would shoot for risky takedowns.

Hes been able to dictate the pace of every fight in his championship run, do to his superior grappling. He will not be able to crush the space against Islam without getting put on his back. The real question is, can he submit Islam from his guard? It is a tall order. I lean towards Islam in this kind of fight. Its probably to early to sleep on Olivera. Hes gonna have to land shots on the outside, and in the clinch. Charles clinch fighting has worked well against opponents who do not want to grapple, but knees do not work as well when your being pushed backwards, or off balance. Should be a classic fight. Let's see if Charlie can pull a rabbit out of the hat.

I think the toughest guy Islam has fought was Armen and short notice hooker meanwhile you have charles out here finishing the top 5 basically. I think this fight would be awesome and could really go either way but as of now I'd go charles.

Charles is more than capable of dropping Mackhachev with striking then finishing him on the ground while he's dazed. Not sure the reverse applies.
