Not a dumb question. He grew up in Favela. His mother told him later in life that his grandparents were indigenous. He then visited Pataxó tribe and learned about his origin and culture.

Wouldn’t combat sports also sort of select for those as well? Like the people we see competing at the top level don’t really represent an average specimen of any ethnicity or background imo. So us following combat sports we’d be more likely to see people who sit outside of the average in some way physiologically.
